I've moved several times a 35 year period. Golden Movers is the Rolls Royce of moving companies. The best company I have ever used - no one (absolutely no one) will top the care and service that they provide!

Just finished an in-town move. Owner have me an estimate over phone. Two most impressive things about this company: #1 - They try to give you the REAL price up front, rather than set you up for a shocker at the end. They were a couple hundred higher on the initial estimate, but that is what I paid. I believe they have integrity. #2 - the crew were not a bunch I thugs. They were hardworking/strong, personable men. These were not day laborers. They knew the tricks of negotiating right corners, etc. I would hire again.

The crew of six did an excellent job of packing and moving us. Everything arrived in the same condition it left home.

I have moved many times over my life and Golden Movers was by far one of the most professional, courteous and high-quality movers I have ever used. They took great care to ensure that every piece of furniture was carefully wrapped and sealed to ensure its safety during transport. I watched as the experienced members of the team take over a specific room or task, Josh taught the new members of the team how he expected the work to be completed. He was an excellent teacher and just by watching I even learned a thing or two. They were all very professional and worked very hard to get everything done without sacrificing professionalism. When we move again, we will definitely be calling them to handle it again.

Could have been a bad day, other reviews seem positive. They helped me at the last minute which I appreciated. However, complete lack of communication between the partners in the group. Three people showed up and seemed annoyed that they would have to pack and they were under the impression there was less furniture than there was. This seemed to surprising and annoying to the crew. I gave the person I booked with, an accurate estimation, however, that seemed to be lost in translation with others in the company. They did a horrible job packing. Complained frequently about the load, and accidentally tried to overcharge me at the end with a separate rate that what I negotiated. I don't think it was intentional though.

They were so kind. The employees were all wonderful and when I moved into my new home they asked me where I would want everything placed so that I would have to do minimal work. They did a very neat and tidy job as well. I have moved many times so I know that they did a great job. I hope to not have to move again in the future I will definitely use this company. I tell everyone of how great they are!

Right now my boxes are in the tracj and on it's way to Boston. I am confident both Q and Dre will perform well and deliver the boxes on time. I will put another comment update upon arrival. Thanks Josh and thanks Q and Dre.

Golden movers did an excellent job for us, there were 6 men and the boss on the job, everyone knew what to do and did it. I would use them again if and when we move. We highly recommend getting a quote from them when you are shopping around, they might be a few dollars more that the average mover, but as the saying goes you get what you pay for. This is a top-shelf outfit. Bill was the lead and was extremely professional and well-prepared. The pieces are valuable but were very well protected prior to moving. Each mover introduced himself and looked me straight in the eye - uncommon in this day and age. I'll be using them again and highly recommend Golden Movers.

On time, professional, and when they unloaded truck, they first covered floors in house. Patient with furniture placement. Was concerned about glass in china cabinet, but did not break. They are the BEST!!!

They were extremely professional and sent more than enough well qualified folks to make the move simple and fast

I had used Golden Movers 7 years ago to move, then found and reviewed them here when looking for a mover again. After reading reviews here on Angies List and meeting with Josh, we decided to use them again. We are so very happy we did!! My husband and I are nurses and worked the three days prior to our move so our house was not even started to be packed. I had worked a 16 the day before and was tired and sick the day of the move. The 6 men arrived at 8 am and went straight to work wrapping and boxing our things. I went through rooms picking up items I didn't want pack and instead wanted safely with me so they were not lost in a box somewhere when I needed them. Not one cross look was given to me, despite the fact I was kind of in the way, and they even acted like they were in my way not the other way around! By 2 pm my entire home was packed and loaded and I only had to vacuum and sweep the floors prior to leaving, as I cleaned the bathrooms while they worked. We stayed at our families' home over night and our things were stored in a set location. Andrew was the head crew man on our move and he was professional, easy going, and a perfect fit for our personalities. Thursday morning we met them at our new home and began unloading. They were easy going about putting my things where I wanted them and even moving things from one room to another when I changed my mind. My things arrived safely in my new home and as I have been unpacking I have not found any broken items. Our ladder was accidently left on the truck, however, the next day a check was in the mail for a replacement purchase. My husband had to run a few errands during the move in and I felt totally comfortable and safe with all the guys alone. I cannot say enough good things about this company! Moving after working so much, being emotional about leaving my friends, and being pregnant with bad morning sickness these guys made my life and move so much easier and less complicated. They are a God fearing Christian company, but they do not in anyway force this on you. Instead they are just honest; simply honest, respectful, and professional. I will use them again for any moving needs I have!!

The move went extremely well. There were 4 guys for move #2. They were awesome. Just like move #1 I have no complaints. I would like to think each and everyone involved in my move to storage and out of storage. Nothing was damaged and all of my belongings were delivered. I appreciate Terri and Josh's patience with me since both moves had to be rescheduled. Again thanks to all involved. Move # 1 was Josh, JT, DeAndre, Wayne and Dwayne and Move # 2 was Avery, JT, Wayne and DeAndre. I would definitely recommend this company. Excellent work! Thanks.

