At first the dry out process with Josh went smooth professional and informative. Then came the arrogant nite mare with the owner, Walt Kanyer. This man is not a man of his word. He will not follow thru with promises. He will not complete work or even do work that he is paid to do by Insurance Company and pocket the money. He was paid to move furniture to do work and told us to move it prior to me being aware that he was being paid substantially for it. He was paid for removal of all debris. As of this date I still have bedroom carpet laying in my garage that was to be hauled off along with a mirror. 900 square ft of floor tile had to be removed from home. He does not supply a cleaning crew to clean up the dust and mess that was made from that. Anyone that has had tile removed knows what kind of mess that makes thru out the entire house. Ladies beaware of this man when alone with this man as he will make some very arrogant and offensive remarks to you, and guys take note of this. 1 week after job was done soap dish fell off bathroom wall which his people replaced and after contacting them of this they made no attempt to come out and fix. I finally did it myself at my own expense. This company is a nite mare and I would not recommend them to anyone. This man cares about one thing HIMSELF. He is even arrogant and rude to his own employees. His own employees aren't even afraid to tell you in private what this man has done to other people. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING !!!!!!!!!!

Services did not go well. They started the job on 7/18/14 and still has not been completed. They sub contract out to different companies along with the Madewell cabinet company. The shelve-drawers for the 21 cabinets were put on my lanai floor. There was no consideration given to my physical handicap as they left everything piled on my lanai floor and boxes in.my dining room ang kitchen making it extremely difficult for me to get around since I rely solely on a walker while in my home. I have plaster dust everywhere in my kitchen even inside the upper closed cabinets, and in the dining room.. I contacted Florida Services to have them come and finish the work and they sent someone out to finish what the painters had done, but I still need my cabinets installed. I don't have a sink, stove, or dishwasher to use until they complete the job of installing my cabinets. I feel as if they have a done a messy job. They had left things incomplete except for the drywall and the painting. Cabinets were installed on 9/12&9/14/14. Unfortunately, there was no sharing of information and the drawers were emptied on the floor of the lanai. Florida Services sent someone to pick up the cabinet contents off the floor and out of the boxes. Everything had to be wiped off or washed. It has taken me hours to put things back.
Description of Work: Removed excess water with dehumidifiers.. They removed drywall and lower cabinets in the kitchen. They also removed the cabinet, ,drywall and sink in the bathroom.

I have reviewed the concern of our customer and discussed it with her on several occasions; this was an emergency water loss when a pipe ruptures in a home we are dispatched to the property just like the fire department. When you sale a kitchen remodel and it is planned out to a tee the job goes very smooth, but when you wake up and a pipe broke in the wall and water is in the home we have to do what is in the best interest of the property to prevent mold growth and further damage. The services technician work around the clock performing water extraction and demolition, unfortunately when we are called to an emergency the technician have to put personal property where ever they can to help the home owner, this property owner in question is a retired home owner that called our office daily requesting an install date for her wood cabinets, we explained several times that we cannot give an install date until the cabinets come out of production, we are matching the lower oak wood cabinets to the uppers oak wood cabinets this process is not over night. Cabinet production takes anywhere from 3 to 6 weeks to produce, as I have mention she is retired and has nothing to do but look and the missing cabinets so I guess that is why she is upset, we are very sorry that you had a problem with the pipes in your home but this could happen to anyone that owns a home in Florida. While we were waiting for the property insurance company to pay on the claim we went ahead and repaired drywall & paint all the walls, this helped speed the repair process, to date the kitchen is back together and the home is happy with the turn out of the matching cabinets we also sent her an employee for 2 days to clean and put back all personal property and no charge, the insurance company does not pay for this services.

It went ok. I am not qualified to judge the workmanship. They were just a bit pushy and the company seems to have some difficulty scheduling properly, but it was ok. I was stuck after they began the work, and the second and third days they were not so punctual, but it was ok.

