Did not go ... for calls were never returned to establish an appointment for an estimate.

Nick was terrific and his Jason-and-son subcontractor team, along with a third worker, worked quickly and effectively. The only nitpick I have is that I wish FL Fence was clearer on their install timetable. When they said "two-to-four weeks" I thought that meant the work would be completed in that time frame. That really means they will get you slotted in their very busy schedule within that period. But the work was done on April 18 and considering I accepted the proposal and placed a deposit on March 10, that's an acceptable turnaround, especially given the service and price.

Installers worked well together and completed job in one day with excellent result.

I Called the company on a Friday and asked for an estimate to replace existing chain link fence. The man to do the estimate called me on Monday evening and set up an appointment on Friday at 10am. He never showed up. I called the Company on Friday afternoon and left a message as to what happened. I didn't get a return call. I then called the man who was to do the estimate and left a message on his cell phone. I never heard back from the Company or the man who was scheduled to do the estimate.. It must be nice to have so much work scheduled you don't have to follow through with future customers. I have since had my work done by Family Fence Company who showed up when they said they would and did a wonderful job!

My experience was outstanding! They did a fantastic job and even came back the next morning to check that everything settled well. There was a warranty incase anything needed to be replaced. They got all of the needed permits and hauled away the old fence. A year and a half later, the fence still looks great!

He was so very nice. The owner of the company actually came out and did the work himself. He had the tools and got the job done. He was more than happy to help me and wouldn't charge me a dime for the work!

I do not recommend this company. This company is, by far, the worst I’ve dealt with regarding responsiveness. Our saga began in the Spring 2011 when the fence was installed. We had consistent issues with quality; responsiveness from Nick; the subcontractors displayed a lack of respect for other property; and they had to use our ladder and hammer to perform their daily tasks. Now, one year later, a fence post is leaning. I spoke with Nick about the issue several weeks ago. A few weeks go by: no response. So, I placed another call to him. This time, I left a message. It has been about four weeks now since I left that message and I am STILL waiting on a return call. I am rating this company now because I just joined Angie's List and am still experiencing issues.

See above. We would never recommend this company. Horrible experience overall. Fence install still not completed.

I wasn’t impressed with them at all. I am currently dealing with them. They left a hole in the ground and I could move the fence. I do not know if he was the owner or the manager and he really apologized for that but their work was not very good at all. I lifted up some grass and there was a big hole and my dogs could have put their leg in, so I wasn’t impressed with them. I had to call them out a couple of times. I would grade them an ‘F’ because of their shoddy work. They left big clumps of dirt too. They didn’t cleanup after themselves. They first started the work in November and they came back out last week. I would not use them again in the future and I wouldn’t even recommend them to anybody.

I contacted Florida Fence to have someone come out to give me a quote approximately a month and a half ago. The girl in the office said they could not get someone out until the next week. When I mentioned the times I would be available she then retracted and said since I live practically right around the corner from the office that she could have someone stop by that Friday morning early when the man would be on his way to other jobs. She said he would be here by 8a. When the day arrived I received a call and the man stated he was not going to be able to come after all. When I asked when he could come he told me to call the office to reschedule. Of course, now I missed out on any potential opportunities to get an appointment within the week I was originally told I would have to schedule. I set up an appointment with a girl in the office by the name of Stephanie. I believe she was the girl I had originally spoken with, but I had not made note of her name at that time. We resheduled for the man to come out by 9am on a Friday. This was, of course 1 week after when I could have already had the quote had she gone with her first comment about not having anything until the following week. Since they had cancelled the last appointment at the last minute, I decided I would call just before the newly rescheduled appointment. I again spoke with Stephanie who then told me Nick would be out sometime that morning. I said that is not what you originally told me. She said they don't give specific times for appointments. I indicated my extreme frustration with this company and I told her that I didn't know what they do the rest of the time, but that is what she told me when I set up the appointment. I told her I would not have accepted such a loosely arranged time such as that since I had to work later in the morning. I explained to her that I was so frustrated at that point that I didn't know if I would feel confident in relying on their workmanship or their promptness. (I had made several other calls a few times in between all of this with some questions and each time that I contacted the office and was told someone would call me back it never happened. I was the one who had to call back for follow-up.) She apologized and said they had several really big jobs pending and they were really busy. I said I can understand that, but that is no excuse. I told her I wanted Nick out at my property by 10a or they can forget about coming. She said she would have Nick call me back. (I believe Nick was the one who cancelled on me the first time, but I again did not make note of the name back at that time.) When Nick called me I was quite upset. He stated the girls in the office were working really hard and they had jobs backed up. He was making all kinds of excuses that I really shouldn't have to hear. However, when he arrived I found him very professional which renewed my faith in the company's ability to potentially do a good job. He was very thorough and made several suggestions that I had not even considered. I asked if he would email the quote rather than mail it as I knew that it would arrive quickest that way. He said he would get that to me on Monday. After Monday came and went, I called the office and left a message that I had not received the quote. I did not receive a call back either. I found a written quote, sent by regular mail, in my mailbox more than a week after the appointment. After much deliberation, I decided I would contact them to accept their quote as they had given me the best price out of all the quotes I'd received from other companies. I, once again, spoke with Stephanie. When I asked how quickly they could install, she said that it depends on when I come by to sign the contract and leave a deposit, but in general installation would take place 1 week after I did that. So, I clarified that if I brought the check down that afternoon I would have installation 1 week later. As it was early in the week I expected that I would have installation 1 week from that point. She stammered a bit and said well we have 5 really big jobs ahead of you and we probably couldn't get there until late next week. I said "you know Stephanie, I've already made it clear how frustrated I am with the way I have been handled by your company from the beginning and those 5 jobs would probably not be ahead of me if I had received the quote when I first arranged to get one and I can't wait that long. I've got a company delivering a shed next week and I need the fence done before that and you are leaving me no choice but to go with one of your competitors. I received a good price from your company and would prefer to go with you because of that, but it looks like I have no choice." She then back tracked and said let me see what I can do, maybe I can get you moved up sooner. She said she would call me. I have yet to hear from them..... and it has been 3 days since I spoke with them. I would say this company is not a company that can be relied on, and all the signs were there to avoid them like the plague. Even with my repeated attempts to give them my business, they dropped the ball. In the end, I'm probably better off that I never got locked into a contract with them. I now see their rating is not an A here on Angies List, and I'm surprised that it isn't lower given my experience with them, quite frankly. I wish I had Angie's List before I'd called them. I will NEVER call them again. I would suggest people look for other companies. There seems to be quite a few out there that have a better rating. Another fine example of "you get what you pay for".

