Description of Work: I replaced the sink in my laundry which required that the existing pipes be cut and capped when the old sink was removed. About 3 weeks later, after the new cabinet had been installed, the plumber (Bobby) returned, installed the sink and new faucet and reconnected the pipes. The scheduler in the office was very helpful with this two-step process and the same plumber was assigned both times which was reassuring. I purchased an Angie's List coupon and saved $85. | |I've used Chuck's Plumbing before and I have always been very happy with their service and their work.

Description of Work: Called company first to explain that I wanted 2 faucets installed for $200 deal for $115.00 today. Purchased the coupon. I already purchased the new faucets. Plumber came out said it would cost $440. Told them I did not want work done. If a service charge is expected to be paid it should be on the coupon. It is not on the coupon purchased. Thank you.

Thank you for writing a review. When you purchase a coupon we receive a message from Angie's List and have 48 hours to contact the member. As soon as possible we send a message to the member explaining how to schedule a service visit. We the member calls in to schedule the visit, and yes we prefer to schedule the visit over the phone, we explain that unless you have purchase a coupon for a stated item like a water heater flush or a new toilet there is a $29 dispatch fee. For this small dispatch fee the technician will examine your plumbing issue and give you a guaranteed price for the services. If you agree the technician normally can preform the tasks on that visit. If you do not agree you can contact Angie's List for a full refund of your coupon purchase, you only have to pay the $29 to Chuck's Plumbing and you will have received a professional diagnostics of your issue from a clean, well manured and well trained plumber. Description of Work: I spoke with the customer service representative for Chuck's Plumbing twice. The first call was to check if Chuck's Plumbing would honor their special coupon on a rental property. The CSR said the company would. I also requested an estimate for the work to be performed. The CSR said a plumber would have to come out to my property. I told her that was fine and that I would move forward and buy the discounted voucher. I purchased the "$115 for $200 worth of plumbing service" offer. 96 hours passed and I never heard from Chuck's Plumbing. No big deal. So, I made my second call (spoke with the same CSR) to Chuck's Plumbing. I asked if I could schedule my appointment for the plumbing estimate. The CSR asked for the name and phone number of my tenants. I explained that I will meet the plumber at the address provided and that I cannot give her this confidential information. I am the owner and I will be the one paying for the work performed. The CSR told me that Chuck's Plumbing could not provide service if I would not give her the contact information for my tenants. In 20+ years of property management, this has never been a requirement for any service - ever. The CSR told me that I needed to contact Angie's List directly to refund my payment. At this point, I didn't even ask for a refund. I was hoping to resolve this issue with the CSR or perhaps speak to someone else in the company. However, it was clear the CSR did not want to work this out and told me that Chuck's Plumbing couldn't help me. I did receive an email from Chuck's Plumbing on 8/4/15 requesting to schedule my appointment. However, this was after I was told by the CSR that Chuck's Plumbing could not provide service. Perhaps, a loss in communication within the company. From the reviews, it appears most are very happy with the service received by the plumbers at Chuck's Plumbing. Maybe I would have been too. However, my experience with the CSR prevented me from ever knowing.

I am disappointed that you did not have an A rated experience with Chuck's Plumbing. It is the customer service representative's (CSR) job to take your information and guide you through scheduling a visit. We have rules about rental property and one is no coupons for them. Discounts are for owner occupied properties. A rental property is a business. Another rule is we have to contact the tenant to tell them we are coming to their home.I talked to the CSR and she said you kept insisting, so she tried to help you with your plumbing issue. When you purchase a coupon Angie's List (AL) informs you we (Chuck's Plumbing) will contact you with in 48 hours (not counting weekends). We must contact you through their (AL) message board. When we do that message explains which days and which hours of the day we honor the AL coupons. The CSR is not a plumber and cannot price the job for you over the phone. We want to give you the exact price for your repair when we do price it, so this is only done by a plumber (service technician) after examining your project or repair in person. We treat everyone with respect, but we are human and not perfect. Please call me if you wish to discuss this with me. 813-695-7556 Chuck Detari

Tank water heaters have an expected life of ten years. The most common failure at this age is tank failure (leaking). The manufacture recommends that they are serviced (flush) once a year. If the water heater is in poor condition and in the home or living space we will not flush it because we do not want to speed up it's demise. If this is your case you should replace the heater ASAP to prevent water damage. Chuck Detari

Description of Work: Chuck's plumbing was able to come out the same day that I discovered the pipe to my septic tank was broken. They dug it up and replaced it with the proper PVC pipe. Also fixed a leaking shower and hose bib.