The dry out that they did was great because they came and did it right away but the service after that for the remodeling portion was really horrible. It went downhill from there. They were awful and it took them a long time to get the job completed. We had a waterline break and water came down through our wall which ruined our flooring so it had to be replaced. They had to remove all the drywall and put plugs in the wall to vent and dry out the wall. After that, the owner came in and gave us a quote. He indicated that when it came time to pick out our new flooring, there would be no problems and we would be able to pick out whatever floor we wanted whether we want to go back to the laminate flooring, if we wanted to put in carpeting and whether we wanted to put in tiles. He said that whatever we wanted to do would be permissible. The day that he came in to take measurements and put in his final estimate, I was not available and he consulted with my husband and he submitted his estimate without asking us anything about the flooring. He put in a price of like $1.20 for laminate flooring per square foot and the flooring that was destroyed was well over $4 or $5 per square foot so in order to get flooring that the insurance was going to pay for the $1.50, I had to pick out very cheap flooring. That turned into an argument back and forth and we had to get the insurance to approve additional funding. He has different people come as far as the painters, the people that put the drywall back on the wall, the people that did the flooring and eventually the people that came to cleanup which was after everything was done to clean the floors and the walls and stuff from the remodel and there were always issues with each one of them and the owner would not return our phone calls personally. He would not come and inspect the people's work like we were asking him to. He just constantly had his office personnel call us and try to resolve these and there are still issues that are unresolved. He submitted quotes to the insurance company agreeing to perform work that he was not going to perform and when we questioned him on that and either wanted our insurance reimbursed or wanted to be reimbursed ourselves, he refused to do that. I believe that he is a liar, a cheater and a thief because he lied to us and to the insurance. He cheated the insurance and he stole from the insurance. I believe that he used subcontractors to do the job but they work for him under his employment. He has several different business entities and he was recommended through our home warranty company. I would grade his personal responsiveness as an 'F' and his contractors' as a 'D'. His subcontractors also never showed up on time. I would never recommend him to anybody and I have refused his services since. I had another claim for a well issue outside and our home warranty company wanted to send him again but I refused.

After reviewing this customer’s complaint, I pulled her file and research the items that she is talking about. Her insurance company is Citizens property and the adjuster estimate only paid $5.82 per square foot installed and he only allowed for the pool room, out of common customer services we installed new flooring in this room as well as the hall way which is another 85sf that I Paid for and did ask the property owner for a dime. The floor allowance provided is the replacement cost of like for like. Any customer that suffered flooring damage should know that the carrier is only obligated to replace the floor for the fare market value, the carrier only owes up to the door jam if you have a T strip separating the two living areas the carrier will not pay any additional money, this customer in question had that strip, to keep people happy we went ahead a paid for that flooring. As for different employees/subs, it’s called trade work each trade specializes in different fields of a job. As for cleaning of a home, the standard cleaner will charge a minimum of $75.00, the insurance company only allows .21 cents per square foot, the room is a 241.32 SF so that means the carrier will owe $50.67 this would not be enough money to complete the job and we never allowed for a cleaning service for such a small area. As for augment between us, I never had a heated conversation with this customer the price of flooring is dictated for what you had prior to the loss, if the allowed dollar amount was wrong why did you pick it out and let us install it? I strive to give a fare price for good services, as all consumers know you just can’t please everybody, the important thing is we finish the job and she had nothing to pay but her deductible. We have 100’s of customer for reference checks if anybody would like a list please contact our office, this review is unfair.

The quality of the work was professional. The workers were respectful and cleaned up after the job. My main complaint was with the owner and his sales representative, Dave. We were told that everything would be taken care of from start to finish, however, that was not the case. After the job was completed we were waiting on inspection. I realize we were in Pasco county and the company was in Hillsborough county. I could not be here due to fact that I just started my new job, but was told not to worry they would have someone here to meet the inspector. That was not what happened. Inspectors came by 3 times and each time no one from the company was here. I was told by Dave and the owner not to worry they would send someone to sit and wait for the next inspection. After repeated calls to the company with the same run around story, I became very frustrated and annoyed. I finally had to ask my neighbor to be on the lookout for the inspector. I also put notes on my door with instructions for the inspector to see my neighbor with her address and phone number. If I had been told earlier that this would occur, I would not have waited or depended on Florida Plumbing. I feel that administration in this company and the promises they make leave alot to be desired. Therefore, I would not recommend them to anyone I know.

