Groutworks

We had be contemplating pulling up all the floor tile as we were having so many issues with the grout - it was flaking in places, non-existent in others and simply dingy looking. Replacement of the floor tile would have cost us a minimum of $5,000. On top of that, the main walk-in shower looked horrible with the grout actually falling out. This would have been another $4,000 to $5,000 to have it fully re-tiled. All this was caused by poor workmanship during the construction of our condo. Fortunately, as we were looking at tile contractors, we found Randy Kane, with Groutworks, at a local home show. After talking to him, we decided to have him come out and take a look. After he examined our issues, he advised us that while he could not fix all of the "workmanship" issues (like poorly laid floor tile), he certainly could redo the and re-seal the grout on the floors and in the shower; thus extending the life of the tile several more years. And the cost would be a fraction of the cost of replacing everything. While we were somewhat skeptical, we decided to give it a try. All I can say is WOW! The floor and shower never looked this good - even on our first day of ownership! My wife and I were simply thrilled with the Groutwork's team that responded - three (3) people! They were extremely professional, neat and tidy and truly knew what they were doing. They worked the entire day on our issues. We have absolutely no complaints and only praise for the team and Groutworks!

Last year, Groutworks performed a complete, house-wide renovation of our tile and did an outstanding job. Steve, the crew chief, returned this year for a smaller, unrelated job. Same great service, exceptional quality. If you want competent, reliable, quality work from a company that stands behind its services, then Groutworks is the only call you need to make.

This company saved us tons of money and brought our old tile to life!! It looks absolutely new. The story: We bought the house in Feb 2014. Nearly every room is filled with THE SAME 18 1/2" Italian tile. There was so much of it, and it was ten years old , ugly, dirty, and we struggled with what to do with it. We thought we would replace it all, but the budget wouldn't allow all of it to be torn out. I thought we bought the wrong house. I personally cleaned the grout with and without 'natural' products. Chlorine helped, especially in the shower. Groutworks owner came out and estimated the project. I asked her if I was making a mistake adding a wood floor to the main living area and staircase. She agreed the tile should be replaced in those areas. She assured us we would love the remaining tile after the process Groutworks applied. She was so right on both counts! The "new" Groutworks tile is bright and clean and fresh. We saved boatloads of cash on keeping it and using Groutworks to refinish the grout. And the wood floors are amazing as well. We were sold by her knowledge and professionalism. Her crew worked hard and they were in and out in a few hours. You should be 'sold' by this review. My husband and I are both amazed by the change to the grout and tiles. I will definitely use Groutworks if needed again!

John was on time, and went right to work cleaning the tile and the soiled grout in our kitchen and laundry room. The tile was laid 6 years ago, and the grout lines were starting to show some wear-and-tear that could no longer be cleaned with hydrogen peroxide. After the cleaning was completed, he re-sealed the grout with a stain/sealer. The floor looks brand new!

They had done a great job on our bathroom, on cleaning the stains, working on our tiles and stuff like that. They were great.

Original estimated did not include all work requested. Another estimate as done and another appointment made for the completion of the work about a month later. Crews were a little late arriving. They were very polite and respectful towards me. They were suppose to be trained professionals however based on the quality of their work this is NOT the case. No one was licensed to perform work requested. Tile floors in the kitchen,dining, and hallways look like 2 year olds did the work. The grout lines are inconsistent, some fat others are normal size. I also have chipped tiles that i never had before. Luckly black nail polish has corrected this issue. Please do not let them touch your tile floors. The showers and tub look fantastic. It's like ttwo different groups of people showed up to work and it's obvious that it's not the award winning workers!!!!! The owner is not licensed in either Pinellas or Pasco county nor are they working under a general contractor license. Inaccurate statement on Angie's list about licensing.

Steve was prompt, professional, and friendly. He did a wonderful job removing the old caulk and grout that had become discolored. The tub/shower enclosure now looks brand new.

The grout looks as good today as the day it went in. The floors shine and the shower looks new. The tech, Cody, was wonderful. He explained every step and made sure that I was pleased with the finished product. He gave me instruction as to how to keep it lookiing good and made sure I knew when it would be cured and able to use again. He really seemed to care about pleasing the customer and was very polite and cleaned up everything when he was done.

