We have been working with Caldeco for over 12 years. When our original mismatched air conditioner was no longer getting the job done, I contacted a few local AC companies for quotes. Mike Jenkins from Caldeco provided for us, several options at various price points. The system we decided on was the second option of four presented to us. It was not the "top of the line" option, but the package we chose did include a 10-year parts and labor warranty. That decision worked out in our favor over the years. Recently, after 12 years of service, our A/C was starting to struggle to keep up. I placed a call with Caldeco's service department to have a technician come out and take a look at the system. After a thorough inspection, it was determined that the thermal expansion valve (TXV) was not working properly and needed to be replaced. When I saw the estimate for what it would cost to replace the TXV, I was a bit shocked. It was going to be over $900. The technician explained that the system would have to be vacuumed down to recover the refrigerant, replace the TXV and recharge the system. My only thought was, do I want to spend that much money on a system that is 12 years old. No, I don't think so... I called Mike Jenkins and asked him to put together some options for a replacement system. Again, four options were presented to us at various price points. For my own peace of mind, I did contact another local well rated AC company for a second opinion. The representative I met with did confirm that the price to replace a TXV was reasonable and comparative. He also presented several options for a replacement AC system. Side-by-side, on the same equipment, the other company was comparable. The other company told me that they had a lead time of two to three weeks for installation. I signed the contract with Caldeco on Wednesday and the following Monday the crew was here to install the new unit. Here is the complete scope of work that Caldeco did for us: Two new concrete pads with strapping and hurricane bracing New 2-ton condenser unit New 2 ton evaporator unit New drain pan and blocking New drain lines and float switches New programmable thermostat ** Also added beyond original proposal - replacement of 2 pole circuit breaker per manufacturer specification Replaced bulb in ultraviolet unit that was working intermittently They also waived the cost of the diagnostic service call. Overall, we are extremely pleased with Caldeco. All the team members we have worked with have been courteous and professional. A special thanks to Mike Jenkins and Robert Garcia for their sincerity and thoughtfulness. It means a lot to me when someone says "thank you for your business " and you know that they mean it.

Two guys from Caldeco came out to do a regular maintenance on our AC unit. They changed out a bad capacitor and also attached the blower fan more securely with three new bolts. These guys worked very hard and did an excellent job. I normally have the unit checked every year by Caldeco, but somehow missed it last year. So far the unit is working great.

Caldeco sent Fabian Reyes out to see me the next day after I left them an email on their website. I requested a time after 5 pm and he arrived at 5:30. He immediately started taking the covers off and showing me the condition of the equipment. Since the unit was 20 years old and not serviced in the last 11 years, I expected the worst. It did not look too bad, though, and Fabian set about to remedy the situation and get my house cooled down. He found that the main drain was clogged and sending water down into my house. He told me step-by-step exactly what he would do to remedy this situation and how the cost would balloon depending on the level of difficulty. Total transparency. It turned out, 20 years of sludge was in the drain which ran under the house. It was the worst situation, of course, but was finally cleared and alleviated my water issue for about $147. Then he recharged my system with that liquid gold known as freon. All was accomplished in about 3 hours and the house was icy cold that night. Total cost of just under $400, but they will credit that to my account if I purchase a new system from them. I really like the way Fabian worked like a detective to track down the problem and repair it as quickly as possible--always keeping me apprised of the steps he was taking AND what they would cost so that I would not be surprised at the end. Both the technician that came to diagnose the problem (after normal work hours) did a great job of diagnosing the problem and what needed to be replaced. Caldeco got the right parts the next morning and worked us into their busy schedule. The another great technician came and installed the new parts (printed circuit board, capacitors, et cetera) after doing another big job, and with a threatening thunderstorm at our home. He was so efficient and knew exactly what to do! Great job - the AC was back in business.

Great overall experience. Our old system was very inefficient and our ductwork leaky and just worn out. These folks did an excellent job installing a very efficient Carrier system with an Ecobee thermostat plus they redid all our ductwork. It’s a good feeling when the city inspector told me he rarely finds any issues with a Caldeco job , they are the best. I would recommend them to anyone.

My old AC unit had been struggling to keep the house cool for the past two summers and maintenance wasn't solving the problem, so I wanted to get it replaced before another summer was upon us. Since it wasn't an emergency situation I had time to get a few quotes and see how I felt about the companies I got the quotes from. Being in the construction business all my life I have much experience dealing with sub-contractors and I can get a pretty good feel for them just by talking to them and checking their reviews. Caldeco AC's price was competitive with the other companies that I got quotes from and they seemed professional and up-front about what they were telling me, so we agreed on a price for a new Carrier 3.5 ton, 16 SEER A/C system and I went ahead and scheduled the work to be done. To make it easier for them and to make sure the project went smoothly, I pulled the door unit off the AC closet (before they arrived) so they could get the old air handler out and put the new air handler in. I also cut a narrow strip of drywall off a wall in the garage. That gave them access to a chase where the copper from the old air handler ran to the outside unit and they were able to use that opening to run the new copper to the new outside unit. The arrived to do the work on time and they completed the work in less time than they projected. The installers were professional and courteous and even the building inspector commented on the fine quality of their work. After they finished, I had to reinstall the door unit.on the AC closet and repair the drywall on the chase in the garage but, all in all, they did a great job. It's been almost a year since the work was done. My electric bills have gone down a little but my house is now cooling (or heating) to whatever temperature I set the thermostat at and the unit isn't having to run 24/7 to maintain it. I highly recommend Caldeco.

They are a superb company who not only installed one of our systems a few years ago, but also conduct cleaning and checks of our two systems. Since we have used Caldeco, our needs have always been taken care of promptly and at a very reasonable cost to companies we had used in the past. Fantastic . They went above and beyond. This is the second time I’ve used Caldeco, and there was a little glitch this time that they resolved promptly and more than satisfactorily. After they left, we noticed that a sprinkler head next to the water tank was damaged. We had someone come out to fix it and to check and adjust the whole system while they were here. We sent a copy of the bill to Caldeco. They sent a check right away that that covered not only the damaged sprinkler head, but the entire irrigation visit! Integrity on top of excellent service.

Caledco was fantastic ! From their office staff to the repairman- everyone was wonderful. I would use them again in a minute. I have had another company servicing my unit in the past and will no longer be using them. Caldeco is my new favorite.