This review is a two part review, this portion being for demo/dry-out that was needed as a result of a broken cold water line, that caused several areas in my home to suffer extensive water damage. I initially called my home warranty company and they contracted with this business on an emergency basis to repair the water broken water line so that my family would not be without water. Walt, the General Contractor, promptly telephoned and made arrangements to come to my home after hours. He brought with him Jeff, his plumber, who repaired the water line. Walt consulted with me and by way of thermal imaging showed me where the unseen areas where water damage had occurred. He indicated that if I wanted his company to complete the demo, dry out, and reconstruction process, his company would be able to provide all services. I agreed. The GC then telephones his demo/dry out service tech, Daniel Linga, who also came to my home after hours on emergency callout. Dan removed baseboards, flooring and underlayment. He immediately set up all necessary equipment to begin the drying process. He worked until late evening ensuring his job was done in its entirety. For the next four days, Daniel, promptly returned to my home to inspect and perform any necessary changes to equipment so as to continually ensure full dry out. With each visit, his used a moisture meter to detect if any moisture remained. Once completely dry, Daniel removed the equipment. Walt, Jeff and more specifically, Daniel, were prompt, caring, courteous and professional in all aspects of the services they performed. I would highly recommend this company for water damage dry-out services.
Description of Work: Repaired broken cold water line. Performed thermal imaging for water and damage. Removed baseboards, drywall, laminate flooring and underlayment. Provided dehumidifiers and air blowers for dryout. Followed - up daily on progress. Provided estimates, invoices, photographs and paperwork for both home warranty and home owner insurance coverage.

They came back and picked up the fans and blowers and informed us that they had treated the area for any problems. They were on time and very nice to us and understanding to our problem. They did not mess anything else up and made sure that we understood what they did and how lucky it did not go any further. This is a new home for us for retirement in the area and I would use them again. They even offered to do the repairs when we were ready to begin. I would use them again for any more of my plumbing services. I felt they were very professional in appearance and very helpful in answering all my questions.
Description of Work: My sewer line was cut and the sewer backed up into my house in my half bath and full bathroom on the first floor. It went into my kitchen. We called this company to come and do the work to clean up the mess that occurred. They answered the phone promptly with no down time. They told me they would be here by 4 and they were. They were prompt and very nice in dealing with. They came and cleaned the plumbing which included the toilets, shower and cut the sheetrock and sprayed to help with any mold. They dried up the floor and came back in a couple of days and picked up everything. They took all the ruined material out.

One of my offspring made a late night trip to the bathroom and clogged it beyond the plunger's ability. Of course, the water shut off valve behind the toilet was corroded and water got everywhere. I was dragged from my bed to a very upset kid and dirty water everywhere and no way to shut it off. (Husband was able to shut it off at the road after locating it in the dark) I called this plumber and they were there in less than an hour, were able to clear the clog, replaced the shut off valve behind the toilet and referred me to their other company that did the drying out process and the replacing of my wet baseboard and drywall. It was a very long, messy night but they made it immeasurably easier. Competence is everything, especially at 2am.

We had a toilet overflow that resulted in soaked baseboard and drywall. The technician came out after the plumbers stopped the flood, they brought their equipment and were able to dry everything up within a couple of days. They even came back out and removed the ruined baseboard and drywall and put my house back together again. The best part was that the office was able to coordinate with my home owners insurance so that I didn't have to deal with that aspect of it! They were prompt, professional, they knew what they were doing.

Josh came out and he was courteous, professional. and efficient, explained what he was doing and what I could expect. Also when I could expect him to return (fans were left through the night to dry the walls), which was really nice. The experience of facing repairs and living through the inconvenience can't be helped, but the person doing the work can make it as pleasant as possible, and he did. I would definitely use this company again or recommend them. In an addendum, I didn't realize that the drying out was only part of the picture. Josh was professional, but all my dealings with the owner, Walter, were not at all acceptable. It became a nightmare and I would not use them ever again.

Description of Work: I hired this contractor and decided not to go with them due to their high prices and mark ups and the fact that I couldn't get what I wanted...when I finalized my services, i was expecting a couple hundred dollars refund from the insurance check and the $1000 deposit that I gave them for my deductible...and was severely disappointed when my check came and it was under $20.00. They had charged me over $900.00 for two very small drywall repairs with minor texturing and NO paint!! I'm very happy with my decision to take this project on my own and have been able to get what I wanted, and more, within the budget that I have. I went with Simple Floors and give the, very high marks. Benjamin Bee here in Tampa is great!

I’m very sorry it took this long to reply to your posting, it has been very busy. This property was a large loss home with estimates over $17,500 the 2nd drywall patch that was performed was unrelated to the insurance loss, the adjuster was not even close to given the amount of money needed to properly repair the flooring in this home, my insurance back ground is very strong and my ability to settle a claim with an adjuster is just as strong. After the property owner heard that the settlement check was close to 20K she decided to keep the money and fix it herself so she can profit from my work so we billed for the worked completed and we did not charge for my time dealing with her adjuster and the mutable trips to the property, a simple thanks would have been ok. With that said the charge of $980.00 for 2 separate drywall repairs is not unreasonable when you kept all the money that I got you.
