Good at getting 85% of job done, but finish work and details are lacking. He never returned to complete the work and when I followed up -- he cited a health issue for not being able to complete the job. I hire a handyman to help make my life easier not harder. Not going to chase someone down and throw good money after bad.

Called him to get an estimate but got no answer, left a voice mail. He never returned my call, maybe he's too busy. I guess its better to find out now than in the middle of a job.

Did not go well. We had water leaking, what we believed was from the roof into our home's front wall and under our wood floors. We needed someone quick before it rained again. Originally called him and set up a time for two days later. then he called back to reschedule for days later. after communicating back and forth to come up with an early agreeable date for the two of us, left it open to him and he did not call back. Other than that I cannot say anything positive or negative.

David did an excellent job and I would certainly hire him again in the future.

While scheduling Dave may be difficult at times, his workmanship is first-rate and his prices reasonable. If you need it done yesterday, Dave is probably not your man. If you can afford to wait until he's available, he's about as good as they come. I cannot recommend anyone higher than Dave!

Though we received an estimate on the expected schedule, David did not show up to perform the work on the agreed upon date. We rescheduled for another date -- and again, David did not show up at all. My husband initiated phone contact with David both times we were "stood up" -- though we never received an explanation as to why David was MIA. Have contracted work to another service at this time.

1. Exterior door - He did a good job of advising that the application of the material was not advisable in the cold weather. He did a poor job with preparation of the trim area. He did not adequately remove the chipped and loose paint. He did very limited sanding and this job was overpriced for the amount of work performed. 2. Window seat and door. He created a plywood door only. I requested a finished door that would match my kitchen cabinets. The hinges used did not create a door that was stable. After my request, he covered the door with the laminate materials. Poor quality and very disappointing results. He installed the laminate for the window area and quarter round trim. The joints did not match. I requested a re-do. Very disappointed in the quality 3. Replace sills with Hardie materials. This task was fine.

David arrived promptly on the scheduled day and explained to me exactly what he was going to do to replace the gate to the backyard. He worked on building a new gate from scratch and narrowing the gate opening so the weight of the gate door would not cause it to sag.. The gate looks great-we couldn't ask for better workmanship. He also changed the door knobs to four doors. The first three were easy going but we live in an old house with steel door frames and the fourth would not fit. He worked for nearly an hour customizing the door opening and hardware to make it fit and it now works beautifully.

It could not have gone better. We called 3 companies on Angie's List to get estimates. The first one, whose name I won't give, was very pleasant until I said it is a manufactured home...then she got quite snotty saying "we don't work on mobile homes". The second one came and gave us an estimate...over 5 times as much as David's quote!! David was professional, and the work was very good. Evidently my husband forgot to tell him we needed a new vent hood installed. And to top it off, the installation was a bear! But David stuck with it and did a great job. The arched window is superb and you would have thought it came with the home. We highly recommend David and will use him again if the need arises.

He told me his charge on phone that it would be 50.00 dollars and when he came he charged me 80.00 and the explanation he gave was that I had to go to the store and buy the right tools for it. So I said that fixing things require tools and you bought them and you own them now, You took those tools and they are your personal property so why charge me for this. He was rude and not at all professional. I will not recommend him. kaly Derasari

We called Mr. Rodriguez. He came out inspected what had to be done and gave us an estimate. We agreed on a date and time. It's been our experience in the past that contractors just show up when they want to. Mr. Rodriguez however showed up on time and got right to work.. He pumped the sagging floor back up and braced it up so it wouldn't happen again. He did a great job and we couldn't be happier.

My experience has been very dissatisfying so far. He started the job. We have paid him in two separate installments already. He has since left the job incomplete and is now unreachable. I have made several attempts to contact this service provider and I have yet to hear back from him. His communication skills are poor and unprofessional.

David was magic--he took the door off found the problem and reset the door hinges and fixed the bottom connection plate and it works better than before and in less than 1 hour. Now the door works wonderfully.

He was fast and very professional. On time, very quiet, but told us everything we needed to know.

He was very quick to respond. He came out and he did the work. He was very helpful with getting done what I needed to get done. His price was exceptionally reasonable. His price was probably about $200 less than the repair person that I had. He told me that it was a 10-minute repair. Somebody wanted to charge me $250 to come out and do it. He was going to charge me $50 to come and do it. It was an amazing difference. It was great to work with him.

