Very pleased with Nathan who worked with ume on the purchase and delivery.

I visited the showroom on 3 separate occasions and the sales associates never followed up with estimates. I also phoned the store requesting my estimate to be emailed at their earliest continence and to assure my contact information was correct. I specified the exact models for kitchen appliances and washer/dryer and still did not receive an estimate. Their treatment of customers is extremely unprofessional and I will gladly take my business elsewhere.

For the first time in our looking at mattresses, I felt that we were dealing with true professionals rather than high pressure salesmen .

That was about it. I do not recommend going to Famous Tates on Henderson for ANY appliance purchase, unless it is for a high end, or built in item, and even then I wouldn't recommend it, since I don't have experience with that, but basically they told me that is really what they do. The Salesman had basic knowledge about the two sizes of regular refrigerator, 33 inches and 35 inches wide, and why the smaller ones tend to be more expensive, but his value ends there. He showed them to me, and helped me measure them, but he has no information on any features of the items, to show me, or any advice to give me about what made one refrigerator different from another. Such as -- for the price, which one would be more quiet, or is a better quality, etc, more storage, for the money. No pros and cons whatsoever. Like -- this one has adjustable shelves, this one doesn't; lighting features, etc. How they perform. He said this -- if I wanted to know anything about these refrigerators, I could GOOGLE it. ??? I know that. Told me they do mainly high end built ins and don't have too many of the others. He only gave me specification sheets WHEN ASKED. They did not even have any basic square cubic feet posted on the refrigerators for easy viewing. Just price and model #. So if I am supposed to google it, why is he there? My repair person suggested Famous Tate. When I asked if they had more inventory at the Waters store, the salesman said no, that is mainly a warehouse, with scratch and dents, but I was welcome to go look. They do have good prices, but based on prior experience, I am afraid to buy from them. The salesman was condescending and unhelpful. I have no idea why my repair person would tell me to go there. I bought a dishwasher from them previously. It was a total lemon, and they were no help at all. In fact, they REFUSED to give me a number to contact the company, even. Am not stopping by here again. I didn't feel welcome, helped, or wanted as a customer.

Our first visit to this showroom was in July 2014 to purchase a dishwasher. Ron was our salesperson and seemed extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. We had gone in specifically to purchase a Bosch, which we had owned previously, and he went over the various options/features of these new models, one of which we purchased. We've had it close to two months now and have been extremely pleased with it. A couple of weeks ago we were looking to replace the "high efficiency" LG front loading washer and dryer that came with our newly purchased home. Although these were only 3-year old machines, we were most unhappy with the lack of water during wash, the extremely long wash cycles, the mold and mildew collection around the rubber gasket even though we followed preventive instructions exactly, etc. This was the second set of top-of-the-line high efficiency machines we've owned in less than 10 years and we were extremely unhappy with both (the first were Kenmore Elite, top-loading washer and dryer). I had already done a lot of internet research on machines and had decided on the Speed Queen. We do not have a dealer in our city, but were in a neighboring city where we stopped in to look at the models; they gave us a price, but didn't deliver to our town. We returned to Famous Tate and Ron, also in a neighboring town, but they deliver to our area. Once again Ron couldn't have been more helpful -- and honest re: my findings, good and bad, during my internet search. Their prices were slightly higher than what we were quoted at the other place, but I showed him the quote and they matched the price. We purchased the washer and dryer and thus far have done about 6 loads of laundry this first half-day of ownership, about half the time it took me to do the same quantity in my HE machines. They are fabulous! Can't thank Ron enough for all his help with all three of these appliances. We will be replacing all other household appliances in the next couple of years with a major house/kitchen renovation and we will certainly look to return to Ron at Famous Tate. I must add that they have a fabulous, very large showroom loaded with all brands and many models of appliances, including a huge variety of high-end appliances set up in mock kitchen settings. Well worth the drive!

It took almost a month before I received my appliances. They shipped my appliances to the wrong address and then they hired a side contractor to deliver them to me. Since that time I have had to make 2 or 3 service calls on the appliances. My oven is still not working correctly at this time. I will not use them again very poor service.

When we first arrived the staff was very helpful and friendly. We had time to look around the store and if we had any questions someone was there to help answer them. They helped us with our purchases quickly and were very knowledgeable. They recommended warranties and accessories but were not pushy about them. The prices were excellent and we would recommend them to our friends and family.

The refrigerator had to be serviced under the manufacturer's warranty within the first year. Luckily I had purchased the extended warranty for the refrigerator so when it broke down again, it was still under warranty. When I complained to the store they apologized and that was it. They are nice, but appliances should be durable and last longer than this. I do my own research now and no longer take the advice of salespeople. I no longer shop at Famous Tate's either.

The microwave delivered and installed did not have the features of the model on display at the store. I did not notice untill the microwave was installed. I returned to the store and asked that the model on display be dilivered and installed. They delivered the correct model, installed at no extra cost, and promised to refund the difference in the cost of the two models. They said they would credit to my credit card, but I have not recieved my latest statement to see if the credit (approx $50) has been applied.

Do use them

They are definitely very responsive and a great company to work with. We buy appliances from there. We have a builder rep there. We have worked with him many times over the years. He is very knowledgeable and understands our business. He doesn’t try to oversell things to customers. He makes everybody feel good about what they are buying. He also knows the features of the appliances and how they work.

They didn’t install the house and kitchen appliances. I must have spent some $10000 on them. They were very good. They were very helpful all the way through. They were very nice, very attentive, and very informative. I will definitely shop with them again in the future.

Fantastic. Arrived on time. Removed old dryer and installed new all within 30 minutes.

The service was excellent. They had a good selection of quality products in their showroom. They made the delivery convenient and took my old dryer with them. They also installed the dryer and put a new vent and cord on it.
