Groutworks

Groutworks We had a couple companies give us bids. With Groutworks, we felt the easiest, and most comfortable with them. The technician that came out and did the work was excellent. He did a wonderful job, very thorough, and we were very pleased with him.

The guy was nice. The price seemed to be fair. I might use them.

Got an estimate fro minimum charge of 150. I thought a bit hight but the other company I called had the same minimum. Tech was onsight about 90 minutes,

I was very happy with my experience with this company. From start to finish, everyone I spoke to was courteous, professional and thorough. They really care about the customers satisfaction.

He has fantastic workmanship and did a beautiful job. If I could give him A+'s I would.

Steve arrived on time. He removed all the old grout and treated the interior with something to inhibit the mildew from returning from the inside out. He regrouted all of the surround, including up the walls and also found a couple of tiny holes in the grout that could, eventually lead to problems. He completely cleaned the floor of the tub. One might think the tub and wall tiles had just been installed. The job took about 3 1/2 hours to complete. After a couple of days I realized there was one tiny spot on the otherwise pristine shower floor. I called, and within 24 hours Steve was back and made the repair. I am very pleased with their work and have already recommended Groutworks to others who want to get their tile floors/grout cleaned.

The two young men who performed the work were extremely courteous, punctual, conscientious, and meticulous. All the furniture and area rugs were moved and subsequently replaced to their original spots with great care. When they were done, the tile and grout had never been so clean in years. I am only sorry I didn't do the job sooner. I was thinking of replacing my old tile floor, but it looks better than ever now.

This company did a good job on my tile baths and floors in Nov. 2009. I wanted to clean additional rooms and recolor my grout so I called Groutworks again. The same people came out and they were polite, on time, and cleaned up after themselves. They are not intrusive. My tile looked like new.

Very nice people from the start. Scheduled the estimator and then workmen to meet my convenience. They did a very good job and cleaned up before they left.

Just minutes before 8 one of the techs showed up, took a quick inventory of the work to be done and began moving furniture and the work on cleaning the tile and grout lines, with the understanding that the second tech would arrive about 10 am. The difference was immediately evident, as was the fact that the whole process was very labor intensive. My only concern was that the tech was picking up quite a bit of dirt with the cleaning, yet wasn't changing the rinse water, and rinsing the just cleaned floor and grout lines with that dirty water. At one point I made my concern known and the tech replied that changing the water wasn't necessary and changing the water would prevent him from completing the job today. Not really, because I myself changed that rinse water several times when the tech was otherwise busy doing some other part of the job, taking no longer than a couple minutes to dump the dirty water and refill the bucket with fresh clean rinse water. I'd also suggest a bit more diligence in handling upholstered and hardwood furniture with the gloved hands just out of that strong cleaning solution. I had no apparent damage but that was an additional concern. Once the second man arrived he began the staining process and very closely matched the original grout colors, applying the stainer/sealant with a toothbrush. They applied 2 coats of that stainer sealant, and then hand washed and dried the entire floor again after the sealant had dried. Very labor intensive work but the end results were amazing...like brand new tiled floors with a fresh gloss and clean grout lines. Well worth the cost for the days work. All furniture and rugs were replaced and a final check made to ensure our satisfaction.

Received estimate from Mike - price was in the middle of 2 other estimates I received. Went with them because of Angie's list feedback. Sue followed up from Groutworks office and we set the appointment. Lyle and Steve did a great job, the only thing that would have made it a perfect experience was if they were both scheduled for the entire day so they could finish 8 hr. job (one was sent out to give an estimate elsewhere - not their fault. Also, it was a very big job). They did everything they could to minimize inconvenience of having to come back. They stayed later than usual and completed the entire upstairs living area before leaving - much appreciated! Lyle rearranged his schedule & came back 2 days later and finished the work on lower level. Excellent job, nice, professional staff and they did a great job of cleaning up afterwards. They take pride in their work! This is the first company I hired from Angie's list and I will ONLY use companies from this list from now on!

