I hate to leave negative feedback, but when the provider failed to issue the refund he took for services he did not perform, I realized I needed to warn other about this. Josh gave me a fast and reasonable quote to move me from an apartment to a house on Saturday 6/1 at 8am. He charged a $50 deposit to my credit card. Then, the night before the move, he called advising me that he needed to reschedule from 8am to 12:30pm, which was OK. The morning of the move, Scott called to inform me that the battery of his truck died and was asking me if he could reschedule the move to tomorrow (Sunday) at 8am. I said, "It doesn't sound like you're giving me much of a choice. I'm not prepared to spend another night here, I am all packed up ready to go." He insisted that it couldn't be today. I ended up cancelling the move with them and hiring another provider. Josh was great on the front end of the transaction, except they failed to show up for the move. A dead battery is something you can get replaced in 2 hours. Or, he could have rented a U-Haul and gotten the job done for me, instead of leaving me stranded all packed up. I tried calling the main office repeatedly, trying all extensions, but nobody answered to help. I ended up emailing Josh letting him know what happened with Scott and kindly requesting a refund on the $50 deposit. Josh was very professional in his response, but I definitely can't say the same thing about Scott. Josh apologized profusely and said he would issue the refund on Wednesday, 6/5. Two weeks have passed and still no refund. I had to dispute the charge via my credit card. I don't know if they were overbooked that day and decided to outsource their work overflow, but I encourage Golden Movers to be straightforward with their clients. If you're booked, you're booked. If the battery breaks down, make sure all your employees or independent contractors know the proper way to handle a situation like that: get the battery fixed and let the person know you're running late -or- rent a U-Haul to move the person. But, leaving someone stranded and then not issuing a refund on the deposit you took when you said you would is not good. If Josh would have issued the refund when he promised, I wouldn't have written this review because I understand how sometimes things just "go wrong". Two instances, however, where these folks are not keeping their word merits warning others. I personally cannot trust these folks.

Service was excellent. I worked with Josh who provided an estimate very quickly. The cost was right in the middle of the other quotes that I received, however the car was transported inside the moving truck as apposed to outside so it was a very good deal. The movers who picked up the car were very professional and delivered the car on time in perfect condition. I would highly recommend their moving services.

They arrived at the apartment on the next day. Due to the fact that the load was lighter, it cost a little less. We were very happy with these guys!

Excellent. One of the owners was involved and managed the move. Very polite and courteous employees. Worked well together as a team. Took great care to protect furniture by wrapping in both pads and clear wrap. No damage detected. On time, went the extra mile. Did exactly what they said they would do. Price was very competitive. Highly recommend!

Both Terry and Josh were extremely professional. Their movers were friendly, professional and extremely careful with all of my belongings. Moving is extremely stressful, so having the right team was absolutely imperative. They were communicative and punctual. I definitely made the right choice with Golden Movers!!!

They gave an estimate and worked with us to determine the best way to store items until the final move.

How often do you get the owners to give you the quote and to lead the moving crew moving your possessions. This Christian-faith-based moving company practices what they believe in. Although based in Tampa, Terry arranged a convenient to me visit to Orlando, listened carefully to my concerns for care during the move and provided a quote that provided a credit for all the boxes and packing materials I had saved from a move the year before (other companies wanted to play games and sell me and use only their boxes and packing materials). He also helped me with a reasonably priced repair/replace insurance policy and deductible (other companies offered only 60 cents per pound for a damaged item). On moving day, Josh, the other owner, arrived with 4 other men. He personally packed my delicate ocean treasures and my dining room service. They had the packing done in 1/2 day, loaded the truck and drove to Tampa that day. The next morning they arrived on time and were done by noon! There were NO damages - NONE! This company is growing and had crews with non-owner supervisors. I was impressed the owners were still out in the field. Everything occurred exactly as they stated. I am a very satisfied user of their service and have recommended them to others who are using their services.

They really worked their tails off. They worked very hard with no complaining. They were very excellent. I would use them again and recommend them to anybody.

Josh and his team were life savers! I needed to move from Tallahassee, FL to Tampa, FL and I was on a budget! They met my budget needs and provided impeccable service at the same time. I have a lot of furniture and they handled each piece with great care. They also unloaded and placed all my furniture in my new home including putting it all together for me. They even helped me move things around a few times till I figured out how I liked it in the room! I cannot say enough wonderful things about this company. I will be sending all my friends and family to them!

The guys came and packed our home and moved us from San Antonio Fl to Bethlehem, PA. They were careful in the packing process, prompt and respectful. (My parents are in their mid 80s). They were patient with questions but kept working. They worked hard and long!. They arrived in Bethelhem the day they promised and got to work! They put furniture where we asked and then were willing to move some things around when we changed our mind! The price was significantly less than the 3 other estimates we received. They are prompt, courteous and fabulous! I would recommend to anyone. Great job!!

We had an excellent experience from start to finish. Terry's estimate was based on a careful walk through of our house, and the final cost came in where he promised it would. The cost was also only a modest amount above the estimate we had for a move where we, not the movers, were to prepare the furniture and load the truck. We've moved several times in the past with the big national movers and this was a far superior experience, at a more reasonable cost. Terry's team was friendly, polite and worked really hard and efficiently - AND they took wonderful care of our furniture (wrapping and padding it). Everything arrived in great condition. I particularly appreciated that two of the crew who loaded the truck were also the drivers, and did the unloading at the other end. With the big national movers, you get subcontractors and lack of accountability. These folks were a pleasure to work with and I'd highly recommend them.

