Citrus Park Lawn Care

Citrus Park Lawn Care has been my landscaping service for many years. Recently, the company is under new ownership and I am VERY pleased with their service. My property is muddy along the sides, so it's often difficult to get the riding mower to the backyard. In the past, I've been resigned to having the backyard not mowed until the sides dried out. However, I was so surprised that Citrus Park Lawn Care just assumed they would mow the back using the push mower. I didn't expect that, and it really says a lot about their work ethic that they just go ahead and do what's required, even if it takes more time. The crew pays attention to every detail, and my property looks better than ever.

Good service! I've used them for about a year now.

Work is mostly okay, although damaged sprinklers and pool pump have been a problem in the past.

I signed up with Denis about 4 years indicating to him that my husband and I were looking for a long-term relationship with whom we could trust to do our yard work. His crew provided quality work during that time period with just a couple of issues which Denis tried to rectify as quickly as he could. HOWEVER, on April 1st of this year - just at the beginning of grass growing season, he sent us a letter that his service would be stopped immediately (no 30-day notice) and he gave us another number to call. We had been faithful and good paying customers for the past 4 years and I feel that this is a lack of professionalism on his part to cut us off without any 30-day notice. I understand that his business has grown and he wants to be in the more lucrative neighborhoods, but I do feel that he should have provided a 30-day notice or gave us this letter in January when yard services were not needed as much .

We are new to the area, and moved into our home about a month ago. I blindly called around and received estimates from 3 separate lawn maintenance companies. Citrus Park was not the least expensive; however, I appreciated their one-stop shop that includes lawn care and pest control. After meeting Doug and Luke I am glad we went with Citrus Park. They are extremely knowledgeable about the fickleness of a St. Augustine lawn, not to mention, they did a fantastic job cleaning up a yard that was severely neglected by the previous owners. I have not pulled the trigger yet because I'm not sure what I want, but I will definitely retain Citrus Park to do a substantial overhaul of our yard.

They did a good job. They did all right but they missed one sprinkler so I have to call them back. I think their price was reasonable. It wasn't expensive and it wasn't cheap.

We still use them. They do a really nice job. They come on a weekly basis. They are efficient and very responsive to requests. If we say hey this week we want you to do XY and Z they always do it. Even if I step out while they are in the middle of cutting our grass they will stop and do whatever I ask them to do. Can you cut the hedge this week, oh yea sure. We had them fix one of our sprinklers, they do a very good job. They are always friendly and quick.

Overall looking at their quality work I can judge you on that. Their prices were very reasonable. My only thing is I think they cut the grass too short. I think they are killing some of my neighbor's grass. They cut many of our neighbors in our area and some of their grass looks great and others look like, some aren't as evenly plotted. They are cutting it too short. They cut our direct neighbor's too short and I was whoa, whoa, whoa, that's affecting our grass.

The one time landscaping job - I will echo what another reviewer said. Doug is awesome and absolutely does make you feel like his only client. He is patient, helpful and knowledgeable. A+ and hope to do a bit more work in the future. The weekly service meets expectations. I have a rather annoying backyard property where just the edges are maintained (outside the pool enclosure) and getting around it can be a hassle, so I appreciate when they do trim up my crazy confederate jasmine. Another bonus with the weekly service we have is that they trim our all of our trees. They aren't incredibly high, but it is a huge plus not to have a separate tree service contract. The only semi-negative isn't really an issue, but it seems the start time on my house is now 8am. eee! Not a big deal but sometimes it just feels so early! I expect the mower noises and whatnot, but the shouting to each other at those earlier times - I sort of feel bad for my neighbors :P All in all - I would definitely recommend this company to friends and neighbors, and am happy to stick with them for the foreseeable future.

I would have used their services, but they do not service Pinellas County. If I would need service in Hillsborough County, then I would definitely call them again!

no work, Never worked on my yard, just talked on phone, But not sure if it was a coincidence that I told him how bad my vines are, because the person I did hire never pulled them, only what they could see. Thats not what I saw. Citrus Park Lawn Care needs to be specific about area they go too. Did nothing wrong, never did work, just not good information he listed.