They were really good. They were on time and they were very nice. They took care to wrap all of our furniture and pad it.

Obviously they did a wonderful job for me as I remember them so well years later. They assisted us with our last few boxes of late packing (no extra charge, just being nice guys). Items of extreme importance were placed in our cars and they recommended items they felt would be safer traveling with us. I greatly appreciated this care. I remember them having some trouble starting their truck after it was loaded, however, they dealt with it quickly and it did not affect us at all. Plenty of care was used in wrapping our furniture, and transporting it down our very narrow apartment stairs. All furniture was placed just where I wanted in the new home, and put together. The entire move was very fast and smooth. We absolutely would recommend this company and so would our family and friends who were not asked to move us for the third time in three years :)

Circumstances changed, and I was not able to use them to move.Would call them - and only them - in the future!

It went extremely well. These guys were excellent. There were 4 guys plus Josh. They were professional and quick and were knowledgeable. They were very careful in packing all of my items making sure that fragile items were handled with care. Josh and his team were very punctual as well. I hope the move out of storage goes as well and that nothing is found damaged once delivered. Thanks for a job well done.

The move was flawless. they were very helpful, packed everything carefully and were very respectful.

All the movers we talked to were pretty close in price, but Golden Movers stood out because: (1)they have seriously large trucks, easily twice the size of all others (this takes the fear of running out of space and adding another truck and crew and dollars) 2) They pad every piece of furniture, then wrap in plastic so your stuff actually shows up in one piece (3) They show up with a large crew (eight men in my case) so the move does not take forever (4) They move along, not too fast and things get broken, and not too slow to make the day longer. (5) They gave me a set price so my worries of going long and going broke were negated Golden Movers did a great job.

Great people to work with...very professional...came promptly....packed carefully. Arrived at estimated date in Morgantown. Arrived in the evening, after what most folks would consider the end of the workday. Friendly, efficient...just really nice, hardworking guys. We didn't make the minimum amount on weight, so had it pay the minimum flat fee. Ouch! Perhaps would have chosen some more items (this is our doing, ill-prepared). I also forgot to use the Angie's List coupon (my fault), but would have been nice to be reminded, especially since we didn't reach the minimum weight. But, I would recommend Golden Movers any time.

On the day of packing, the other owner, Terry was there on time with his 4 helpers. Terry was the packer of the 3 car garage, and there was no room for a car. Lots of stuff. They came back the next day to finish packing and were on the road at the time they said. In Ohio they arrived the afternoon we closed on our condo just as they said they would be. Terry made sure the boxes went where I wanted. Of many many moves I / we have made over the years this one was right at the top of the scale. Here is the HOWEVER of the move. The Packers in Florida were just so so. My fine china was wrapped, all together with no padding/paper between the plates. (I had even purchased padding but they didn't use it). The same with the cups, saucers, bowls etc. Another box had "antique" prints packed with liquor bottles and one leaked. It was very lucky that the leak was on the opposite side of the box. There were many more items that should have been more carefully packed. In my home office there was one box with some computer equipment, speakers, a radio, and items from the living room just thrown into that box. No padding to be found. I still have many boxes to unpack. I shudder to think of what 'else' I will find that the packers messed up. There were some boxes packed way to full and one with one lamp shade. I would never have those packers doing my job again. They were friendly and polite but that's not what they were paid to do. There was a glass top of a jewelry box that was broken because 'again' lack of padding and placement. Saying that, I would use them again, Josh and Terry, but would want a better crew that knew what they were doing to pack my "good stuff. Thank you Josh and Terry

To say that our experience with Golden Movers was incredible would be an understatement. We've never used a moving company before but I don't think there's anyway that our move could have gone smoother. On moving day they had a crew of 5 or 6 guys led by Andrew come out to pack the house. They wrapped everything very carefully (they probably took better care of our stuff than we would have ourselves,) and they had the house packed up in about 5 or 6 hours. They then had our stuff in Knoxville the very next day. Initially it was estimated that they'd deliver to Knoxville by Monday or Tuesday but once Andrew found out that we were planning to arrive in Tennessee on Sunday he was happy to move up his schedule. So rather than sleeping on an air mattress for 3+ days we were only without our furniture for one night, awesome. They actually beat us to the new house by about 45 minutes on Sunday. They started to unload right when we got there and had everything off the truck and into our new house within a few of hours. Even more importantly there was absolutely no damage to any of our stuff. Amazing.

Since I was moving to another state I did quite a bit of research to find a moving company. The previous companies I called gave exorbitant estimates and were not able to give definite delivery dates. I saw great reviews for Golden Movers on Angie's List and decided to give them a call. They promptly showed up to access my belongings, gave me a reasonable quote (huge difference from the other companies!!), and a definite pick up and delivery schedule. The guys showed up promptly on the scheduled date, packed the truck in a timely matter( super fast!) and arrived in Atlanta as planned. On the move in day the truck arrived on time and the guys unloaded again in a timely matter. There was no damage to any of my belongings and I had many fragile items.. Just have to say the entire experience was stress free from start to finish. All the employees were professional and courteous. I would definitely use them again