A person from this company arrived at the time we had set up on the phone for an estimate. He was wearing a shirt and hat with the company logo on it in an unmarked truck with child with him. He was not wearing a company badge with a picture so I politely asked him if he could show me a picture identification before I let home in my home. At this point he got upset with me and started telling me that he has been in business 25 years and no one has ever asked him for a picture identification. He stated that if I was giving to request to see picture identification from all his movers that this would be a problem and that this is a job that he should not even bother taking on. I explained to him that for safety and security reasons I do not let anyone in my home unless I can verify that they are who they say they are with a company picture identification. He proceeded to act like it was a big deal and argue with me in front of the child about how the shirt and hat with a company logo on it should be enough for identification purposes and that I contacted him for an estimate an he did not contact me and he does not know why he should bother with doing my estimate since I need to see his picture identification before he comes in my home. Overall his argumentative approach was very disrespectful and unprofessional and I will also be notifying the BBB in relation to this unprofessional business conduct. My husband and I currently live in a neighborhood that has frequent business traffic and often alot of solicitation despite our communities no soliciitation posting so we always ask for picture identification for any company's personel or contractors that come in our home. This is the first company we have come across that was hesitant to show a picture identification and acted in such an unprofessional argumentative manner when asked to show one. This person was so argumentative about such a simple request that I am glad that I did not hire this company to move my personal belongings because it makes weary of the people that would be handling my belongings and be in my home with me and my newborns during the moving process. . I am glad that I am careful about who I let in my home around my children and personal belongings and I expect that any company personel that I hire should be able to show picture identification before being invited into my home.

Overall, I was pleased with the service. The price was about $1000 lower from the next competitor. The men were careful to pack our things well. They were pleasant, and they worked hard. I thought they did a nice job, and I'd use them again for a future move.

I did not use Golden Movers, but only because I had hired the first company that called me back. Golden was the second, and I was very impressed.

Besides the biggest relief of getting the move completed before the rains started I was very pleased with the professionalism of the crew. Each of the movers were very polite and friendly. Not once did I hear a negative comment or any cursing. The men seem to enjoy working as a team and everyone appeared to work as hard as the next. Oh, I also have a drapery workroom in my garage with a 12 foot table, heavy industrial sewing machines, 100's of bolts of fabric, displays, cabinets, and a mess of wood working tools. Not only did they help break it down but they set up the machines and table so that I can get my business up and running again. All in all, Golden Movers exceeded my expectations in getting this move completed so quickly.

Overall it went very smoothly. - Movers arrived on time (8:00AM) Sharp on saturday the 26th.- they unassembled my wardrobes, uninstalled the appliances and loaded up the truck by 4 PM.- They arrived on tuesday the 29th on my dallas home at 8:00 AM. Again on time.- there were only 3 people to unload and reassemble and it took them 8-10 hrs to unload.- my car's windshield were broken and the driver richard was very prompt in telling me as well arranging the compensation. They were ready to pay off the repair guy themself but since he could not make it the same day. they paid me in full instead (took of the invoice) right away.- They were not able to install my dryer and dishwasher but i was expecting that i was even surprised that these guys were willing to uninstall and install the appliances. Other moving companies told me i had to get appliances installers to do the job.- Beside the car windshield not a single scratch on any other item. Now the bad part because of which i did not give them A in quality. - They did not install the second IKEA wardrobe correctly.- They did not assemble the breakfast table correctly. i don't blame the actual guys doing it. They were only 3 and they were tired by end of day and they had to move to another job in houston that night. I believe their scheduling office under estimated the unloading job. If there had been one more guy or if they had half an additional day where they were not so tired i do not believe these mistakes would have happened. These only happpened during the end of unloading process. And we were so tired our self that i also missed noticing it that day and we did not do any work that day. I can imagine how much tired those guys would have been at the end of the day.

They were outstanding. They are amazing. I would recommend them 100%. They are reliable and professional. I can’t say enough about them, as they are just great. They did everything up to my expectation.

overall I was very pleased with the service and the price... Golden met our dates (and those dates shifted as we had to adjust around house sale closing)... Laura Prather was excellent in helping us through the process and answering our questions -- she is a real asset... The only suggestion for improvement would be for Golden to keep us a little more informed -- there were some mechanical issues on the transit north to PA... While it didn't affect our flexible schedule, I would have like to have heard about the slight delay from Golden directly...

They did a great job moving my things from my home into storage. I am still planning to have them move my things from storage to my current location. The price was really reasonable. I liked that they are family owned. They are polite and efficient.

I researched this company for my girlfriend's family when they were ready to move the parents into an assisted living facility. By all accounts the moving company were efficient and effective and the move went better than promised. She never told me how much they spent, but she did tell me with examples how impressed she was with the movers. She has many moves worth of experience under her belt from the years she spent in the military, so for a moving company to impress her they must really know what they're doing and do it well.

Remove my mom's antique furniture from her condo and move up north to New Jersey. On both occasions they wrap and move the furniture with a lot of care. Their price was the best that I got after a number of estimates. My brothers need to move other furniture and most likely will use Golden Movers

Everything was great. They came out, and they gave me a quote and it was accurate. They gave me the proper amount of men because I lived in a building with an elevator. Everything was fast and efficient. They did my packing, and I had a good successful move. I would use them again in the future if I needed to.
