I use Groves Electric all the time. I discovered them several years ago when my regular electrician moved to Tennessee. Chris (and his crew) have always been responsive, punctual, and professional. There have been times I've called on the spur of the moment because something broke, and he has always been able to send someone that day. In the event I made an appointment, the men on his crew are friendly, punctual, and professional. I have had a half dozen different projects completed by Groves Electric (kitchen remodel, attic light switch, emergency outside socket melted, etc.) and have always been happy with their price and service.

Everything went as planned. He had the parts with him to do both upgrades.

Believe the positive things written about this company. I chose this company from the favorable recommendations i read on this site. An appointment was set for a week in advance and I was told the electrician would arrive between 7:30 and 8:00am. I forgot to confirm the day prior but received a call about 7:40am the day of the appointment and was told they would be arrive just past 8am. It took about 20 minutes to go through the list of changes that needed to be made and a very detailed quote was written up. I agreed on the price and the work began. My wife was home while the work was done and she had nothing but great things to say about the two men who completed the work. The electricians were very friendly and anything not on the quote was clearly explained prior to any additional work being done. They worked efficiently and kept my wife informed of the important stages of their work as they went along. They took care to cover household items and move some out of the way to make sure no debris fell on anything. It took less time than expected for them to complete the work, the work was completed just as discussed, everything put back in its place and not speck of debris was left where they worked. Timeliness, good customer service, great cleanup and the job was done right. I highly recommend this company.

The service was excellent. Chris Groves came to inspect the job and personally understand my needs. His men came on the appointed day and time. They were efficient, professional, and courteous, and the bill for services was detailed and accurate. I have used Groves Electrical several times over the last 5 years for household electrical repair (circuit problems, rewiring, etc.). They are outstanding - reliable, professional, and reasonably priced. I would not use anyone else for electrical work.

Absolutely thrilled with their service!! I live in Holiday; Groves is in Tampa; needless to say that is a long drive. I called them in desperation. For three weeks various areas of my house would randomly lose power, and magically about two days or a week later they would come back on. The fear and frustration of this was nerve-racking! I thought either I had ghosts, or more likely, that my inside wiring was faulty. With the cold weather snaps we've been having I was very worried about losing all power, or having a fire start. Friends and neighbors said it may be rodents chewing on the wiring, or a short somewhere. Progress Energy was no help, even though I have the inside wire maintenance service. After searching Angie's List, I felt Groves had the best record and description of services if I did indeed need an entire home re-wire. John and Eddie came out the very next day after I called and right on time. They were very polite and professional and went right to work on troubleshooting. They had it fixed within 15 minutes. Evidently my spaceheater had overloaded the breaker (my living room and bedroom are on the same 15 amp breaker) and blew it completely. I have never had a breaker burn out ever, so it never even occurred to me that this was even a possibility. After that, I mentioned several other electrical issues that had been troubling me and they quickly resolved each one that I asked to be done and gave me an estimate for future work that would require a little more time and money. I got a wonderful education that day! I asked questions and they were happy to answer each one so that I had a better understanding of how my home is wired, how breakers work and how wattage use loads it up, and other basics I have never understood or had anyone teach me. I highly recommend Grove's to anyone considering an electrician. The peace of mind they have given me is worth much more than the money I paid. THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

Everything went wonderfuly. They were great to work with.

I called Chris and he sent Jon and eddie out to give us an estimate, I told him I was ready to move and they were ready that day to start work. I don't think they expected to take 4 days to finish the job but they were patient and worked with such professionalism. I felt very comfortable with them in the house and even left them their alone on several occasions with no problems. Chris came by once to check on things, I think he had to see the mess to believe it! I am very happy with the job and feel safe knowing the wires are now properly placed and my house is no longer at risk to catch fire!

Grove Electric did an excellent job! I can't recommend them highly enough!

On time, professional, and good at what they do! Very impressed!

But they went beyond this and assisted refrigerator delivery men in pulling out a cabinet from the wall to fit the new refrigerator and then re-installed the cabinet as I was about to have a breakdown since the new refrigerator did not fit, and I was 4 months pregnant. They are true professionals always but their service to customers always goes beyond the 'required duties'.

Overall very good service by Jon & Eddie. Would definitely recommend however pricing is a little high but fair,and really didn't need two people on the job. They do great work that's what counts.

