I called for an estimate, but when we talked about the work to be done it was decided that Chris Groves, the owner, would come out in a couple of days to confirm the information and do the work. Chris was a couple of minutes late; but, he called to confirm he was minutes away. He arrived as promised and did the work for the minimum charge of $100. When we talked on the phone he had said it would be less than $200 and he would work on an hourly basis, with a one hour minimum. He gave me an estimate for one of the next stages of our multi project remodel.

Everything went as well as can be expected. The people were pleasant and knowledgeable, and carried out their tasks within the anticipated time frame.

When I called Groves, Chris said he would be there in approx 1 hour, and gave me the cost of his visit up front. He showed up as promised, found the Bathroom GFI problem and the Bedroom problem very quickly. After repairing the work, he said I had additional time left and asked if anything else needed correcting. The bathroom originally did not have a reset-able GFI, so I asked him to change it, and he did within the time period. We also discussed a whole house surge protector, which he also installed, all within the one hour initial charge. They did not stop the whole time they were here, and I got my hour's worth.

The estimate was accurate and adhered to. The work was done expeditiously and efficiently.

They were so great the first time, I asked them out for the second job. They are without a doubt my first choice. They were quick to respond, had a friendly attitude and gave a detailed explanation of work done.

Chris was very prompt in responding to our request for a quote. He dropped by first thing in the morning before he went to another job and wrote the quote up for us right then and there. The work was performed as required with suggestions given.

Chris and his associate were very nice, efficient and did a good job. He also provided me with detailed estimate on some additional work that I plan to have done in the near future. I feel confident that they will do a good job with those projects as well. I have no problem paying for good, quality service which can be difficult to find. Thanks Chris!

Seamless, start to finish. Prompt, polite, efficient, and neat.

Chris replaced the main electrical box including surge protector. During the early morning on a Sunday, my lights kept going on and off. When we looked at the main box, we saw sparks and called two electricians. The first one felt that the sparking wasn't a problem and could wait until the middle of the week to fix. When I called Chris, he echoed my concern and said he would come over to check it. At 9:00 AM on a Sunday morning, Chris arrived, checked the box,and confirmed that it should be replaced as soon as possible to avoid any serious problems. He got the parts and replaced the box. Since it was a Sunday, his crew was not available, so he did the work himself. I found Chris very professional, knowledgeable and efficient and a really nice guy. His price was comparable with the first quote and he did it on a Sunday. I am very grateful for his concern and conscientiousness. I will definitely use him again and highly recommend him.

The same day I called Chris, he went out of his way to come right over to estimate the job. I liked his honesty and forthrightness immediately. I also liked his price, so we set a date. He and his efficient, polite crew showed up right on time and did a great job in just a few hours. Everything was done according to agreement and we have already let him know that we will hire him again when we have further electrical needs! Chris Groves and his crew are great. Dependable, professional. I'd previously hired them (on a friend's recommendation) to add a couple of receptacles and replace a subpanel. This latest series of visits began with replacing an outdoor light and garbage disposal and adding a surge protector (a few hours work), followed by replacing the main line into the house, meter box and breaker box (a day's work), followed by a week of top-to-bottom rewiring. The prices were good, and Chris offered some breaks, including a percentage discount if I did the whole house, deletion of old knob and tube relics, and free assembling and installation of any new ceiling lights I provided. He spelled it all out with a detailed written estimate in advance. The work went fast, with four guys at a time on the job some days. I felt comfortable leaving the crew in my house while I went to work. They were thoughtful about cleaning up and, added bonus, even threw the ball around for my dogs.

On time. Efficient. Thorough. Knows his job. I have recommended to others. The surge protector he installed his first visit saved appliances, computers and my sanity. He is professional and knows his job and does it with a smile.

I called and spoke to Chris and told him what I needed to be done. He gave me a quote and said he would be at my house within the hour. He and his assistant were on time and acted very professionally. The work was done quickly and my outside lights have been working fine ever since.

I could not have been happier, if only the granite would have been installed the same day.

Chris came out same day I called to give me a detailed written estimate Once I notified Chris that we were ready to move forward, his team was here same day. They are fast, efficient, and quality-conscious. They also do a great job of cleaning up the work site. We got EXACTLY what we wanted and couldn't be happier. We'll continue to use Groves Electric for all of our electrical needs.

We had a dangerous situation with our wiring and electrical panel. We lucked out with this contractor, as he had a job cancel on him at the last minute. We called at 8:00am; they were on-site (with four individuals) by 8:30 am. Spent all day performing the work. We were so pleased with their estimate that we went ahead and had them upgrade several other electrical/safety issues. Our home is much safer as a result. Have not had any issues after the fact that would require a call-out from the contractor.

I had Chris come over to repair a few things at my house ended up doing more extensive work, some of which was safety related. Chris showed up at 6 a.m. for two days with two people and worked all day fixing lots of my challenging electrical issues. Seem to be very honest, efficient and practical. I would definitely recommend him again.

The job went very smoothly and quickly; the power had to be off for only 4 hours. I called the company just to find out whether I had enough power to add a freezer to the utility shed. In evaluating the circuit breakers, the electrician told me that the manufacturer of the box (Federated Pacific) was out of business and found guilty of consumer fraud for concealing that it s a fire hazard. The breakers tend not to shut off automatically when needed. He called the company owner/president (Chris Groves) to advise me about replacing it, but he also gave me time to confirm this information independently. Chris explained about replacing it, along with other wiring, and gave an estimate including Angie's List discount. He called another worker to do the job that same day. All three were very professional. And they even labeled the new circuits for me and cleaned up all debris.

I have already recommended them to my friends and wouldn't consider having any other electricians in. The guys were punctual, the job was completed thoroughly, quickly, on time, and at the price quoted. They cleaned everything up beautifully each day before they left. Overall absolutely terrific - the team was wonderful, very very pleasant fellows and all were professionals. I e-mailed Chris about my problems and he e-mailed back within 12 hours. He was able to come the same day I called for an appointment. He brought another electrician with him (Justin), because of the expected complexity of my problems. They went to work immediately and began to troubleshoot the multiple electrical problems in my home. He even tried to troubleshoot a defective phone connection - that quit functioning while he was there (not his fault at all though). Justin and Chris explained everything as they went - they went throughout the entire house checking outlets, switches and circuits - making sure that everything was to my satisfaction before they left. They were very professional and had the electrical system working without complications when they left 3 hours later! This house had a series of electrical issues that were supposedly corrected when we bought this house two years ago - obviously they were not fixed properly-they are now!! Hard-working and professional!

The job went very well. Chris Groves was at my house within two hours of my first call. This time was my choice; I met him at the house during my lunch break. He gave me an estimate for both jobs and installed the surge protector. He installed the outdoor outlet before I got home from work the next day. He and his crew were courteous and professional. Did a good job of cleaning up after themselves in the backyard. I used the coupon posted on his Angie's List site and got 10% off the bill since this was my first job with him.

Called company. Stated they could be to home within the hour. Arrived at my home with in time frame. Was very cooperative and worked with me. Listened to suggestion, when he presented things that could be causing the problem. Successfully found and corrected problem.