Arrived on time to provide the estimate and for the work. I had no idea how labor intensive this would be. We had two men on site for two days. They were meticulous in the removal of the tiles, removal of the mastic, and tile replacement. They covered most of the surfaces to minimize the dust and cleaned as they went along. The team scrubbed the grout lines thoroughly and carefully sealed them with a tinted sealer that insured that they did not miss any areas. They far exceeded our expectations.

They were very punctual, arrived on time. Employees were very polite and took time to explain what they were going to do. They also took care to protect our appliances from the solution they used to scrub the grout before they applied the new color/sealant. When the time came to color the grout, they brought out several samples and even mixed some together trying to get a color as close to the color of the tile, which is what we wanted. They left us plenty of spare colorant/sealant to use for touch-ups in the future. The tiles they replaced look like they were there originally. Very well done from start to finish. We also received a 10% discount.

The shower looks brand new, just like the before and after photos on their website. I just wish we had done this sooner!

The tech arrived on time. He was very neat and tidy and worked non-stop for almost 7 hours. He cleaned the fine white dust from the major surfaces in the bathroom. The shower walls and floor looked new. We discussed future maintenance and he answered my questions regarding sealing the grout. Sealing cannot be done at the same time since the grout must dry (cure) completely. We intend to seal the grout ourselves. Upon asking I was told it would be best if the shower was not used the morning of the work and not used for 2-3 days following the work. We are very pleased with the results.

This company was very accommodating to my schedule. When I first called, I explained that I had certain days off and they were able to schedule the estimate that day so the work could be done on my day off. They came on time and cleaned all the tile and grout. They re-grouted an area around the tub in the bathroom that was badly stained and damaged. They re-stained and sealed all the grout in the bathroom, kitchen, family room, and hallway. It looked like a new floor after they were done. The workers were prompt, polite, and professional. I had received a mailing offering 10% off service and though I couldn't find it at the time of the estimate they gave me the discount. I would recommend them to anyone.

The project was scheduled and completed without any problems or worries.

They were very responsive to my call for a quote, then did the work soon after that. I can see why they are rated highly here, they did excellent work. I had guests soon after and didn't say anything to them about having had that done, and they commented to me how beautiful the floor was! I plan to have them back to do my tub/shower area and 2nd bathroom - if you want a great improvement but can't do a remodel, this is the way to go!

I had lived with stained grout for sometime. My home is 5 years old. As I found out, the homebuilder had never sealed the grout! I had tried nearly everything on the market to restore it, but nothing worked. I called Groutworks for an estimate and they were able to get someone out that same day. They arrived exactly when they said they would and carefully helped me pick out grout colors. The actual work was performed the next day. My floors look brand new! What a fantastic job! Talk about bang for the buck--this was the best value I've ever received from a contractor.

They did a very good job for us. They were very punctual and did a great job on the grouting. They came out and did an estimate and were right on. They did a great job at cleaning up.

They were responsive when we called, they set up an appointment for an estimate, very promptly did the work and did an excellent job. The last worker cleaned up, checking throughout the house for places where the sealant may have been on the tile and cleaned up perfectly. We used Groutworks once before, years ago and will use them again.

After contacting Groutworks, Mike Dagley was on time and very professional. The estimate was fair and an appointment was made for the following Wednesday to clean the tile and grout. Sue (from Groutworks) called before that day to let us know there was an earlier appointment that had just opened up and were we interested, the answer was yes. Art and Steve arrived on time and proceeded to clean, stain and seal the floors and kitchen counters. This was done in a courteous, quiet and professional manner. In one room there were 3 complete and full aquariums which had to be moved. Art and Steve handled them with special care and replaced the aquariums in exactly the same position when the work was complete. Art and Steve were sure to discuss the color of the stain before doing the floors and showed us the color on the grout BEFORE doing the job to ensure the color choice was correct. Once they were done the workspaces were left neat and tidy. Groutworks followed up with a nice letter and we couldn't be happier with the work provided.
