FLORIDA BUG INSPECTORS

Description of Work: Provided WDO inspection but missed dry wood termites that should have easily been seen by a professional. Another inspector believes that the infestation has been here for years and did not simply develop after the WDO inspection.

Description of Work: We had bad expereinces with two companies for termiite home inspection, and found Florida Bug Inspectors. He was very good on the phone. I was ready to schedule him until his first estimate price. He eventually lowerd the inpsection price (some) and I scheduled. The "certified horticulturist" was a bonus as he told us a lot of information about the plants on the property. The inspector did not dissapoint on the education portion of the visit. He was also very complete. More so than the last company we hired on a previous property. He checked the attic, crawlspace, and all parts of the property. He also made sure to point out prevention of rodents to the property as well as termites and pests. His report, that we have to submit, was complete and filed in correctly. While very chatty, he did do a great job. If you like a guy who will take a genuine intrest in your property and you want to let him educate you about pests, rodents, and plants, he well worth the money. At the end, he did mention that he could also do treatments and the like. I will do more research on that and other companies that do pest control if/when we purchase the property. For home inspections, I thought Fl Bug Inspectors were good.

Description of Work: I asked for a single pest control treatment for an apartment. Not only did Russ treat as needed, he also explained (insisted, really) the need for caulking both the inside and outside of the apartment. I thought he was kidding at first but he was serious. The point is to stop bugs from coming in. He was extremely knowledgeable.

Description of Work: FBI provided an initial termite inspection when we purchased our house. The contractor missed finding termites during the inspection, which were found about 4 weeks later when a new front door was hung. We also evidence of past termite action when we took down wallpaper in the bathroom. We understood that it might be difficult to locate all termites and agreed to have FBI treat the house to get rid of the termites. A chemical moat of Termidor was applied around the house in the soil and concrete slabs. The contractor also applied a termite eradication product to some walls in the house where previous activity was seen.
