Purchased $49 deal. At time of service, added other work and $212. charge.

Chuck's Plumbing installed the commodes. I contacted Chuck (himself) through email and asked if I could get the "deal" if I wanted to have the toilets changed to ADA height. He said "Yes, but for an additional fee." The amount was reasonable, so I went ahead and purchased the deal. They came the next day with the commodes, I wanted, and Will had them installed within three hours. Will was the plumber who put them in. He was on time, courteous and extremely neat while putting them in. He worked the whole time did a great job. My husband and I the next day noticed that the tanks seemed a bit loose, but I contacted Chuck and he immediately had Barbara set up an appointment the same day. Will came out and adjusted the tanks so there was no more wiggle. I am very happy with the whole process and would definitely have Chuck's Plumbing come back. I also checked on the prices of the toilets and found out that this was a really good deal. Judy Sibley

The plumber from Chuck's was prompt and courteous. He explained the electrical issues involved with replacing the porch faucet, which leaked. The valve he installed works perfectly. No more leaks.

Original date of service was 9-10-13. However, new Granite counter-top was installed earlier then expected, and Plumber proposed 9-6-13 as date of service for connecting sink to water. We (Vicky and Jonathan Klenk) agreed. In addition, Plumber agreed to connect new bathroom Vanity sink to water. Plumber refused to offer a formal or informal estimate. Plumber called unexpectedly on 9-5-13 stating that agreed on date was no longer possible. After we stated that completion of service was urgent, Plumber stated that service would be completed early on 9-7-13 by a referral. We agreed yet fee was still unknown. Plumber arrived at 8 am and completed job in less than two hours and charged us $625 which included promo of $115 for $200 of service time. Job fee was between $312 and $417 per hour which is not reasonable, fair, moral, or justifiable for a job of this nature which can be defined as a simple, elementary, or introductory plumbing task. We request an investigation by Angie's List occur as a first step in determining whether or not Jonathan and Vicky Klenk were wronged by any definition of the word ?wronged.?

I have used Chuck's Plumbing for our plumbing needs several times prior to purchasing deal through Angie's List. The faucets we had them install had faucet handles separate from fixture so we knew they were more difficult to install and had received a quote from them in the past and decided to not hire a plumber at the time due to expense of installation. Two technicians came out and worked diligently. The work took them a long time. One of the technicians seemed to be in training. He damaged our sink marginally trying to remove fixture and was very apologetic. I always compare prices with several providers when I hire work done in our home; Chuck's has been competitive enough in the past that they have become our plumber of choice. For future needs, I will again seek price comparison before contracting a plumber.

I bought the $69 for Whole House Plumbing Inspection AND Water Heater Flush off Angie's list. When Mike came out, did the inspection, and quoted me what needed to be done I informed him that if he had time to fix it as the quote was what I needed done at a little lower rate than I thought. Mike was very professional and did everything in a timely manner. Thank you!

Chuck's did a great job. No problems. The faucets are great quality and working perfectly. The cost was higher than I expected, but it's been a long time since I had a plumber over to the house. We all know that plumbers are not cheap. The quality was perfect; so you get what you pay for with Chuck's.

Had a toilet that was leaking at the base, so it needed to be removed and reseated on a new wax ring. Normally, this is a DIY job, but I had an Angie's List Big Deal from Chuck's Plumbing, so I decided to used it. The Big Deal was for $200 worth of plumbing services for $99. The going rate for replacing a wax ring is about $100, so I figured they'd do the job and I'd have $100 left over to spend on something else. The plumber came and did the job in less than an hour and told me it would use up the whole value of the certificate. Not only that, but he billed me an additional fee just for traveling out here...so about $225 to remove and reseat a toilet. I know plumber's are expensive, but this one is outrageously over the top. I felt like they had deliberately doubled their prices so that I wouldn't get $200 worth for $99. I paid $99 and got about $75 worth of plumbing services for that. Beware of this company's "Big Deal" specials. Anyway, I was dumb enough to buy three of these "Big Deals". The second one I used, I also felt like they had doubled their rates. The third one, I never used and never intend to use, so I'm out $99. I will never deal with this company again.

We have been living with a very slow leak in the master bath sink for 2 years since we moved into this new house. We had another plumber come look at it a while back,and supposedly fixed it. But because it is a slow leak, it is barely noticeable until months pass by. The plumber from Chuck's Plumbing saw and fixed the plumbing right away. The base of the handle on the tap was not secured correctly to the counterop, and so when the countertop gets wet, it drips down through the crack around the base of the handle. It has been a couple months now, and still no leak! He was not even going to charge me for this service! I had an Angie's list big deal coupon, and I had to think of something else for him to do. So I had him replace the faucet in the guest bathtub/shower, that leaks water when the knob is pulled to activate the shower.

I purchased a toilet repair service for a leaky toilet but the total cost of the repair would have been more than half the cost of a complete replacement. I chose to get the toilet replaced with a unit that was more water efficient. The work was done as scheduled without any significant problems. The plumber was very careful not to bring any dirt into the house and cleaned up after he completed the work. Although I spent more than I expected, the new toilet works very well and I am happy with the purchase.

The plumbing technician called ahead of time to let us know when he would arrive and did arrive in the time frame we were given. He successfully replaced the cartridge inside the faucet saving us from a total faucet replacement and significant price increase. The old handle was very difficult to remove but the technician was persistent and successfully completed the repair. We were very pleased with Chuck's Plumbing and highly recommend them.

I have used Chuck's Plumbing in the past, and they always are responsive and do a great job. The builder installed a flimsy PVC valve, so I bought the big deal for $99 for $200 worth of services to cover the replacement. The cost was $99 plus a service charge of $29. I wouldn't hesitate to use them in the future.

