Description of Work: Independent Tree Service (Jerry Upcavage) has been trimming my trees for at least 15 years. The service I have received is top notch. They are always on time, call to confirm when they will arrive, do the job they are contracted to do in a professional manner and clean up completely. I would HIGHLY recommend them.

Description of Work: Independent Tree Service was hired to trim a couple of trees and a hedge. There were some glitches in the services provided which required a return visit. The owner Mr. Upcavage promised he would correct the problems and, further that he would make everything right. The problems were corrected and he was good to his word to make up for the problem and any inconvenience. Everyone makes mistakes from time to time but it is how a business takes ownership of a mistake and handles it as well as their attitude while doing so that sets a business off as professional and this business did that.

Description of Work: We just moved to Tampa and have a massive 100+ year old oak in our yard that had seen many years of neglect. I went on Angie's List and found Independent Tree Service. After reading all the reviews from all the listed arborist a we chose Jerry and his team. Jerry came right out to the house,quickly assessed our needs, and gave us a reasonable quote to make our tree healthy again. His team was punctual,professional, and did a terrific job. They spent the day high up in the tree removing dead and rotting limbs and removing some of the weight from the branches.

Description of Work: I was having an issue with tree roots lifting my driveway. Jerry can out the same day I called and advised me of my options. Jerry was very professional and knowledgeable. A+++ company. Would DEFINITELY use again.

Description of Work: We needed to have some branches removed from two trees that were hanging over our pool birdcage. The trees were actually in my neighbor's yard (we obtained permission to do so). After purchasing a Big deal for $99, we contacted Jerry at Independent. All of our dealings with this company were very professional. A date was scheduled for the estimate and the services needed were agreed upon. We were very happy with the work done and the clean up afterwards. I highly recommend this company and would use them again.

Description of Work: Actually had two services in two steps. First was trimming of large oak trees - $1100. Beautifully done, not one stray leaf left on the lawn. I was at work all day while they did it and you would never have known they were here. Second service was after consulting with Jerry on tree roots impacting my sidewalk, driveway and back porch. Root pruning was just done for $600. A much better solution than removing the beautiful trees. I was warned that sprinkler pipes could be hit and to have a sprinkler person ready - good advice as there was considerable work after to repair these pipes. Very professional company, prompt and quality work. I would definitely recommend.

Description of Work: i called jerry to give me an estimate on getting some trees trimmed on our new home, which we had just purchased. the trees, bushes and vines had not been trimmed for over ten years and the overgrowth was significant. i was concerned with cutting too much back because we like a lush look but i wanted things to be safe and healthy. jerry talked to me about which trees were diseased and gave me a good education about what should be done now and what could wait. Jerry gave me an estimate on both the minimum to be done and going ahead and taking care of the whole shebang. I ended up going ahead and doing all the work he recomended because the price was right. it was more than i wanted to spend but because there was so much work to be done the price was really good. I had recieved several estimates and had work done on our previous home so i was real happy with the amount of work they did and the price. they trimmed a couple of oaks, removed a couple of trees, ground down the stumps, trimmed some fruit trees, took care of a bunch of unruly pepper trees and much more, plus they hauled everything away and cleaned up everything. the crew was great and checked to make sure things were cut back enough and made suggestions to me along the way