Office communications, free estimate and evaluation all went very well. All staff are professional and courteous to work with, as well as informative to the needs of my tile. I am very pleased with the results and have already had them back to evaluate additional tile work clean up in my older home. Highly recommend their services when your desire is to give new life to old tile areas versus tear out and install new.

This company is awesome! Contracted to stain grout lines for entire floor and had no idea how much prep was required to complete job. They acid-cleaned the floors (by hand), stained the grout lines, and moved any furniture needed. The workers were great and truly seemed to take a lot of pride in their work which is awesome. Better yet, nothing was damaged or messed up during the course of the project. When finished, my floor looked completely different and new. I had no idea what a difference this would make as I actually like the tile floor now. Really hard to explain the before and after unless you go thru this - it is that good. Contact these guys if you have any issues with your tile floor!

Arrived on time and started working, did a thorough and excellent job removing old grout and caulk. And did an excellent job redoing it, thoroughly satisfied.

Cody arrived right at nine. Tim was a little later. They both did a great job! My floors look amazing! They look brand new! Tim told me that they could "blend" the grout to make my floors look like one uniform piece and it looks terrific!! I would definitely use them again. They moved all the furniture for me and left me some extra grout color just in case. They cleaned up after themselves and protected all the appliances while they cleaned. Great job! And my husband is pleased because I no longer want to rip up the floors!!

We had them back twice, but they were very good about it each time. We were happy in the end, but it took three shots to get it. They were very service oriented and came right back when we questioned them and fixed it in the end. The price was very reasonable, better than most we called. They did the job very well.

I helped my friend to find Groutworks, and here is what she said: Everything went very well. They came out and gave us an estimate, and a couple of months later we finally called to schedule the cleaning. One person came out and was very professional and polite. This young man worked for about six hours on his hands and knees cleaning every bit of our tile and grout by hand. Our kitchen is fairly large, and this was definitely some hard work. By the time he had finished our twenty year old tile and grout looked brand new. It was a dramatic improvement, and the price, under $300 was very reasonable consider how long this took and how much hard work it was. I would recommend Groutworks highly.

The 1st serviceman came a little late, but called and I was concerned that the truck did not have any reference to the company name. However the man did have a company shirt on. Being a lady alone I was not at ease. However my concerns faded as time past. I called and suggested magnetized signs. At first the job seemed perfect and I was very pleased but after a month the stain in the shower was coming back. I called back and was reassured everything will be looked at and fixed to my satisfication. They sent out another technician and ground down the spots around the area and restained. I am extremely satified with this response and job is beautiful.

We had a fantastic experience with this company. The response time was very quick and time to completion was within 5 days. Both our kitchen and shower look brand new and wish we would have done this sooner. Overall, fantastic experience and results. Would absolutely reuse/recommend this company. The crew that came was professional, accommodating and very clean.

It went well. The gentleman who cleaned the grout did an outstanding job at a very good price. I was very happy with the service.

Estimate was on target, discounted for using Angie's List, owner who was professional and punctual. Crew was punctual and very professional. Work made the floors look as good as new, including 30 year bathroom floor tile that we thought needed replacement. The custom-color staining added the finishing touch to the grout, which was a tedious process for the workers who had to stain every grout line throughout the apartment. Now the grout is consistently one color -- any color you choose! We would not hesitate using this company again. Definitely a cut above what you usually see in the trades! h

They did a fine job regrouting both sites.; I just felt like someone should have followed up from the company to ask if we were pleased with the service. I may be very picky but it's now Oct and grout looks like it did prior to service There were a couple grout lines, that were not stained appropiately to match the otherss. I was informed they would arrive between 8-8:30 and did not get there until 9,.Not a big deal, but would be nice to have a better time frame as I was about to leave for work and they arived.

The employee was entirely professional, he arrived when we were told he would and finished the whole job in 1 day, with only a 20 minute lunch break. He was very polite and personable.

Work was done and finished job looks great. Would use then again
