Groutworks

Mike called me back quickly that day and came and gave me an estimate the next day. The estimate sounded pretty fair as we had never had this work done before and really didn't have a clue. The guys were here 3 days prepping the area, precleaning, re-grouting, washing 2 times by hand, staining the grout another color than the original. They used a toothbrush to re-stain. Arthur was here 2 days by himself for 8 hour days and Nelson was here for an 8 hour day also. They were exactly on time each day and cleaned up thoroughly. It was unfortunately cold all 3 days. Mike came each day to check on the progress and make sure all was well. We had a few bumps along the way due to the condition of the tile, I think it was a bit worse than originally thought, but they did what they committed to do and did not charge us more. We were so pleased we have an estimate from them to do our interior as well which is 3 times as much tile.

We liked Michael, but decided we did not want to spend this much money to get tiles cleaned. Went with another company who did all of our tile, two couches and all carpets for less than the price of cleaning the tile. All of the tile/grout cleaners have different gimmicks. At the end of the day, I did not care how the floor was cleaned. I just wanted it cleaned for a lower cost without any fancy color sealers (they do come off if you pressure wash).

Outstanding. This is really worth having done to your floors, and this is the company to do it. Art Sherwood, the man who actually did the work, is amazing in his attention to detail, his eye for quality and aesthetics, his craftsmanship, and the pride he takes in his work. It's really rare these days to find craftspeople who care about their work like this. These floors look like new and will be so much easier to care for now, thanks to Art's work and recommendations for maintenance.

Michael came by for a free estimate as promised. I scheduled the work and their employee showed up on time. I was surprised as only one worker came. I was told it would take most of the day and it did. The job went fairly well as Michael told me the newer shower (6 years old) would come out the best, and it did. It looks new again. The older showers (20 years plus) looked better than before but I did ask the worker to clean them again, which he did. The tile repair job did not look good and the worker tried the best he could.

They were out within an hour of my initial call. The gentleman was prompt and clean. Great clean up. He took time to educated me on things I could do so I wouldn't have this problem in the future. He also gave me bids on two other jobs I was needing done which they will coming back to do.

Very good work. They showed me the old grout they dug out, cleaned all walls and the floor and put a good polish on and sealed the walls and floor with a sealer I provided.

Tim and the employees he sent to our home were courteous and professional and arrived on time. My wife and I were very happy with both the work performed and the cost. I would highly recommend this company to others.

Excellent service. They were timely in providing an estimate and in performing the work. We are very pleased with their service.

We found the work to be satisfactory. From the initial phone call to the time they performed the work, they did what they said they would do.

Representative arrived at the appointed date on time and finished the work in approximately six hours. I subsequently discovered a small section wherein the grout looked dark grey rather than the white color everywhere else. The representative returned within a few days after my call and attended to the problem promptly.

Grout Cleaning is their main expertise and they do an excellent job at that. Cleaning and polishing marble might not be their speciality. They Polished the marble walls very good until they got to the last 5 inches of wall as the walls met the shower floor. This area was not done as good as I would have liked as it was left with a rough finish instead of a shiny smooth feel to it. Cleaning and Polishing Marble is alot tougher than working with normal tiles and is an art in my opinion. As a last comment - Angies list does not seem to have the area of Tile cleaning / polishing covered well at all as far as finding vendors. Finding companies that work with tile installation or Grout coloring is however covered very well.

The price was fair and the job was very well done. In addition to the high quality of the workmaship, Jack was very professional and courteous, leaving all work areas clean after the job was completed. The company was a bit backed up and I did have to wait 3 weeks for the home visit to get the written estimate, and then another 3 weeks for the work to be done, however, it was worth the wait. I strongly recommend this company.

Groutworks is a wonderful company and are very professional. They did a great job in regouting and cleaning the tiles in my two bathrooms.

Mike and Tony arrived on time and got right to work. This type of cleaning is done manually, no machinery used. This job, about 700 sq. ft., took them from 9AM to 5PM to accomplish. They did an excellent job. The tile and grout look great. Tim came during the day and did the injection on the loose tiles. The tile cleaning and grout stain took longer than expected, and we had to reschedule the shower cleaning and re-grout. The reschedule is the only problem I had with Groutworks. They don't usually answer the phone, and you have to leave a message and since I work during the day, they would leave me a message, I would call back etc. Very cumbersome. Jack showed up on time and did a super job. This shower is ceramic tile approx 3ft X 4ft. It was in really bad shape. Jack did a wonderful job, and the shower looks great. I think the price for all three jobs was reasonable considering the amount of time spent on the projects and the quality of work performed.

This was a very good experience all around. Everyone was very polite, there was very good communication regarding scheduling, and the bathroom looks great. The caulk around the shower floor wasn't drying properly so they sent someone out promptly to redo it, and it dried and looks perfect. I would definitely recommend them and will call on them again in the future.

After choosing Groutworks from Angie's list, I called for an estimate. It was a week before Tim, the owner, could come for the estimate which was 2/14/06. He was pleasant, informative and on time. I decided to use him. I had to wait one month for the repair to be done; I had the work done on 3/14/06. Jack was my technician, and he was friendly, efficient, very neat and on time. It is yet to be seen if this work does the trick for my leak, but at this point, I feel Groutworks did a good job, and I would definitely use them again and recommend them.

HE CAME BY ON NOV 8 AND MEASURED THE AREA. HE TOLD ME HE WOULD FAX AN ESTIMATE WITHIN FOUR TO FIVE DAYS. ON NOV 22, HAVING NOT YET RECEIVED THE ESTIMATE, I CALLED HIS OFFICE AND LEFT A MESSAGE WITH OUR FAX NUMBER. I CALLED AGAIN ON DEC 7 AND SPOKE WITH SUE WHO SAID SHE WOULD GET A MESSAGE TO HIM AND CALL US BACK. SHE DID NOT DO SO. ON DEC 14 I AGAIN LEFT A MESSAGE ON HIS MACHINE AND ASKED HIM TO EITHER GIVE US THE ESTIMATE, OR IF HE WOULD PREFER NOT DOING THE JOB, PLEASE TELL US SO WE CAN MOVE ON. ON JAN 4 I LEFT THE SAME MESSAGE AGAIN.

GOOD WORK. GOOD ADVICE AS WELL ABOUT A LEAK THAT I WAS HAVING.

THEY MADE THE GROUT THE SAME COLOR AS THE TILE. THEY DID A LOT OF HARD WORK.

WHEN MR. DUNNE COMPLETED THE WORK, IT LOOKED LIKE HE INSTALLED A NEW MASTER BATH SHOWER. THE WORK WAS SUPERB. HE WAS PLEASANT, VERY PROFESSIONAL AND OBVIOUSLY TOOK PRIDE IN HIS WORK. THE JOB WAS WELL WORTH THE MONEY.