They completed the whole job in 2 days. They also made sure to only do work that was needed-for example, if plugs were OK, they did not replace them. Chris Groves communicated with me promptly and as needed. I already have another job in mind in the kitchen to redo the dropped ceiling and will definitely call Groves for that.

On this job, Jon and Eddie came out instead of Chris. I had worked with these guys before and they do great work and are very professional. Given all the work, they were at my home most of the day. All work was performed as requested. What more can I say.

I gave Chris a call in the a.m. and he worked me into his schedule the same day (given it was a very, very quick job). Chris, Jon and Eddie showed up on time and completed the work as expected. As always, the Groves team was very professional. I would most definitely recommend Groves Electric.

They tapped off a line and put a new electric box near the pool pump to handle the pool heater. They came in and did the work what was asked of them and also gave me a quote on another item we were looking for, but we did not pursue. He came in and measured from the main outlet to make sure we had enough capacity to put the box where we wanted. They ran the cable and put up the box.

Chris and his two associates were very professional. Chris honored an estimate he gave me for the breaker replacement a couple of months earlier, even though I gave him an opportunity to recalculate his costs. The work on the light switch panel and family room was done quickly and at a reasonable cost. The crew did everything expected of them, and they even solved a problem with some outside lights at no extra charge. They cleaned up very well before leaving.

Wonderful. they showed up on time, were very neat and clean, knowledgeable, kind and pleasant. My house is challenging to work on due to VERY sturdy construction, but they perservered and did a great job We are very pleased. I would definitely recomend them!

Chris Groves responded within an hour to my call and we met the next day to review my long list of electrical needs. He gave me a detailed proposal and date for all to be accomplished. Because my dining chandelier was inoperable, he fixed it right then and there so that I would have use of it immediately and would not have to wait for the appointed date for the other work to be done - and for this I was very grateful! He and his team arrived exactly as scheduled and completed all the work in a much shorter amount of time than I would have dreamed. They were extremely professional and thorough with their work. Chris takes great care to make sure that all is done well and to the satisfaction of his customer. I am rejoicing that I have finally found a competent and caring electrician and enthusiastically recommend Groves electric!

They were absolutely wonderful. The person who came out, Chris is the owner. He sent out two of his journeymen to do the work. They did a great job. One of the guys even used a vacuum cleaner as he went along. They worked rapidly, but it took them hours to do this work. It was just amazing. I would definitely hire them again.

They came out to look at it and said the job was too big for them.

Chris came out to diagnose and repair a whole-house generator, promising that if he couldn't fix it, the visit was free. He and his guys spent about 90 min. identifying the problem and it turned out it will need some more specialized skills to fix. True to his word, he did the work gratis and cleaned everything up. A professional, friendly, and knowledgeable bunch.

The work that was done to date has been nothing shy of fantastic. But it's not just the work, timeliness, and attention to detail but what happened that wasn't part of the job description. While they were finishing up work, a pipe burst in the condo (thought NO fault of them) and they went above and beyond - spending extra time at no cost to help cut and haul out carpet from the bedroom and clearning out standing water to help mitigate any damages to the floors and drywall. This kind of effort to go the extra mile with something that wasn't their responsibility at all speaks volumes about their company in general and the kind of folks that do the work. Many thanks!!!

Verified there was no overloaded breaker. Found probable bad breaker. Gave price to replace all breakers in box, as they are known to be faulty (which I had heard before from another source). Had to make a trip to the Home Depot for a breaker that would work in the space of my old one. Cleaned up.

Called on Friday, arrived on time Saturday to do all work. Had prior friend try to install new fan, wobbled a lot when he did work so had to take down, very heavy good fan (Tommy Bahama), great job installing new fan, no wobble, looks great. No power cord to fan, everything above ceiling. Hall light and closet light done with no problems, they indicated that the box the power came from in ceiling for hall light and new fan was not properly affixed to ceiling so redid that. Have to supply your own fans, lights, but left worker in house alone while we got them and had no problems. Price higher than anticipated, took a while to get new fan electrical setup done and install fan but done very professionally. Only issue was new fans had short cords and they did not install extensions themselves, but we had to buy extenions for the fan cords later and install ourselves. Otherwise would have given A rating.
