Tech showed up when promised, he was very professional, used shoe covers on workbooks when transiting the house and totally thorough on the job. He found a weak capacitor during the checks (i'm an electronics tech so was able to verify the cap was out of tolerance per manufacturer specs). My parents were in town and were surprised at both the value and thoroughness of the tech when compared to what they receive for the "same" annual service. I was so impressed with the professionalism, I signed up for an annual maintenance agreement which included a checkup every 6 months on the system. Some like to run systems in FL until they die but you truly either pay a little along the way and reduce the wear/tear on your system or you replace major components more often which costs more in the long-run. The tech's punctuality and professionalism were what led me to opt for a maintenance agreement, there were suggestions made but nothing was "pushed" in a sales pitch...so glad I chose this company

On the first visit, the guy that came out was really good, thorough, and took his time. The second guy that came out was a little less thorough and professional. I would call them again. Actually, I need to call them again for my seasonal maintenance.

They are just outstanding. They could do anything from annual maintenance to bringing in a new A/C unit to going in an fixing any problem you have. They are professional.

At my other house, I fixed that myself. They taught me to run the house up. It worked well. They're good because I had to call them back and they came, took care of it at no charge.

Awful.. Don't indicate on Angie list that you have emergency services when you won't come out at 10 pm at night.

We've spent hundreds of dollars and It's been nearly a month and it's still not working correctly. Have called to complain more than once but nobody seems to care and nobody returns calls. Since their last visit, there's now a loud electrical zapping noise when the AC kicks on . I told them this and they never called me back!

In 1991 Caldeco was contacted to install a heating system in my home. The opening for the primary duct vent installed under my staircase was left open to the elements with a 7 x 15 inch whole. Due to some unrelated construction this year (2016), I open the the staircase through the adjacent half-bath and discovered how CALDECO left me all those years ago. In short, my contractor cleaned the animal feces and sealed the hole at a cost of $250. I believe this company should, in good faith, pay for what I had to come behind them to do. I believe I deserve to have this area sealed off at the time they completed the work. Today, June 22, 2016, the manger disagrees even after sharing pictures. Moreover, he did not return my call as requested and only replied to my email address I use to send the before and after photos. It was time to have our A/C unit tuned up. I called Caldeco and they scheduled an appointment for July 5th. in the afternoon. Brennen was the service technician that came out this time and serviced our unit. Brennen was very nice and professional and spent a lot of time making sure that everything was checked out properly.

I've used them for about 20 years and they're really reliable.

Of course it was on a weekend that our A/C unit decided to stop cooling. We made it through Saturday night without air but it got so humid on Sunday that I knew we could not make it through another night without it. I called Caldeco and they sent an A/C tech specialist out that afternoon. Monty checked the unit over and said it was a capacitor that had gone bad. Once he replaced it the A/C unit started blowing cooler air even though it took a couple of hours to get the temperature back to where it should be. We have been using Caldeco for the past few years and have always been pleased with their service. They probably are not the cheapest A/C company out there, but they do a fine job of keeping our A/C unit running.

We will be researching and calling other companies to complete our annual maintenance and possibly begin a service contract.

Great people who sold and installed the unit, however this is my second service call in 2 weeks with the AC NOW NOT WORKING AT ALL

The company was very professional and prompt. I appreciated that they sent an email in advance a profile on the individual who would be performing the diagnosis on my HVAC unit. My AC was not blowing cold air upstairs. The person was polite. The quote I received for the repairs was $3000. I asked for my quote and paid my diagnostic fee. I did schedule another quote for that afternoon from someone else I found on Angie's List. That repair was only $300. The unit has been working great for the last two weeks since the repair. I do realize my unit is on borrowed time due to its age but I'd much prefer to spend $300 and have time to prepare for the big expense.

Caldeco is an excellent company. From the people at the office who answer the phone to the service people who do the work. They are all exceptional. By far the best ac company I have ever used., and unfortunately, I have used many. Rick, the owner, personally came to my home multiple times to try to figure out why the ac units were not removing humidity. He tackled the problem from multiple angles, looking at attic, vents, insulation, lighting, flooring, crawlspace, electric outlets, etc. He spent a great deal of uncompensated time to try to help us solve the problem,. He even helped us find honest contractors to work on the house and fix what he found to be contributing to the problem. A company is only as good as its' leader and Rick is diligent, competent, knowledgeable and most of all, honest. I would highly recommend this company.