I looked them up on your list and saw they had an excellent rating. Unfortunately, it was on a Sunday, but they were pleasant on the phone and agreed to come. I had to leave, but my husband said the person who came was very pleasant and hard-working. It took a little while for him to find a good location to place the equipment to start clearing the line. This was accomplished and then he needed to fix both toilets which involved pulling them up, replacing the wax ring and then grouting the bottom once they were set. The bill: service call for Sunday (which was fine) $79.00 "clear group by pulling wk & resetting with grout" $549.00 "pull w/c replace wax ring - grout - reset " $277.00 TOTAL $905.00 * * I noticed they didn't add in an additional cost for clearing the line, but assume this was included in the $549.00. I honestly don't know if this is typical for this type of thing, but it seems a bit high to me. We are grateful they came and the plumbing is working well. But in the future I will look for someone a bit less costly.

He arrived on time and inspected the faucet that needed to be replaced. He quickly replaced the faucet, which stopped the leak. Then I asked him about the inspection of the plumbing and he said that was only an inspection of problem areas. I was disappointed because I misunderstood and thought the deal included a full inspection of the plumbing to determine if there here any problems. That is why my grade isn't higher, because I felt like I paid too much for the services actually provided.

Mike arrived within the arranged timeframe complete with a big smile and protective booties for his feet !! After showing him the hosebib in question and discussing an ongoing problem with a "runny" toilet, he went right to work outside. Oh, and yes, he did explain how the work was to be done. Having seen what a beautiful job he had done with that "pain in the neck" hosebib, I felt confident in having him repair the even worse "pain in the neck" toilet. Once again after full explanation, he went right to work. He actually removed the tank and replaced EVERYTHING (seals & gaskets, not just the working mechanism) I was impressed as it had been "repaired" twice before but without tank removal. AND, poor guy had to listen to me yackin' on & on while he was working... He had the patience of a Saint !! I purchased the coupon special for the hosebib replacement. The toilet repair was $221.00 and after seeing the labor it took and the expertise Mike had, it was well worth it. The work was done efficiently, timely and he cleaned up after himself. Bottom line? I will DEFINITELY use Chuck's Plumbing ( must send Mike!!) in the future and will highly recommend them to all "Oaksteadians" and everyone else !! Oops!! Almost forgot: KUDOS to Barbara !!! She updated me as to Mike's arrival, was very professional and easy to work with !! I just hope my future needed contractors are as professional as Chuck's Plumbing !!! Boy am I spoiled now!!

He discovered it was the stopper on the drain was not working properly. He did a small adjustment. He did not charge me anything for it. He is very professional, left package information, came prepared with booties so carpet didn’t get dirty. I was reassured and they were organized.

Everything went great. The 2nd trip out was covered under warranty.

I purchased the Angie's List Deal for $70.00, and learned all about the importance of flushing the water heater (that I had never had done). It so happens that our 17 year old water heater had too much sediment to be flushed, but at least I understood why it wasn't working at full capacity. He checked all of the faucets and toilets, and gave me suggestions on what to replace or repair.

The removal and instillation of the new toilet went very well. They were punctual, clean, and professional and so far it appears that they have done a good job. I am disappointed with the toilet seats. They charged $40 each and I "assumed" incorrectly that they would be of the same quality I had before. Unfortunately, I assumed and ended up being disappointed. They are made of plastic, feel cheap and don't really match the rest of the toilet. Not a huge ordeal, but a disappointment none-the-less. Other than that, I was impressed and would use them again. I will, however, not "assume" anything. An update to my experience: Chucks responded and brought out new toilet seats that were a better match and they did with the same professionalism and positive attitude as when they first came out. They are a top notch company. I would defiantly recommend using Chuck's!

he knew I was on a budget, so he tried to meet my needs and make it affordable too. serviceman also came out this month at no charge to check why I had no hot water.....checked fuse boxes, heater, etc...... very helpful.

This was such a great experience. The work was able to be performed without any additional costs. My technician went above and beyond to help me save money while doing a great job with high quality parts. I was very happy and I would not hesitate to use them again. My new American Standard toilet needed to have a rubber gasket replaced because it was defective. The service tech did not have it with him, so he returned the following morning to install it. This job did not require that the toilet be removed from the floor, there was only the replacement of a small part that connected the tank to the base. I asked why the cost was so high, considering the installation of a new toilet requires much more work and is usually advertised and done for approximately $100. The plumber told me that if the work went smoothly, he would charge less. The job took less than an hour. I purchased the coupon for $115 for $200 worth of plumbing services and was charged $248 for the job. We chose not to repair the faucet because it requires a much more complicated process than we can do at this time. I was told that the charge was simply for the toilet repair. In my opinion, this charge is excessive and I feel that the "coupon" was a gimmick. I could have bought a new toilet and had it installed for the price. I am disappointed.

Bobby arrived within the 2 hour time frame (at the time specified in the courtesy phone call I received to let me know that he was on his way). I also received a courtesy email telling me who the technician would be. Not only was he professional and well mannered, but warm and friendly as well. He explained everything thoroughly and kept me informed as the work progressed. He offered two possible options for the repair with pricing in writing before he performed the service and explained 'worse case scenerio' with pricing in writing as well. He walked me through what he had done after he finished the necessary work and provided me with additional pricing options for replacing the leaky, old toilet. The total charges were exactly what had been quoted, so there were no unpleasant surprises at the end. I was very pleased with the work and the attention to detail. He even offered to clean the bathtub for me. I would definitely use Chuck's again. Thanks for the great service! Highly recommend!
