The painters were on time, neat, quiet and quick. They worked hard and were clearly professionals. The price paid for the amount of work done was fantastic. The quality of work was very good.
Description of Work: Two bedrooms, a front door (outside only) with small panes and a small wall insert were completed in the one day/two painters "big deal." We provided the paint.

On day 1, 2 painters were sent. They were a little late arriving, however they could not work for another half hour or so since they had to wait for the materials. During the course of the day, we noticed that the men kept going in and out of the house. One of the painters explained that the other man was 'sick' and had to go outside to not make a mess in the bathroom. The men left approximately 3:00pm indicating they completed their portion of the work, which was to prime the wallpaper to prepare for the wallboard man to put the orange peal texture over it. On day 2, the wallboard man arrived, looked at the condition of the wall and confirmed our suspicion that the wallboard was not ready to be texturized. Some areas had been missed, some were pealing and some had the wallpaper bubble up. The wallboard man contacted Mike to tell him the walls were not ready for him to do his work. Mike came later that day and verified that there was a problem and he indicated he would send someone else to fix what had been done incorrectly. During that visit, I tried to get a firm estimate of the work to be done outside the Big Deal that was purchased and Mike would not give a price or estimate. Uncomfortable with proceeding without a fixed price, I told Mike we would hire a wallboard person ourselves and call him back to paint the bathroom after the wallboard was ready. He agreed to paint it as part of the big deal and would not charge for the work that done incorrectly on day 1. On day 3, we had a wallboard man come to the house to start fixing the problem. The wallboard found a small bottle of wine in the supply bucket - left over from the first crew. I sent a couple of emails to Enos Executive Painters, asking that they schedule the work to paint the bathroom. There was no replay to the emails. I placed a phone call and left a voice message on a Monday and received a call back from Mike indicating I would get a call back from his wife later that week with a date. I did not receive a call from her that week, but the following week, my husband called Mike again and he was able to get the work scheduled shortly after that. The painters came on the scheduled date/time and worked diligently until they completed the work at 3:30pm. Before leaving they asked my husband to look at the work to verify all was OK. My husband confirmed. Lessons learned: - Do not paint over wallpaper - the 2 wallboard people we spoke with indicated that was a last resort and not a best practice. I should have hired a wallpaper person to remove the wallpaper prior to the painters coming in. - The problem with buying '2 painters for a day' without having a prior estimate of the job is that you do not know how much it will cost if the job takes longer than the 8 hours and at that point the project is already underway. I will not purchase this type of 'deal' again. I gave an overall rate of a C because they did a good job with the actual painting, but the recommended approach of painting over wallpaper was less than satisfactory.
Description of Work: I purchased Angie's list deal of 2 painters for 8 hours to paint the ceiling in 2 rooms. After discussing with Mile Enos the work to be done I asked if remaining time could be applied to painting the master bath. The master bathroom had wallpaper; I asked that it be removed and the walls painted. Mike indicated that the wall paper would come off in small pieces since it was still adhered so well. His recommendation was to not remove the wall paper and just apply a sealer and then paint over it. He was confident that approach would work well and be the least costly.

There was no onsite consultation, all contact was done via email. The first appointment to pressure wash was missed. The painting was completed in one day. The walls were done well, the detail areas around doors/windows were sloppy/missed in several places. In a couple areas, the pressure washing did not completely remove the old flaking paint, and you can still see this flaking underneath the new paint; fortunately this was in less visible areas. There was some cleanup to be done afterward, such as reconnect hoses, pick up empty tape spool, restore doorbell. The job was good, but not excellent.

A final walk around is always completed with the home owner to make certain the job is done to thier satisfaction but this homeowner did not want to and stated that it looked good to her. I hope everything is to your satisfaction and you are pleased . Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns or if there is anything else we can do. Thank you again and we hope that you keep us in mind for your future painting needs. After purchasing the deal I scheduled an appointment to have the house looked at in a reasonable length of time, then scheduled the job after repairs were made to the wooden areas. The guys pressure washed one day, then painted the next. The workers were professional and followed my wishes to not paint some areas. They covered areas not to be painted well so there is no overspray.

