Paul was on time for the quote, hit the promised dates for the installation right on, perfectly, and most importantly everything looked brand new without a sign that work had taken place. Paul takes a perfectionist approach to the work. He replaced all the screws and bolts from the original installation (15 years ago) because a few had rust on them. Everything was first class!

It went great. Paul always finds a way to make things work and also look nice on the house. He is also very mindful of the cost of aluminum parts which we appreciate too. The new gutter works fantastic - no leaks and no more flooding in that area. Placement of the downspout is perfect. Wish we'd asked Paul to do this job sooner! He's the best.

Paul installed super gutters several years ago when he built our screen room. We liked them so much (look good, very easy to keep clean) we've had him install them on other parts of our house. After recent rainstorms we decided to add another section. Also, we decided to eliminate a downspout at the back of the house because we no longer have a good way to route the water. As always, Paul did an excellent job meeting all our requests. Lots of companies can slap up gutters but Paul is very good at figuring out how to make them work so the water flows correctly. He makes excellent suggestions and is always concerned about the final appearance of his work. Our house looks better with Paul's gutters than it did without them. We're always very, very pleased with his work.

Paul was prompt with coming by for a quote, scheduled the job then was able to do it sooner, and completed the job to perfection.

Paul called back and scheduled a time to go over the work, he was on time, was very knowledgeable. Said he was going out for a couple of weeks and would get back to me with the estimate. After 3 weeks, left a voice mail and never got a response. NEver heard back again! Not good. He did have a list of people - he asked if I called because of Angie's list and I said yes. Not sure if that was the reason !

Paul the owner was very friendly and proffesional. He did an excellent job. He had a glitch with his supplier for one part that he needed but it was not his fault, It was the suppliers.

We have used GATOR/Paul before and this time was no different. A true miracle worker when it comes to new or repair work. The doors need about 1/2 of the panels replaced. Paul ordered, picked up and perfectly matched the existing panels - you can not tell that anything needed replacement. I note some complain about his availability - HE/HIS WORK ARE WORTH ANY WAIT. You can not find another that takes the time and professional ability to get it right - the first and every time. We will never use another for screen, aluminum or similar work and his costs are extremely reasonable as anyone can see for the work done and price paid. If there was some rating above an A - Paul earner and deserves it.

They are not very friendly or professional and could have at least given me the courtesy of returning my call to say they were not interested

We were extremely impressed with Paul of Gator Exteriors. We had him build a screened porch addition to our home. It is the entire length of the back of the house (12ft x 40ft.) He used an Elite panel insulated roof. It is beautiful! From start to finish, we were impressed. From the initial phone call response, to pulling permits, pouring the concrete pad, and building the porch- everything was done promptly and professionally. Paul did everything he said he would and more. We would definitely use him again, and recommend him highly to anyone wanting a porch. Great service!

Because of the room buckling it has pulled away the seamless gutters that connect the main roof to the metal one and it pours rain into the room. This is what actually alerted me to what's happening. It used to be a deck and they built the room on top of the deck, that's why the beams were so essential. It's mainly supported now on the corners of the wall which are concrete. It's simply a case of neglect and is causing our room to buckle. Professionalism is calling a customer back when a customer has a problem or needs to speak with him. I'd assume he's losing business from his lack of professionalism.

He knows his business, is very personable, reliable, prompt, and does EXCELLENT work. He worked within our budget.. Loved all the results

Extremely pleased with Paul's work ethic, prices and professionalism. He solely relies upon himself for all his smaller jobs, so there is some wait time involved before he can get to a particular job, which is very understandable, of a sole proprietor in this field, since it's not only based on number of jobs he's contracted but also the weather. Expect a little longer wait, especially during rainy season. Bottom line, if you are willing to be patient, he's well worth the wait and always kept us notified of his schedule and time frame we could expect work to begin.

From the first meeting, Paul was very professional and knowledgeable. He listened closely to what we were trying to achieve and then made suggestions and recommendations and gave us options for the screen type. Paul also sent us pictures of other similar jobs so we would see examples of his workmanship. Paul provided an estimate in a very timely manner. This estimate was not the least expensive but it was very reasonable. The date of service was within a reasonable timeframe and on the day of the job, Paul and his helper arrived on time, put down materials to protect our decking while they were working and went about completing the job in a very professional manner. Throughout the years, we have owned many homes and have had many workers complete installations and repairs. Without a doubt, Paul (owner of Gator Exterior Metals) was one of the most professional and thorough professionals we have met. As the owner, Paul personally completes and oversees every job and the pride he takes in doing the job right the first time is clearly evident. Because of this stellar reputation, getting on his schedule may not always be as quick as other companies who do the same service, but we feel that waiting for Gator Exterior Metals is well worth the wait. You will get an excellent and highly professional result. We very enthusiastically recommend Paul and Gator Exterior Metals.

This was the second time that I used Paul's services and was just as impressed as the first time. He does excellent work, impeccable attention to detail, consulted with me where there were alternatives such as trim or downspout locations, etc. Paul sometimes gets swamped and it may take a little while before he can schedule you in, but trust me, he's worth waiting for. He communicates well on scheduling, works hard, gets done on schedule, takes no shortcuts. Job site was clean and safe at all times.

