Genie Cleaning

We arrived home to find our floors covered with dirt/mud and leaves, half the windows and blinds not cleaned, the cabinets not wiped down, a mop in the middle of our kitchen floor, dirty rags on our good furniture and childrens toys on our living room floor. We immediatley called Caroline to discuss and she informed us that she would get back with us. This was on a Monday, she called back on Tues and informed us she could not come back before Thurs. At this time she made several excuses as to why the project was not completed, never an apology or offer to refund our money that we had already paid her. I called her Tuesday evening to discuss how upset and frustrated I was. This was when I discovered that she had brought all of her children to my home when she was cleaning which explained why the floors were full of dirt and childrens toys were left on the floor. When I told her how inaapropriate it was to bring her children without my knowledge and that they left things on the floor that my grandson could choke on this was her response " maybe you should watch your grandson closer", "Its not like I left a dirty diaper or they broke anything". I asked her who she had watching her children while she was cleaning my house, her response was "they sat on the floor". I again told her how unprofessional this was. She informed me she did not appreciate me "b*******" at her and hung up on me. I called her back, She then informed me that the reason things were not complete was they had to spend time looking for "MY" cat. My cat is very social and never hides from any strangers in our home. I was very specific that she needed to be careful and make sure all doors were closed or the cat would get outside. I am sure at this point she was worried one of her children left the cat outside. I again, told her she should have informed me that she planned on bringing three small children into my home when I was not there. I also told her I was sure the three children probably scared the cat her respone, "well, what do you do when your grandson visits". At this point I was extremely frustrated, this is my home, not hers...how disrespectful and unprofessional!! In addition, I found out at some point her husband was there to complete part of the project. Just be warned if you hire her, you will have her entire family in your home. My house was dirtier when I came home then when I left. I told her she could keep the money for pet sitting however I expected a full refund for the cleaning, her respone; "you can expect anything you want" !! She has a very professional brochure full of false advertising...I would never recommend her!! She did offer to come back to my home on Thursday to complete what she did not do.... I did not want her back in my home!!
