Steven once again performed a stellar job on my huge laurel oak! I care about the longevity of the tree as well as hurricane preparedness and he is on the money in both areas. The cleanup was done with care as well. I love using a certified arborist and will call on him again !

Steve is extremely knowledgeable about trees and the environment. He is very professional keeping in touch with me and confirming appointments. In the winter, he identified two trees in the back yard as being either pecan of a another specie based solely on tree shape and bark - and in the spring, we learned that he was right on - we have pecan trees. He came back a few months later and trimmed our huge laurel oak in the front yard. It actually is two trees that have grown together. If we had not done reduction pruning of the tree canopy perimeter, the weight of the branches and leaves would have caused the tree to split in half and we would have lost the tree. Steve really cares about the trees and wants to do what is best for the trees and tree owner in the long term. He's not just a guy with a chain saw. Just talking with him for a few minutes, I realized how much he knows about trees and the environment. His prices are reasonable too. He is now my "Go To" tree expert!

Honestly, I originally wanted a different company to do the root pruning, but when they fell through (didn't return my calls or texts), Mark (Controlled Landscapes) referred Steve for the job. Steve came out and I was immediately impressed by his knowledge of trees and root systems. I hired him and he showed up with Mark's team to begin work. He used a compressed air system to expose the roots before pruning to insure the minimum amount of damage to the trees. If you need someone who knows trees, Steve is your man!