Both times I was very pleased with the service. Very professional and took the tasks serious. With the landscapre rock removal, I was impressed with the job they did. It was a tedious quest, They completed it beyond expectations.

This is the contractor that was maintaining the yard when I purchased last year. Denis is very friendly and responsive but I think their equipment has grown too large for this property due to same mowing pattern and ruts beginning to form. Also frequency of trimming shrubs seems a little less often than needed.

They do a really nice job on our yard. We asked that they keep our grass a certain height due to a few spots that had been repeatedly scalped by anther company and they remember every time they come. I like that they're in uniform and it's not a strange group of men in dirty clothes walking around the house. Very professional - answer phone calls and emails promptly.

Very pleased. The ONLY company we contacted that seemed genuinely interested in doing residential landscaping. Most others either failed to respond in a timely manner or could not accomodate our schedule because they had bigger (commercial) jobs. Doug (at Citrus Park Lawn Care) however seemed happy to do the job and spent hours designing a layout to meet our expectations. Treated us like we were his only customers. Performed the work with his team as if he was ladscaping his own house. Was patient and paid close attention to every detail. Provided great feedback and suggested cost-saving alternatives. Communication and responsiveness was excellent. Phone calls, emails and text messages were prompt and exchanged directly. The fleet of vehicles and trailers are CLEAN. Workers are courteous and tidy. No trails of dirt or mud. No loose equipment laying around. Work was completed on time and looks great. Monthly lawn service includes landscape maintenance and the rate is cheaper than what I was paying for basic mowing service previously.

Denis promised that he would be the one to manage the property (actually performing the service) and indicated that would be constant as long as this compnay was providing our service. Eventually, Denis stopped coming to the property and the service provided by his crew detiorated over time. We made several attempts to set expectations, for the service that Denis personally agreed to, but we were unsuccessful and hired another landscaping company.

During the winter months they come twice a month and from April through November they come weekly.

We have been using Citrus Park Lawn Care for several years. Denis and his crew always do an excellent job. They trim the hedges, handles the weeds, as well as provide lawn cutting services. Our yard always looks great. Several times, we have also hired them to trim our large palm tree in the backyard which they always do an excellent job. And we have hired them several times for power washing. And they do a terrific job. Two years ago, several of our plants were damaged in the freezing weather. Denis knew exactly when was the best time to trim them back in order to save them, which he did and they look terrific today. If we need references for similar businesses, ie for our sprinkler system, Denis provides references for our use. We see him as a partner with us making our front of our home look beautiful.

Citrus Park Lawn Care is top notch. They have been taking care of my lawn and landscaping for a year and a half and I am very happy with their work. My yard looks fantastic all of the time. Denis (owner) is professional and responds quickly to everything ask for and more. They take time to mow my small backyard by hand when it's muddy so the grass isn't torn up from the mowers. This happens often since my yard borders wetlands. These guys are friendly, approachable and continuously exceed my expectations. One thing I've learned is that landscaping appearance is subjective. The hedges were well trimmed but a bit taller than I wanted. I asked them to shorten them and they did. They've been the perfect height since. The crew can't know I'd like my hedges shorter unless I let them know. Denis and his crew are patient and have done a great job answering questions and explaining things to me. In addition to ongoing care, they replace my mulch and have added plants in the spring. There is an extra charge but it's reasonable. Denis and both crews provide excellent lawn care service at a reasonable price.

Citrus Park Lawn Care has been doing my yard for almost 2 years now. I've never had another lawn care company, so I really don't have anything to compare them to. That's the main reason I gave them a B on price and responsiveness -- I don't know what other lawn care services charge or how responsive they are. Overall, I've been satisfied with them. My only complaints are that they almost always mow my grass too early in the morning when it's still wet, which makes it come out kind of raggedy, plus they do my lawn on Monday or Tuesday, when I would prefer Thursday or Friday. I like the fact that they use a mulching mower that cuts the grass into small pieces and spreads it around.

Great job on 2 days notice. This was a one time rush job so the price I paid was more than if I was a regular customer.

Denis Perry came out and fertilized the yard. Appeared on time. Not only did he do the the work he was hired for, but went over and above and edged my yard and pulled weeds. He finished by blowing off the sidewalks of any residue from the fertilization. Thanks Denis -- Dave M.