It went extremely well. The owner personally did the job. He proved to be courteous, accurate in his estimate, and professional in accomplishing the work. He completely cleaned up the site. His price was well below the competition, and his materials were of high quality. In every respect, he proved himself to be as good as his word. He will be the first person we call when we have a similar job to do in the future.

We got several quotes from Angie's List A-rated service providers to have a screen enclosure installed. All the providers were professional, and the quotes for the enclosure itself were reasonably close, however only Paul (Gator owner) said he could remove a low-hanging soffit so the supergutters could be attached and drain properly. The other providers said I would have to hire a subcontractor to do it prior to screen installation. Paul was also the only one who asked about a possible encroachment of our patio into a utility easement (there was), and he identified the patio as being slightly trapezoidal. I had an abundance of e-mail questions for Paul which he answered promptly with accompanying pictures when required. We hired Gator Exterior Metals based on Paul's attention to the details and the fact that he would be doing the work himself. He provided us the information for obtaining a vacate on the easement, but we opted to pay him a small fee to handle the paperwork, microfische research, etc, as the permit for the original patio/pool installation in 1980 was not in the computer system. Be prepared to spend ~$400 getting a utility easement vacate from the county (this cost was not part of the $7900). Paul and his helper (Scott?) started work within a few weeks of the receipt of the vacate. They stick-built the entire structure on site, measuring each piece as they worked to ensure everything was coming together straight and aesthetically pleasing. This was important given the fact that the patio is not rectangular and would look uneven if it were built offsite and stretched to fit. My type-A nature compels me to hover over contractors who are working on my house, however after watching them work for a bit, I was confident that they were building it the way I would (if I could build a screen enclosure) and I left them alone to work. They arrived on time each day and worked the whole day, sans a short lunch break. At the end of the day, they cleaned up all stray materials and even blew off the patio. A week or two after the project was completed, one of the masonry screws holding a tie-down cable sheared off at the head. Paul sent his helper out to repair it the next day. We've had absolutely no issues with it since (1.5 years). The only reason I waited to write this review was I wanted to let the screen 'settle in' and see how well it performed over time. Lots of structures can look good when new but will show construction defects as they age. The only issue I have with the entire project is with the Rain Flow gutter protection material. It works well to keep the gutters clear of large debris, but it clogs with small particles (it's basically like the mesh swamp cooler stuff) and is tough to get back into position after you pull it out to shake out the debris. If I had to do it again, I'd probably use an aluminum guard material that would keep the leaves and berries out but wouldn't trap the smaller stuff, as it is comparably priced to the Rain Flow product. In summary, I would not hesitate to hire Gator Exterior Metals again.

Our experience with Paul could not have been better. He knows his business, is very personable, reliable, prompt, and does EXCELLENT work. We had a challenging permitting situation with the County and Paul was with us every step of the way - he even went with us to the variance hearing in case he was needed to testify on our behalf with the County. Paul also stepped in to save our daughter when an uninformed neighbor challenged her about the project. Turns out the neighbor will probably become Paul's customer too! Paul is like a member of the family and we would HIGHLY recommend him.

Paul's skill, attention to detail, and efficiency are without equal. Paul has always evaluated every job he has completed at our home as a unique situation, bringing his considerable expertise to the conversation in a manner that makes us confident that he will produce great results. He makes what we know from experience to be a hard job, look easy, with no wasted effort or materials. He is so easy to work with in every way. We enjoy admiring the work he has done, and it adds value to our home.

Everything went smoothly with Paul from the get go. We had gotten quotes from (I believe) three other companies and a handful of people from Craigslist who were just sent through email the dimensions of the porch. Paul was definitely way cheaper than two of the companies that looked at our house and about $200 more than one of the companies that came out. He was more than the quotes from the Craigslist people, by $600. We went with him over the company that was $200 less just because of that immediate gut feeling you have. Paul was a very personable, down to earth guy and we could tell right away that he was an honest and dependable person. The price quoted gave us two doors, a dog door and super screen (which is a better quality screen that will last longer in the FL heat). He gave us our quote within a day of looking at the porch and he started and ended the project in a timely manner. I would not hesitate to refer him or to call him again for another project. My husband's comments are, "Best pricing, honest, good quality and pleasure to work with." I will try to upload pictures as an edit to this post, as I see no way to add pictures from where I sit now. Paul arrived and took a few measurements then emailed an estimate later in the day. He was very professional, detailed and you could tell he cared about the quality of his work. After receiving the estimate, we asked for the work to be done and Paul scheduled us out within a couple weeks. He arrived in the morning and was done by late afternoon. The quality of the work is great, we had a kick plate and a door added to the screen and he made the adjustments without a problem. If I could give Paul and Gator Metals a better grade than 'A' here on Angie's List, I would. They were fantastic to work with, prompt, courteous and professional. This was one of the best experiences with a contractor that we have had by far!

This is an excellent contractor that clearly thinks through the job and is extremely detail oriented. He went above and beyond our expectations and I could not have asked for more!

They worked fine. They got the work done when they said they would. They were responsive, they came right out.
