Description of Work: Replace heating/cooling unit

Description of Work: The AC compressor would not work when the thermostat called for cool air. The air handler turned on as expected. Caldeco made time on short notice, same day to get a technician over to look at the problem. The technician's diagnosis was that the unit had a bad capacitor. He replaced the capacitor, cleaned the drain lines and tested the second zone unit. Once the cpacitor was replaced the system worked well. I would recommend this firm for future work

Description of Work: After 17 years the old Carrier was ready to be replaced. Caldeco came out to examine it and give me the news. Then Reiss from Caldeco stepped into the picture. He examined everything, did a thorough analysis and went through the complete explanation of 4 alternatives best suited to our home. |He also explained the pricing and financing options as well as each step of the installation. Highly professional in every respect. Same is true for every member of the team who showed up for the installation promptly @ 8:30AM. Reiss was there along with the maintenance manager and 3 others, each of whom knew his job and went about it expertly. They do this every day in 5 counties around Tampa Bay. They replaced all the copper lines between the 2 units and trained my wife and I on using the new control. Everything was complete by 3PM, including removal of all the old equipment and material. It was entirely hassle free!!!! Hats off to Caldeco: Rick C has a marvelous business model and wonderful people.

They correctly diagnosed the problem, ordered a replacement part, and got the system up and running the next day. The tech was professional, respectful, competent, and didn't try to sell anything... so I signed up for a service contract. |Don't be distracted by the "C" grade for price. It simply means I got what I paid for... I didn't feel gouged, and I wasn't amazed by the low cost.

Description of Work: In the seven years I have owned my house, I have used three different A/C companies to service my two Carrier A/C with Caldeco being the best of them. For the last two years that Caldeco has provided both maintenance and repair services, I have found them to be the best in terms of thoroughness and knowledge.
