Description of Work: Fix my computer did an amazing job! Someone got access to my computer and I called them. They were able to set a time and fix my computer remotely. I didn’t have to bring it to them and they did not come to my home. They were extremely professional and reasonable. I would highly recommend them to anyone for computer repair or “tune ups”!

+ -1 moreMy appointment was confirmed by phone a day prior to my appointment. On the day of the appointment Yvonne called and let me know approximately the time that Carlos (technician) would arrive. He was right on time. He installed my new wireless computer and gave me instructions on how to reconnect the printer in case of a power surge and also gave me basic instructions about the printer such as changing the cartridges. He installed the Canon Software on my computer and verified that the printer worked with test copies. He also connected my iphone to the printer which is a very nice convenience. My computer was running poorly and Carlos cleaned the files up. The computer is running much better now and I'm enjoying this new printer. He worked for the entire hour. Very friendly, knowledgeable and professional service. I will definitely use this company again.

He communicated clearly in case I might not understand some of the more technical issues. He arrived a bit late because he had to take care of an emergency, but I was informed beforehand and therefore was not inconvenienced. For that reason I would still give him an A for punctuality.
Description of Work: Connect printer to wi-fi. Disable programs from pre-loading. Remove smart cookies. Configure email in Windows Live. Test laptop and printer, scan and print.

He took the time to answer all of my questions and made sure that I understood exactly how and why as he addressed my virus issues on my laptop. + -1 moreAs always, the service was excellent. The staff at FMCOS is extremely knowledgeable, professional, reliable, punctual and personable. And, they speak with me in terms that I can understand. They are patient and courteous and explain everything to my satisfaction and comfort level. It's always a pleasure to deal with Carlos and I rely heavily on his expertise and honesty. Carlos always leaves every appointment with me being a little more knowledgeable about all of my computer equipment. He's very helpful and happy to answer other computer related questions over and above what's covered in the routine maintenance appointment. For example, he showed me today where and how to order more memory for my computer, he also updated me on the new version of Windows that will be released soon, and saved me $179 and advised me that I do not need to update my version of QuickBooks. Thank you, Fix My Computer On Site - I appreciate you very much!
Description of Work: FMCOS has been my service provider for 5 or 6 years now. Today's visit was a maintenance visit and Carlos did the following: - Ran maintenance on my desktop. - Ran maintenance on my laptop. - Installed all available updates for both computers. - Removed all temporary files and smart cookies from both computers. - Verified and tested my printer connections. Carlos works quickly and does accurate work. He also can remote in to my computer when I need his service. I've worked with many computer repair services and the staff at FMCOS is fantastic. I know, like and trust them and refer them to everyone. It's difficult to find service providers that offer everything I expect in a company. FMCOS has it all and I know I'm in good hands.

+ -1 moreThis is the second time Carlos worked on this computer. It didn't work the day it was shipped to me.....hard drive was bad. He was subcontracted from Sony for on site repairs. Then one year later, I was lucky enough to remember his company name and called to make an appt. Yvonne answers the phone and does the scheduling. She was kind and professional. Carlos was running behind on my appt day but they called to let me know several hours before so it was no inconvenience (I actually was running late as well). He fixed my laptop and got me all connected. He explained a few things to me and was patient and clear when he explained them. Later that day, I had a question and called the office and Yvonne text Carlos to provide the answer. She also checked on me and my laptop the following week to make sure that I was completely satisfied and not experiencing any more issues. I was more than satisfied. I was thankful I remembered the company name to call them and will never forget it (programmed in my phone now). Customer service is excellent and expertise in repair is excellent. Computer issues can be so aggravating especially if you are reliant on your computer as much as I am being a Realtor.
Description of Work: My laptop had just stopped doing anything and it was 2 weeks out of warranty. Carlos came out to my office and got it running perfect. It was his suggestion that he work on it at my office since that is where I primarily use it. He wanted to make sure that before he left, I was able to wirelessly connect to the office internet and printer. I hadn't thought about that but it was the most logical thing to do,

I trust what Carlos recommends, as I also run my own gift basket business and I need my computer to be up and working for my business needs. Carlos was recommended to me from a friend, and I pass him along when every anyone needs the service.
Description of Work: Carlos cleaned up my Desk Top PC, and two others Lap Tops on this day. I was having problems with the "Blue Screen of Death"....I not seen this before. Carlos ran updates and did his "Magic" on all three computers this day. Our daughter is physically challenged and uses her computer a lot to communicate with friends... she does not know the clean up the computer... but Carlos takes and gets it going for her. He has replaced her key board as well. In addition, in April, Carlos upgrade my desk top to Windows 7... it is working great.. Ivonne calls to keep you posted on the arrival time for Carlos. My husband as well, had Carlos rebuild his lap top with Windows 7. We are more then please with the work which has been done. He always makes sure all is up and running before leaving.

They were knowledgeable and their prices were more than fair. They come to our home under $100 and fix what we need fixed. They must have been on time; otherwise I would have not been happy.
Description of Work: They did some work on my laptop. I had some issues with the hard drive; so they changed some settings, deleted some old files and just tried to speed it up a little bit.

+ -1 moreWe were having major problems with our computer. I couldn't even get through my emails without pop-ups and warnings and all kinds of weird stuff. I immediately called Carlos of Fix My Computer on Site because he had helped us with our computer before, and we were very pleased with his work. As soon as I described what was going on, he knew exactly what was wrong. We had a major virus. This time we set up an appointment for 9:00 am the following day. He called me promptly, and was able solve my problem remotely, without even having to come to my house. He found several viruses and malware. It took 3 hours for him to clear up all the isues and to get my computer running properly again. Carlos is extremely knowledgeable and professional. He not only fixes your computer, he explains what he's doing so that you understand what's going on too. He installs extra things so that your computer runs more efficiently and teaches some dos and donts as he goes along. On top of all this, you get a follow-up call a few days later from his wife Yvonne to personally make sure that you are satisfied and that everything is still running okay. I can't say enough about the excellent work that Carlos and Yvonne Moran do.

Description of Work: My Company was attacked by a virus that went through my expensive security system. This virus was slowly destroying my data programs and the partition of the computer system. It was evident it was time to invest into a new system. Unfortunately, our back up programs did not "back up" many of our company files. I called and scheduled Fix My Computer on Site for Monday. They arrived on time. Carlos went through the new system to insure everything was installed correctly and working like was suppose too. I mentioned that Quickbooks online back up program did not recover my 2012 company files and a portion of our 2011. I was relived to hear there was possibilty in recovering the data. Carlos indicated this could take up to a day or two, depending on the data. The same day of service, I received a call from Yvonne verifying our appointment and making sure the data the found was what I was needing. The next day as promised, Carlos connected this small, but amazing tool that had all our data that went back up to 3 years. I was very impressed in how much they were able to recover. I have used Fix My Computer on Site prior to this. Needed printer and quickbooks on a shared network, so we may able to hire for assistance with data entry. This was not an easy task with quickbooks program. Carlos had to spend close to 45 minutes with tech support in another country to grant him access and create a multi user on our network, because I did not dnot have an additional license.