I purchased the $1499 Big Deal for house painting, including paint on November 6, 2012. On November 9th, I was contacted by Enos Executive Painting via email, confirming the Big Deal Purchase. Because it took 3 months for the actual painting to come to fruition, some of these dates are approximate. In mid-November, we scheduled an estimate appointment for November 27th. After waiting an hour or so past the appointment time, I called and was told that dispatch had dropped the ball (with apologies) and would tomorrow (November 28th) be okay? On the 28th, Mike Enos (owner/operator) showed up on time, blaming his wife for mishandling the schedule. As a former military man, this doesn't sit well with me (passing the blame along)... be that as it may. My house is pretty large... 2890 square feet, not including the 3 car garage, so I didn't really expect that they would do the entire house for $1499. Mike thought that to paint the house in the same two colors would be an additional $1700 dollars. I did not think this was unreasonable so I accepted the estimate. Mike indicated that he'd received an overwhelming response from the Angie's List Big Deal and that it would probably be early January before the painting would be scheduled. We agreed upon January 21st. Leading up to that date, Mike asked for the color names, numbers and manufacturer for the two colors. I responded that the home hadn't been painted since I purchased it and did not have that information. At some point, prior to January 21st, Mike brought by a couple of paint samples that were a medium-dark grey and an off-white with a trace of greyish tint. We agreed that these colors matched the existing colors exactly. Somehow January 21st got pushed back to the 28th, possibly due to my road schedule so on January 25th or 26th, the pressure washers came by and cleaned the house, sealing the windows and gaps with caulk. On Sunday, January 27th, I received an email from Mike Enos stating that the catalytic converter on his truck had broken and he would be unable to paint on the 28th. He asked for and I provided dates in February when I would be available. The dates I provided were February 6, 7, 9, and 11. When I returned from my road trip on February 5th, I still hadn't heard which of the dates he'd chosen to paint. I left a voice mail asking which date the painting would be since I'd have to be home... he called on February 6th to tell me the painting would commence on February 7th (not much lead time for me). On the morning of February 7th, the painting crew (sans Mike Enos) showed at about 8:40 AM and began to tape over the windows, doors, coach lamps, etc. Once they began painting, I was pretty much relegated to staying inside. I could not see out because of the aforementioned plastic barriers over all the windows and doors. After 5 hours, I heard a knock on the front door; the plastic had been removed so I opened the door. One of the painters was asking if he could prop the door open so he could paint the edges. I told him that was fine but as I looked out at the rest of the house, I was surprised to see that the entire house had been painted one color... dark grey! I asked if he knew that the home was supposed to be painted two colors; he did not! I showed him the swatches Mike had given me and he turned pale and started making phone calls. They acknowledged their mistake and left for the paint store while I had to bring up photos on Google Map to discern which portions of the house were med-dark grey and which were off white. After we marked the parts of the house that had to be repainted (about 75 - 80%), I had to leave for a business meeting. They finished up on Friday, February 8th. We completed the walk-around and everything was acceptable. I guess that I should be happy that the house received two coats of paint but overall, this does not speak well of an efficient, professional, or well-run company. For these reasons, I cannot recommend this vendor to others.
Description of Work: They pressure washed and caulked the windows and gaps. They painted about a week and a half later. The finished product was okay but you need to read the detailed description below to understand the circuitous route to the end product. The fact that this particular company seemed overwhelmed by the ensuing volume of the Angie's List Big Deal makes me skeptical about Big Deals in the future.

It was worth hiring a painter because he knew what should be done in the rooms where we had removed the wallpaper. There was a varied amount of glue residue left and each room required something a little different in terms of prep. It was easy to have him in the house.; he worked quietly and efficiently. He was very accommodating to what I wanted. Overall, I am very happy with Enos Painting and the job they did on my interior and exterior.
Description of Work: I got the Big Deal on Angie's List and like Enos Painting enough that I decided to have them do some more work. Of course, when you start painting inside the house, the unpainted stuff looks bad, so I just kept going. I ended up with Sebastian painting pretty much all of my interior and some wood siding around my pool area outside. He did a great job. He worked quickly but yet took the time to prep everything very carefully. He did three bedrooms all at once and took an entire day to prep them because I had removed some wallpaper on a few of the walls.

