+ -1 moreThis was a nightmare. Horrible company. They should not be in business.
Description of Work: This company was called to do a simple job and ended up doing unauthorized work. They caused a leak in my home and caused extensive damage. They were called to rectify the issue and claim they were not able to find a leak. The leak continued to cause more damage. The owner is extremely rude and takes no responsibility. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Description of Work: I had a water heater break at my house on Sunday. I called Henry Gonzalez Plumbing on Monday morning. They gave me an estimate for the work, and said they would have someone out that afternoon. He gave me some tips on how to turn off the heater and also what to do to make the job faster for the plumber since labor was an hourly rate. I appreciated the advice. They showed up on time, the were very nice people to talk with, they installed the water heater with no problems, they put my stuff back where it was and best of all, the final price was LESS than the estimate they gave me on the phone. Well done! .

+ 0 moreI told the plumbing company I was dissatisfied as it wasn't fixed. They told me to write them a letter outlining what happened. I did and included the second plumber's bill who did fix it. I already had paid them $50.00 of their $300.00 total charge but didn't pay the final $150 as it wasn't fixed after two visits. They never called again. I am a 77 year old widow and for the first time in my life nine months later I was served with a subpoena for the remaining $150.00. I had to go to court, was not allowed to bring a witness (the other plumber said he'd come) although they had a lawyer. I was at a hearing before a judge and I'd never even been in a courtroom before. Being fearful of retaliation or another date where my plumber who did fix it couldn't come, I elected to simply pay the total costs of over $1,200 (court costs and their lawyer's fee) plus the $150 I already paid them, plus the $150.00 I paid the plumber who did fix it.
Description of Work: The above date is approximate but close. The company sent out a plumber who was a gas expert twice to fix a tankless water heater as his truck didn't carry nickle-sized celonoids which he said was needed . Their plumber really didn't know what to do and was on the phone with an expert at his office first, then with the manufacturer for about 45 minutes total. Their plumber left after two visits with my unit still not fixed, a mess on the ground with rubber gloves and celonoid wrappers, debris etc he discarded. He was the only plumber the tankless hot water people recommended at the time as so few people had them where I live.

+ -1 moreThey were able to come out within a day or two. They were in an out quickly and fixed the problem. I did have a bit of an issue for the leaky valve because they came in for a few minutes identified the problem, then left for an hour to get parts, then returned for a few more minutes to fix the problem and then charged me for the full hour and a half. Their shop is not 30 minutes away, so I questioned them on the price, but they did not budge. With that said, overall they do a good job and stand by their work, I have used them before and I will use them again.
Description of Work: I had two service calls for two different things within the month. One was a clogged toilet drain, and the other was a leaky valve to the refrigerator.

+ -1 moreOn the appointed day, only one guy came out and he worked diligently and quickly (at one point I had to help him because he was by himself) and the work was done beautifully. I've used them quite a bit over the years and find they are very good plumbers but not always so great at cleaning up after themselves. But so what? I can clean up -- but I can't do plumbing. These guys are good plumbers but sometimes don't speak very good English. I don't care though because they are always well mannered and efficient.
Description of Work: I had some shady characters install a pedestal sink and faucets in my bathroom and it always leaked. And it was never quite finished with caulking. So I called Henry Gonzalez plumbing and arranged for their guy to come out the following week to fix the problems and finish up the work to install the pedestal sink.

+ 0 moreI did not have an emergency so I had an appointment. They called to reschedule later because they could not make the original appointment. I have used them before this and they charged me less than they said because the job was easier to do than first thought. I like their honesty, value and good work. Oh, they do put on booties over their shoes, too.
Description of Work: Several things - dripping faucets (ended up installing a new one), clog in sink, tighten a connector that leaked a little and move an outdoor hose connection that was difficult to get to.
