The crew arrived at 10 a.m. and finished at 5 p.m. They were masterful in their work, using ropes, harnesses and pulleys to reach limbs and cut and lower them artfully to the man working on the ground. They worked nimbly in the trees and carefully on the ground, and the worker on the ground was in charge of cleaning while they worked and loading branches in the chipper so that they branches quickly became mulch, and easy to haul away in their dump truck. Our trees were more than 25 years old and had not been professionally pruned in that time. The owner, Jason, worked with us to schedule the project as quickly as possible, as our house is listed for sale and we want it to look great to prospective buyers. And now it does. The trees look stately, they provide shade, but they also let in sunlight to the yard and house. The cost may look expensive, but it was worth every penny. The crew worked hard. The work was so impressive that our neighbors came out to look and decided to call Independent Tree Service for an estimate for trimming their trees! We can't say enough good things about this company.

Everything went very well and the crew cleaned up beautifully. They were polite and courteous. They even did a little extra cutting for me.

Arrived on time on scheduled date and worked efficiently. The tree limbs were lifted by a crane to avoid falling onto the roof and clean up was superb. Totally satisfied!

They were very professional! He walked me through the whole thing and how it was going to be done. They had professional equipment. It took all day for them to complete the work, but they took it all the way down and ground down the roots. They didn’t leave a mess and they took care of everything.

I was very pleased with the service. They were very knowledgeable about the types of trees and what needed to be done to help the remaining trees thrive. I was happy they could accommodate my request as well as provide reasonable recommendations without any hard sales tactics. I decided to have them remove two trees in the rear of the property and trim a large live oak in the front. The work was done on time as promised and there was no debris left behind save for some minor sawdust. Overall, I was very happy with the work and the fair price. I would use them again and I've already recommended them to others.

The entire process went far better than I expected. I have two live oaks that went years without maintenance prior to purchasing the home. In addition to numerous dead branches, there were weak limbs extending over the roof and rubbing up on a street light post that concerned me. I called Jerry at independent after receiving several estimates from other providers. Jerry and I scheduled a time to come out. He showed up on time, walked me through the entire process and answered all my questions. I am not familiar with the typical cost of pruning 40 year old trees so I was taken aback by the original estimate. Nevertheless, I went with Independent due to Jerry's credentials, professionalism and AL reviews. His crew of 5 showed up early which was great. Their foreman walked me through what they were planning to do and immediately got to work. They were done in just under 4 hours. They racked up all debris and completely cleared my roof off with a blower. The trees look great. While cost is always a determining factor in who we hire, I learned from other neighbors that when it comes to trees, you better get someone that knows what they are doing. I will be calling Jerry next year for a 1 year haircut on my live oaks.

Two crews came - because there was little room they had to climb. They were very careful of the understore, shrubs and deck six feet away.

Independent Tree Service provided amazing service! They cleared out a lot of my backyard which included several 60-80 ft pine trees. All of this was completed while I was at work, and when I came home I expected to see a few left over branches. There was NO mess left behind, it was almost as if no one had even been there, just that my trees had been removed! They performed the stump grinding a few days later, and now my backyard looks great! Customer service is absolutely their strong point, and I was updated consistently on the status, and always received a return phone call in a timely manner. These guys are the best, I will definitely use them in the future!

I was in need of a tree service company primarily for a tree removal for a new pool build. I typically get about 3 estimates to ensure that the company I do hire is in the mix. I chose Independent Tree Service due to their exceptional follow up on my calls. Jordan introduced himself to me on the initial estimate and provided me an education on the work he was going to perform. He is a certified arborist and knows his stuff. He was able to provide me an estimate on the spot. It is important to hire a professional tree service company for tree removal, insurance liability, work ethic and knowledge. As it turned out I had a Oak tree that was not in the plans for removal but through Jordan's assessment it wasn't healthy and he recommended the removal now as opposed to later. Jordan also help speed along the pool building permit by giving them a call and nudge. He didn't need to do this but it worked and was greatly appreciated. When the crew arrived on time, Jordan explained exactly what they were going to do. Jordan stayed and assisted his crew for most of the day. His crew were very cordial and worked all day and cleaned everything up. I already recommended their service to my neighbors and friends in need of a reputable tree service. I highly recommmend them for any tree service you may need. Very Professional, Very Competitive, Very Knowledgable! Still can't get my head wrapped around other contractors I was considering for not following up or providing an estimate via email a week later?

Contacted Jerry Cavanaugh who stated he was going out of town but would have his son conatct me. He contacted me the same day and we scheduled an appointment for March 24th. He came and was very helpful educating me about the trees we had and what would be the best way to trim them. We scheduled an appointment for April 29th due in equal parts to his busy schedule and my unavailability .When the date came they arrived at exactly the time they had promised. Jordan was not among the crew and I was worried about miscommunication but they kept in contaIct with Jordan throught the day and consulted with me at different points and the job turned out perfectly. They even cleaned out the gutters! We couldn't be happier. and will definitely use them in the future.