We bought the Big Deal through Angie's List with Enos Executive Painting with intentions on having our house painted. I scheduled the initail appt with Mike (owner). He showed up as scheduled and provided us with recommendations, which we gladly took. We scheduled the powerwash for one day and painting for the next. Mike's wife called us a week early, stating that they were finished early with a job in our area and asked if they could go ahead and conduct the powerwashing and paint the next day. The crew showed up and prepped the house for painting. Mike showed up both days to ensure everything was going as expected. We are very happy with the work that his crews did and would definitely use them again if needed and recommend his company to friends.

Mike was good at communicating and scheduling time. The work was efficient and nicely done. The house looks great. The only surprise was that for some reason a couple of the exterior doors were painted the color of the house instead of the color of the trim. They were originally the color of the trim. I would definitely use them again but would confirm details such as the doors.

Well done job with very good flexibility with regard to schedule. Only comment would be that the pressure washing wore away some of the trim material, which had to be replaced with a separate job. This was done with a contractor referred by Enos. This work was also done very well, though contractor needed assistance in finding a source of replacement material. It would have been nice if the contractor used for power washing had called or left a note about the dislodged material, so that the situation could have been addressed sooner. The trim material was part of the original house construction and codes have since been upgraded to prevent the use of this fiber board material. This issue was not the fault of Enos.

They did a FANTASTIC job!! So much so that we have hired them to paint the outside of our home as well as our living room and dining room. Their bid for painting the exterior came in $900 less than other bids and the quality of work has been proven excellent!! Their attention to detail and focus on cleanliness and thoroughness resulted in a job near perfect. We recommend Enos Painting for any painting needs!!!

Description of Work: I paid the $1499. before I could get details which is not good business. I needed the job done in December 2012; however, he could not do it until the end of January 2013. It was a hassle getting my money back. I will never pay in advance again until I can talk to the contractor and dates are finalized. I took a risk but just thankful my money was returned. This could have been avoided if I could have talked to the contractor before having to pay first for the "BIG DEAL"

The reason I gave them a lower score on punctuality was that the 2 painters were scheduled to be on site at 9 am. At 8:45 my wife called to see if they were running on time. She found out that we were not on the schedule but to there credit they did not try to give her excuses they quickly had people in route to do the job and added a third man to help finish the job. I would use them again

I purchased the "Big deal" which included 2 painters for 8 hours for $399. I had begun painting the outside of my house and didn't finish the trim or very high points. Enos Painting sent two painters. They met with me initially and we talked about the project. The painter I spoke with was very helpful and seemed very knowledgable on the topic. He was friendly and seemed to take a lot of pride in making sure that the job was done well. Overall, I am very happy with the outcome. Overall, excellent experience. Prior to the painters arrival we had prepped the areas to paint with painters tape and drop cloths so we could have the painters focus on painting. Three painters arrived instead of two which means they finished sooner than 7 hours and that truly was a plus for us. Enos applied two coats of paint to the ceilings and walls in three good sized bedrooms. Enos also painted the trim in all three bedrooms. The painters cut in around areas that had hooks for shelving in the closets where we had not applied painters tape. This was a GREAT experience. The painters were professional and gave us helpful hints for future painting. They even cleaned up all the prep tape and drop cloths from the bedrooms before they left. We are very happy. Would use Enos again! A side note: We called Enos to schedule painting early in December knowing that is was highly likely that we had missed a window of opportunity to get Enos in to paint in December. Mr. Enos and his wife worked with us (and we were very flexible) to get his painters into our home to get the work done. Enos went above and beyond to help us get this painting done. Greatly appreciate Enos Executive Painting!

Two fellows, Joe Nunez and his assistant Jamarcus ( "Jay") arrived as scheduled and plunged right in painting the exterior of our house. I didn't expect them to finish the whole house in seven hours, but I was pleased at how much they did accomplish. I found Joe to be a hard worker, and an accommodating one, and I like the quality of his work as well. At one point, Joe told Jay to finish some trim in the front , and to make sure he masked the area for neatness. Joe went to the back to work there. Jay did not mask, and made a bit of a mess. Upon discovering this, Joe went to work cleaning the area. I learned that it was Jay's first day, and would be surprised if it wasn't also his last. Bottom line: I would hire Joe again in a heart-beat, but I'd ask for his assurance that anyone he had helping him had proven himself.

