Description of Work: Two men,Jon and Eddie,arrived early. The put a designated outlet in my garage for my fridge,which had been running off of an extension cord up till then. I had them check out the wiring to a couple of outlets that had stopped working.They found the problem quickly and repaired it. Also replaced several worn out outlets for me,updating all the outlet boxes. Took a paddle fan with lights apart to see why it would work only when it felt like it. They said it was a blown remote control transmitter on the fan that was built in. Wrote down the part number for me if I wanted to order a new one from the company.Very quick to start and complete job.Cleaned up after themselves.Left everything neat.Very happy with service.Would definitely call Grove's again.

Description of Work: I had requested an estimate for installation of three lights in front of my house and a replacement light on side of house. The person who came for the estimate tried to talk me into a power box with an estimate of nearly $1500.00. I told him over and over I wasn't interested at this time but he wouldn't give up. I had requested a timer to be installed for the new lights and was told I could have a switch or timer but did not write any estimate for this. After the work was done, the installer (who was very considerate, professional and just plain nice) told me I owed $150.00 more for the timer. Nothing was ever mentioned about an extra price for a timer nor was anything written on the estimate. The timer had already been installed but it was so complicated you would have to be an engineer to change the time. You had to go through each day to change the time rather than just a simple change. I did not pay extra for the timer and was never contacted but I don't like to be pressured into getting something I don't want or can't afford at this time.

Description of Work: Installed 2 ceiling fans with switch in new lanai. They were a breath of fresh air from all the previous workers that we had coming to put on the new lanai. They were so professional and FRIENDLY plus they actually cleaned up after they were done!!!! Their price was high to start out but they are willing to negotiate; another plus. I would definetly use them again!

Description of Work: We had problems with several of our electrical outlets and they had repaired all of them 5 months ago. They came back because one of them was not working properly and did not charge anything for it. They come as soon as you call them and are very professional.

Description of Work: I was completely satisfied with Groves electric. One of my biggest pet peeves is people that don't show up on time for appointments. Not only did Chris (Owner) come precisely on time for his appointment for the estimate, his workers Jon and Eddie showed up exactly when scheduled. They were professional and efficient and explained what they were doing and why they had to make some minor changes to the job. They cleaned up after themselves perfectly -- it looked like they had never been there. Their work seemed top notch and everything is working completely to my satisfaction. I would definitely hire them again. The price was a little bit high, but I know that electrical work, in general, is a bit costly, so this is not really much of a complaint.

Description of Work: John and Eddie were complete professionals.Special kudos to John for quickly locating the solution to the electrical problemcausing loss of current. This involved checking the circuitry in the attic and incidentalkly correcting the placemnent of the overhead fan to a stable location. I felt that John and Eddie were concerned about my interests and I would not hesitate to recommend them unreservedly

Description of Work: Received a bid for some various electrical work . I thought that the estimate was a little high and called a second company for an identical estimate . The second company offered to do the same work for about 30% less and I hired them .

Description of Work: Broken ceiling fan light socket, broken dimmer switch, and installed power surge home protector.

Description of Work: Lights would dim greatly when we turned on an appliance. They traced the problem to the wire coming into the house - ultimately, a utility problem. This assessment cost $100, which they outlined up front. When I told them a power surge had knocked out a circuit board in the A/C unit a few weeks prior, they suggested a surge protector which I agreed to. Very professional.