I was looking on Angie's list for someone who could build a shed for my partner and me. I noticed "David Rodriguez Home Repairs" on the list of able contractors so I called him and left a message. He returned my call the same day - I was impressed. David was kind enough to provide a date to meet but I needed to consult my partner before making any commitments as to date and time for a face to face consultation. Unfortunately, I got sick and have not been able to make any commitments for work at this time.

He is not properly licensed to do the work he did. He did not pre-drill according to instructions. There are not enough shims. He did not use screws where he was supposed to. He used staples. He did not follow instructions for the warranty on the door. He used foam insulation instead of fiberglass, so it’s putting pressure on the frame. Water has been going under the threshold and into the sub-floor. The door is not flush with the frame. I was mis-lead with the permitting. He left a message and said that a permit was not needed for the work. But I checked and a permit was needed. In the contract it stated that it had to be 1x4 in the trim, and he did not put that on. I did not approve of the molding he used. The work was also messy, everywhere he caulked was messy.

David did a fantastic job. We set the appointment about three weeks ago, he called the day before service to confirm the appointment. The day of the appointment he was on time and ready to go. He did a fantastic job! He even repaired a small section of ceiling affected by the escaping steam that I had missed, he saw it and fixed it. I highly reccomend David to anyone needing work done. He is honest, personable and he will not take a job he can't do correctly, which impresses me!

Went well. David is punctual and we assume the work will hold over time. At one point he was a bit rude to my husband but quickly apologized.

He was on time. He did everything I asked. He was a pleasure to work with and I am looking forward to working with him in the future.

It was very reasonable. He was very professional and very nice.

Did a great job and saved me $$ with me not having to replace the ceiling fan. He was able to PROPERLY install it and it works great!

David replaced rotted cedar roof supports with white structural aluminum posts. David suggested the aluminum posts as an alternative to wood when he came for the estimate. They give the area a much "cleaner" look than the wood 4 X 4's. David was prompt, personable and extremely capable and professional. I couldn't be more satisfied and look forward to having David back should the need arise.

When I first contacted Mr. Rodriguez to come and give me an estimate on having some work done in our home, he advised me that it would be approximately a month before he would be able to do the work due to his busy schedule. I advised him that would be ok and he came out and looked at what needed to be done. I had my list made up and took him room by room and showed him what we needed to have done. This is an older home and I advised him at that time that the ceilings had not been painted in years maybe once or twice since it was built in 1958. There was only a few things on my list that he did not want to fool with and he gave me a quote of $695. I discussed with my brothers first and we agreed to go with his quote. Mr. Rodriguez came out the end of May to start working on our house. Me & my brothers were very disappointed in the way the ceilings turned out. I had told him that the stains on the living room ceiling was probably nicotine where my mother sat and smoked for years. Instead of him painting it first with kilz then ceiling paint,, he just painted it once with ceiling paint and of course the nicotine bleed through the paint. When he came back the next day I showed him what happened and he did paint it again, however you can see the outline where he trimmed first, then when he rolled the paint on with a roller he did not overlap close enough to the walls and there is a distinct border showing on the ceilings. All three ceilings are like that and I will have to try and blend it in myself. There was also a incident with the hot water heater. He had disconnected the wiring to put the conduit on the power line, but when he reconnected the wiring he must have left a wire loose and it caused an ark and melted the wire nuts. I noticed an awful smell coming from the closet like something burning. I called Mr. Rodriguez and he came by the same day and just kept saying that this was not suppose to happen. My brother had told me what he thought was wrong and I relayed that to Mr. Rodriguez as we never had problems before with this hot water heater. He fixed it and told me to call him back if it happened again. He did do a good job on the drywall repairs. I was going to have him come back to hang three interior doors, but I was afraid that he would not do a good job so we have hired someone else to do that.

David was worth the wait, he is booked several weeks in advance (says how good he is). He was knowledgeable, and was willing to explain what he was doing. He was punctual and took care to protect my property while he worked. He was friendly and easy to talk to. I would recommend him to anyone! I already have projects down the road he has quoted, so he will be back!
