Description of Work: My wife and I contacted Groutworks to get a quote for cleaning our tile flooring and to potentially change the color of our grout. A man named Randy from Groutworks stopped by our house to measure and prepare the quote. He met with my father-in-law while I was at work, and by all accounts he was very kind and professional. While he was at my house, he colored an area of grout with different colors so that we could more easily make a decision on grout colors. What was not explained to my father-in-law was that this was permanent and it was done directly in the middle of my kitchen (it can colored over, but not removed at this point). When I spoke with Randy on the phone that same evening regarding the quote and the coloring, he said he would come out the next day to remove it and we could discuss different options for the pricing. I had explained to him that the quote was higher than I expected but that I was still interested in having them do the work. I just wanted to discuss options, such as the price if we removed the furniture. Unfortunately, that is where our interaction stopped - he never showed up the next day and he has never called or followed up. The quote from groutworks was $.90 p/ sq ft (about ~$2,100 for my floor) for the cleaning alone, plus another ~1,000 to seal and color the grout. Although it was not unreasonably high, after comparing with other companies we found that they were substantially higher than other companies in the area. They may very well do great work and might be worth the price, but I cant say and with the price they quoted we would have exceptional service. What I was left with instead was an obvious color mismatch in the middle of my kitchen and a no show. We cant recommend.

Description of Work: Re-grouted shower stall and two tile floors. At first they cleaned and sealed bathroom floor as it was discolored. However, when finished, it did not look any better than it did before. I had paid for this but was not happy. I agreed to have them put new grout down and seal it and had to pay for a completely new job. It does look great now. I did not feel I should have been charged for the initial work which was unsatisfactory. That is the reason I felt the price was high.

Description of Work: Groutworks was hired to remove clean, stain the grout, and seal the kitchen and hallway tile which was damaged during a water leak. Debbie came to view the damage, measure the area and let us know what could be done. Her estimate was very reasonable. Steven did a great job and was very professional. They each arrived when promised. We would use them again if the need arises.

Description of Work: They cleaned the tile and grout in my shower. It looks much better and has stayed nice.

Description of Work: Stained the grout in my kitchen, dining room, livingroom, hallway and bathroom. They will be coming back after the holidays to stain the grout in my family room. They did a GREAT job. I highly recommend their service.

Description of Work: The team from Groutworks came out to refinish tile floors in our dining room. They were in bad shape as the previous owners had used an inferior 'clean and polish' type of floor cleaner for approximately 15 years. It was a bit of a bumpy start as the tiles were a type of saltillo tile instead of ceramic, as we thought. Brad and his team (Manny and Lloyd) worked with us to find a great and safe floor stripper for this type of tile, and then put a beautiful new finish on. We are delighted with the finished product. They also did some caulk work in our bathroom, also beautifully done. Thanks Groutworks!

Description of Work: Our walk-in shower had lovely tile, but the grout had become disgusting over the years, with some black mold stains and some grout missing. In our other bathroom, there was some grout missing, and there was a large gap between the tub and the tile above it. The bathroom floor also needed work. Groutworks cleaned, re-grouted, and caulked as necessary, and even replaced the bottom row of tile around the tub. The bathroom and shower tile all look beautiful now. The cost was exactly as quoted. I was concerned that they might discover a costly problem when they removed the old row of tile around the bathtub, but they found no issues that would affect the cost. We were very pleased with Groutworks and highly recommend them.

Description of Work: HAD CONTACTED GROUTWORKS FOR AN ESTIMATE TO ACID WASH AND REINSTALL GROUT IN A WALK-IN SHOWER STALL. HOWEVER, AFTER FURTHER INSPECTION, FOUND ALL TILES NEEDED REMOVED/REPLACED. MAJOR RENOVATION NEEDED PRIOR TO REINSTALLING TILE.
