Florida Enclosures By Steve

I used Steve three times before for screen replacement and repair so I already trusted his work and his pricing. He is very thorough in his explanations and the work performed. I decided to replace all the screens after three large roof panels tore off and further inspection revealed many holes and wear in other screens. I was also concerned that some of the screws in the bottom frame pieces were starting to rust through. Steve completed the work in about a day and half in sweltering heat and worked right through until dark. I'm very pleased with the result. I feel much better about the lanai's ability to withstand summer storms and Steve improved the overall appearance of the lanai as well. He did a lot of work for what he charged. Thanks again, Steve!

I was so pleased with his genuineness that I asked how much it would be to redo all the fasteners of the cage to the deck. He didn't have enough to do the job that day but his price seemed fair, and I already knew he had a great Angie's List rating so I agreed. When he came back, I pointed out a cable concern on the cage which he thought was fine and not in need of replacement. As I mentioned to Steve, we are trying to get the cage to last a few more years, but he'll definitely be at the top of my list to call when we are ready to replace it!

Steve is a bit difficult to reach; he is his sole employee - other than Pat who graciously fields calls. Steve was 3 weeks out when he gave me an estimate. We had a 7:00 a.m. install time where I was late and he finished the job before I even showed. Great job, better than when it was new. Next will be a complete screened-in porch complete with gutter.

We decided to go with Steve because of the great comments on Angie's list. His price was comparable to others, but he was very patient to the end and answered all of our questions during the decision making process while the others were not. We were happy to have chosen him to do the work. Steve takes alot of pride in his work. He was very helpful, professional and courteous. He almost did all the work himself, sometimes working almost into the night. The screen looks great and he kept the work area tidy and clean at all times (as much as possible). He also did a couple of little things for us that weren't really even part of the deal we made. We really appreciated him taking the time to do those things for us even though he didn't have too. We would use Steve again for any re-screening needs that we have and highly recommend him to anybody that has any re-screening or screening needs. We have already recommended him to my husband's co-worker who needs a screen room built.

We had some high winds a couple of weeks ago and one of my high top screen enclosure panels blew out. I called several places and most A) didn't want to do any 2 story work or B) didn't want to be bothered with just one panel to replace. When I got hold of Florida Enclosures they were courteous and helpful thoughout the whole process. Not only did Steve Voss come out when he said he would but he did an excellent job. They probably should have charged more for the 2 story work but they did not grumble or complain, they did the job as they quoted. I would not hesitate to recommend Florida Enclosures to anyone. I certainly would not hesitate to use them again. They are the best of the best!

This is the second time I've used this company. Always a good response time, timely completion of the job, no surprises. Will continue to recommend this company to others. Very pleasant to work with.

When I called, the company was very pleasant and respnsive. He could not give me an estimate over the phone (I understand that entirely) but agreed to come out and call. me. He did and when he called I told him to go ahead to do the work. He did and left me a bill. I was very pleased with the cost, the quality of the repair and the professional, courteous way I was treated.

Went great. Bad weather during the week forced a slight delay but that was unavoidable. Steve and his son came out to the house and immediately got to work. Both he and his son were personable and chatted with me while they worked. They struck a good balance between the quality of work and the time it took to do the job. Steve cleaned up afterwards and the screens look great.

We had a few screen panels that were torn due to palm trees growing too large. We wanted all screen panels replaced. Steve came out as scheduled, gave us an estimate and explained everything his work would include (replace screen door hardware, replace all screws of entire enclosure, replace guards on bottom of doors, tighten guide wires). He was extremely professsional, worked in a timely manner, left site very clean. We were having landscaping done at the same time and Steve worked around that company's schedule - very accommodating! Our enclosure looks fabulous!

Finished enclosure. Subsequently he had to come back 4 times to fix leaks in the roof in the enclosure. Roof still leaks and one of the gutters pools water in its middle. He was contacted in early December of 2008 about the problems and agreed to fixed them in January of 2009. I have subsequently contacted him at least ten ( 10 ) times on these repairs and he does not call me back or show up for repairs . He has also been contacted by e-mail. Stay away from this guy unless you want workmanship problems he will not correct.

It went great from beginning to completion. I am very satisified with the finished project. To start with I had a real bad tie in design between the pool enclosure and lanai. I got several bids on a fix for the bad design and to rescreen the enclosure. Steve's proposed redesign of the enclosure and tie in to the enclosure was by far the best and also happened to be the cheapest. His work was first class and the redesign is functional and really looks great.

He was professional and showed up on time when he was supposed to. He also did his work well and judging from the work that he did, I thought the price was fair too.

Steve was outstanding and does great work. The only negative is becuase he is so busy, it may take time for him to get back with you! Quality work and good prices.