Reiss Holsbeke was our contact throughout the entire process. He spent a considerable amount of time examining our current system and recommending what we needed just to cool our bedroom at night without cooling the entire house using our main AC system. He graciously answered all of our questions. We like to sleep in a cool bedroom. We installed a 1.5 ton Carrier system with a vent in both the BR and bath ceilings. The return was placed in the BR along with the thermostat. We did not install a ductless mini split which mounts on the wall--the most common installation. The outside unit is outside our BR window but is so quiet you cannot hear it running. The duct work and fan were placed in the attic. In fact, it is a miniature of our main system. Reiss was very professional. We had other bids but selected Caldeco as a result. Installation took two days. The installation crew arrived on time both days. They did a professional job. They neatly stored their supplies in our garage after the first day and when they left there was not a speck of dirt or materials anywhere. Two different county inspectors stated that the work was neat and professionally done. We are very pleased with the system. The price was reasonable for what we received. A+job!!

Our AC coils were icing over, indicating that the refrigerant was probably low. We'd had that issue before two years ago. When I called our previous AC service company, they left us hanging for three days with unreturned calls and then dumped us (owner retiring apparently). So that afternoon, I called Caldeco based on their good Angie's List ratings. Marlene answered the call and was very helpful. Said they could have someone out at 8:30 the next morning. She quoted that there's an $89 diagnostic fee, but since the tech would be doing basically the same things as the $79 annual maintenance for our issue, she put us down for that to save us $10. Nice! The tech, George, arrived as scheduled the next day, and did a very thorough inspection. He confirmed that our refrigerant was 3lbs. low, and refilled it. There is likely a slow leak somewhere in the system... George checked the coils and connections, but the equipment was unable to detect the leak, so it's probably way up in the lines. Fortunately, because it's a slow leak, He said we can sit tight for now. Since the last top-off lasted two years, he recommended that we wait and see where the levels are at our next annual maintenance. So far, I'm very happy with Caldeco. The two people I interacted with were both very personable and helpful. They didn't try to upsell me at all, and they took care of the issue quickly and efficiently. We had done research, using Consumer Reports, The Comfort Institute website, Angie?s List and the Better Business Bureau, to determine a quality vendor and product. We determined via The Comfort Institute website, Angie?s List and the Better Business Bureau, that Caldeco was an excellent and conscientious company that had demonstrated a high level of performance. Additionally, using Consumer Reports, we identified that Carrier AC/Heat Pump units were rated amongst the most favorable in terms of reliability. And Caldeco is a Carrier Factory Authorized Dealer. When we called for an estimate, the date and time was scheduled and I was sent an email with the representative?s information and photo. Reiss, the representative arrived as scheduled. He provided exemplary service and was informative, congenial and professional. He provided estimates for three options and explained all the options. After reviewing the options, I notified Reiss and an installation date was determined, October 22, 2015. The installers, Junior and Carlos, arrived on time and were also very conscientious, congenial and professional. They demonstrated genuine concern with respect to accomplishing a comprehensive and detail oriented installation. There was an inconsistency with the unit?s function the evening of the installation, which may have been due to the thermostat setting, but it was addressed immediately by Caldeco, and it was resolved. It was comforting to see the diligent manner in which Reiss and Caldeco responded to addressing this item. I need to mention that Reiss has been outstanding with respect to the customer service he has provided. While the installers, Junior and Carlos have the same dedication toward providing a high level of performance.

Friday afternoon I noticed my a/c wasn't cooling properly. I knew I was a couple of months overdue for servicing but my regular a/c guy was not available and doesn't do emergency call outs. I tried another Angie's List provider and they told me they were busy servicing their "premier customers" and I should look for another provider. So, in other words, I didn't rate. They didn't even offer to come the next day. I then called Caldeco and the gal on the phone was super nice and said they could get someone to come out right away. I opted for the next day and got a call letting me know when the tech would be here. Gary showed up right on time and knocked out the work super fast. Gary was professional and knew exactly what to do. I'll be using Caldeco moving forward for all my a/c needs. Thank you Caldeco for taking care of my needs and I look forward to doing business with you in the future!!!

The gentlemen from Caldeco was named Reiss, and he arrived at the time scheduled. He was most professional while being very congenial and obliging. His relevant knowledge was exceptional and he addressed every concern comprehensively, and provided a host of other relevant information. He provided four options for the new system and explained all the details of each option. Additionally, he provided financing information. When we go forward with installing our new system, which will most likely be sooner than later, it will definitely be with Caldeco.