Nick, the owner, was very prompt and professional. He furnished all insurance (both liability and worker' comp) as I requested. The work began promptly but took several days to complete. The long side of the fence seems to be settling into the sand. Sean, the foreman, came out in February to adjust a gate and pried the fencing up out of the sand and stuck a brick under it. I have a concern that the fence will settle again, but Sean assured me that I had only to call and they would come out and fix any problem. Overall the fence looks very nice.

I have used this company in the past and have not once been disappointed. They came to the property for the estimate, the estimate was presented in good time, the old fence was taken down and away and the new fence installed promptly. I am extremely pleased with the workmanship, with the pricing, and with the way my property has improved with this fence installation

Be aware that they do no work of there own—they subcontract ALL jobs. So you get little assurance of quality. My experience with them was terrible. Nick was very professional when he came out. He did not, however, mention that the work would be subcontacted. The contractor evidently refused to do the job for the estimate I was provided by Nick, so I was informed it would cost several hundred dollars more. I had already paid a deposit and had removed part of the driveway to accommodate the fence, so had little choice. It took two months for the contractor to begin the job after I paid my deposit. This despite my calling every week or two. Stephanie always assured me she would call back the following week to schedule. She did not call back even once during the two months I waited. The contractor they sent out required constant supervision. He did not align the fence properly. He did not mount the latch properly. He lost the finial from our fence post. Eventually, we got most of the problems fixed, but what should have been a fairly simple job was instead a constant headache. Avoid this company at all costs.

Not well. We loved Nick at first and had in fact interviewed him a few years ago. On his recommendation, we didn't replace the fence until this year, which was fine. This time around we had multiple problems with communications, over a period of approximately 3 months. Didn't return calls, showed up without appointments, changed appointments at the last minute. He gave many excuses, but didn't change anything. We had minor issues, which needed correcting and he didn't follow through on these.

Sales rep was good. The installation was fine, workers were courteous and cleaned up after themselves. People I have dealt with on the phone have been professional. However, when I called for a warranty repair (within warranty time period), I was told the repairs would be done. Now 10 MONTHS later and after SEVERAL calls to them, the repairs are still not done and I am told that, once again, it is scheduled for "next" week. Not sure it will EVER happen. It seems like the company does not follow through with the installation crews to make sure their jobs are done when there is no money being made on that job.

VERY PROFESSIONAL. THE COMPANY CAN RIGHT OVER AND GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE THAT I COULD UNDERSTAND. THEY WERE VERY BUSY BUT SQUEEZED ME IN WHEN THEY HAD AN OPENING. THEY WERE NOT THE CHEAPEST BUT I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM AND I WOULD USE THEM AGAIN. THE METAL FENCE AND GATE, AS WELL AS THE WOODEN SECTION, LOOK BEAUTIFUL AND FEELS VERY STURDY.

EXCELLENT SERVICE. HANDICAPPED FRIENDLY COMPANY. REALLY CARE ABOUT QUALITY. I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE WORK ETHIC AND FINISHED PRODUCT.

EXCELLENT FENCE INSTALLATION. REPAIR WORK TOOK LONG TIME TO GET COMPLETED SATISFACTORILY - COMPANY WASN'T VERY RESPONSIVE. ALL WORK IS NOW DONE AND IT LOOKS GREAT.

THE WORK WAS DONE PROMPTLY & SATISFACTORILY. PRICE WAS IN LINE W/OTHER ESTIMATES. ONE PROBLEM WAS THAT THEY DIDN'T CLEAN UP AFTER JOB. I CALLED SEVERAL TIMES TO ASK THAT THEY RETURN, BUT THE DIDN'T ACKNOWLEDGE ME. OTHERWISE, THE ESTIMATE WAS DONE WHEN REQUESTED AND THE QUALITY OF THE WORK WAS GOOD. I WOULD GIVE THEM AN A EXCEPT FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND TIDINESS WHICH WOULD BE MORE OF A B FOR INCOMPLETE WORK.

THE GENTLEMAN THAT CAME OUT TO CONDUCT AND ESTIMATE DID NOT SEEM INTERESTED IN HELPING ME, AND WAS PRE-OCCUPIED WITH HIS CELL PHONE THAT KEPT RINGING.

CHRISTIAN WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND CURIOUS. THE ONLY REASON I DID NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY WAS THE PRICE. MY HUSBAND AND NEIGHBOR DECIDED IT WOULD BE MORE COST EFFECTIVE IF THEY DID THE WORK THEMSELVES.

4/13/04 - FLORIDA FENCE CAME OUT TODAY TO FIX THE GATE AFTER 2 MONTHS OF TRYING TO MAKE THEM COME OUT.

They did exactly what they said they would do and my fence looks great!