Gave initial estimate about December of 2007. We had to postpone several times due to financial reverses. They stayed patient with us, and were able to undertake and complete the project in January of 2009. The entire project was professional and well done, from the required termite extermination spraying and laying of the concrete foundation, through the finishing work. It passed inspection on the first go round.

He was right on the money. He did a great job and he was extremely punctual and honest about the costs of the job.

They did an excellent job. They were the best contractors that I've ever worked with. The owner's name is Steve. He supervised the entire project. I couldn't be happier.

It was excellent. The owner pretty much did all of the work. He listened to everything I wanted, and went above and beyond of everything I wanted. The only negative comment was that I wish I could have been offered additional options on what kind of screen I could get because the one I had the side of the screen hole still allows fleas.

I called them three times. Left message on a machine once and spoke with an employee twice. Both times the employee said that Steve would call me back, in fact, the second time he said he gave Steve the message, but I never received a call.

The experience was wonderful. I contacted Steve on Monday before Thanksgiving about installing a screen enclosure on our back porch. Steve said he could come out later that day to look at the job. He arrived as promised and listened to what I wanted and also made some wonderful suggestions. He said he would get back to me later in the day with an estimate. Before he left I asked him if he thought it could be done in time for Thanksgiving ( we were having 20 people for dinner). Steve looked surprised at my request, but said 'possibly'. He called later that afternoon with a price which I thought was very fair AND he said he could do the job on Wednesday. Steve personally showed up Wednesday morning and said his installer was held over on another job, so he was going to do the job himself. He started working before 8:30 and NEVER stopped. I'm embarrassed to say with all the prep work we were doing to get ready for Thanksgiving dinner, I completely overlooked the fact that Steve had been working non stop until late in the afternoon when my daughter offered him a cold drink. After that we offered him snacks and more drinks all of which he graciously declined. We left the house at 6:00 to go to dinner and when we returned Steve was gone and the job was completed. It looked fabulous!!! The quality was great and he had cleaned up everything. I cannot say enough about Steve, the company or the job that he did. We love it.

We had them come out and had them give us a quote. When they came they were nice and professional but they never called us or came by with a quote for us.

I did not have 1 complaint! They were the best!

I was very impressed with Steve the first time he repaired our pool screen and installed dog door. That was 1-1/2 years ago. Initially, when I call for this repair, Steve informed me that he could not get to my home until he completed a large screen job, and that would be late in the week. Which is fine, my job was a little one and I understood that all construction type business were slowing down and it was important to complete the big jobs first. This was during late summer when it rained everyday and sometime several times during the day, so like others he may have gotten behind in his schedule. When Steve or someone from his company did not show up the day I thought he had intended, I waited for another week and called again and left a message with the gentlement that answered the phone. I did not hear from Steve, so called his cell phone a few days later to ask if he wanted to do this and if he did not, I just wanted to make other arrangements. He explained that he was behind in his schedule, but he would be out. He arrived the same day shortly after my last call, tried very hard not to be upset, but I could tell he was not very happy about something. We all have those days for sure and I really was impressed by his attitude and workmanship the first time I hired him. The expensive dog door Steve put in did not work properly, my dogs did not want to go in or out of it as the doors would not open and close easily. I called the manufacturer, they said the door was defective and they sent me a new door. It was the manufacturer fault and nothing Steve did. In addition, after speaking to the manufacturer, the height of the door needed to raised, thus all the work Steve did was re-done by me, except for the screening, which I have not had assistance to put in and around the sides of the door. I have all kinds of holes in the frame, which is my fault, but my dogs are now able to go through this door at the correct height and the swing doors opening easily and closing properly. They now love this door. I did not have the heart to contact Steve to fix my mistakes or the replace defective door with the new one. I felt really bad that Steve appeared upset the last time he came to my house and don't know if he was irritated that he had to come out once again or he was just so far behind with larger jobs and lack of staff for the small stuff. Including the first door, plus the replacement door flap and now the new dog door, I have spent well over $ 600.00 for the dog doors only and the installation has been approximately $ 100.00 +/-. We have a large screen pool area which will have to be redone within the next year. Steve gave us an estimate which will be updated when we are ready. He has already proven to me that he does excellent work. He has always been very fair with me and everyone gets pressured by someone everyday. Maybe that was just a really bad day for Steve. I hope he will have happier days.

It was very excellent overall. They were always on time and cleaned up very well. I really agreed with the price. There was a little disorganization in the beginning, but once we worked that out it went smoothly.

He was good. He came out the next day and did the work for us. They came and did what they needed to do and got it done and the price was reasonable.

Steve Voss, who is the owner of the company, is a very personable guy. He sub-contracted someone to do the concrete work. That company did a great job with the concrete. Steve also did the screen work and worked on the roof. He did a good job as well.