First I purchased a coupoun from Angie's list and no where on the coupon did it state that it was for the interior only so I was stuck with using ENOS because I had the coupon and they would not honor it for the exterior. Mike Enos came over and gave us a contract for $1,900. When we finally decided on the paint and the day we called to set up a date, but could not get them to return the call. We wanted a certain type of paint to be used and wanted to confirm. Without confirming he showed up on Monday to pressure wash the house and after he washed the house he then called to confirm that it was OK to paint the next day I have to say the guys that painted the house were very good and easy to work with, however when the job was completed Mike came over and told us that instead of $1,900 the job was actaully $2,300 and he had made a mistake on the estimate. It had been over a month since he gave us quote and we had put a deposit down and he did not realize that he made a mistake until the job was complete. Sorry, but this was a contract and he should have honored the contract regardless of he had made a mistake. When they left the painters were suppose to return the next day to complete the front door as it needed to dry before they could put the second coat on, however they never showed up. We were out of town and it took us getting back and calling them before they came back to finish the job. I would not use them again as I do not trust contractors that do not honor there word. He did say that he would give my daughter an extra painter since we bought 2 coupons, however this does not help me since she paid for her own paint job.

This was an approx. 2800 squ ft exterior paint job, home owner purchased 2 painters for a day for $399.00. The contract was for $2,300.00 minus the coupon of $399.00 which the home owner would be responsible for the remaining $1,900.00. Instead of 2 painters for a day, there was 6 painters at the job. The contract did not include the front door, but home owner purchased gel stain on the day of the painting so I included it for free, which required us to come back after job was complete to apply another coat as well as a clear coat. Also, a screened in 3 season porch was added to the home where we had to treat as an interior room, taking more time and detail. Home owner was going to purchase A100 paint from SherwinWilliams and I recommended a high grade paint of Super Paint which will last longer and weather better at no additional charge. Home owner purchased 2 coupons and was thinking of using both for their exterior but decided to use one for their daughters house and I OFFERED to ad an additional painter for free for that job. After the Job was complete and finalized, I was handed a check by the husband thanking me for another wonderful job , since this was the second time we painted their house . We always try to go above beyond our way to make our customers happy.

Mr. Enos contacted me immediately by email after purchasing the painting special. He and his wife came out to the house to provide us an estimate of time and amount of paint. Due to the amount of space we wanted painted, Mr. Enos suggested we pay for an additional painter for the 7 hours. We had to reschedule our date to paint due to an unforseen conflict. When I requested a date to reschedule Mr. Enos was unaware of our previous appointment. I refreshed his memory and we had everything squared away. He was supposed to notify us of the amount of paint we needed to purchase, however, never did so. I did go purchase the paint and spent approximately $300-$400 on top of the $550 for labor. In addition, we never received a reminder call about our painting job, so I had to call to verify that we were still scheduled. The painters arrived more than an hour late, took at least an hour lunch break and left. Overall, they may have been here for 6 hours, not the total of 7. I was at work during the day, but my husband was present while the work was done. I'm not sure the level of professionalism that was displayed in his presence. For the most part the painting looks good, with some dripped paint in a few places on our granite, kitchen knobs, and molding. We will likely have to repaint the molding in places to cover that up. While I am happy to have the house painted in most of the areas we needed done, my husband and I decided to paint the rest of the walls ourselves rather than spend the money on somewhat-professional painters.

Response from ENOS EXECUTIVE PAINTING
We had a set date and customer emailed asking to reschedule because they hadn't picked their colors yet, so we rearranged our schedule to accommodate them. at that time we explained to them that 1 gallon of paint covers approx. 350 squ ft. and we could pass on our 50% discount on paint to them since they were a customer of ours, which paint is not included in the coupon that was purchased through Angie's list. I apologized for running late due to an accident causing the highway to be shut down that morning. We added an additional painter because the homeowner wanted to take work off to be there during the painting and wanted to have it completed in one day. If ever there is a problem, even if it is one drip of paint some where, please call we will always come back to take care of anything.
