I recently moved to Tampa. Not knowing who to use, I searched Angie's List for HVAC, and as always I was delighted with my provider from Angie's List.
My A/C went out at 3:30 PM .... July in Florida in the middle of the rainy season. I called Caldeco and Amanda was delightful. Within 7-10 minutes she called me and said a technician was on his way from Seminole. I also received an immediate email confirming a service technician had been dispatched. Within 15-20 minutes, Stephen was knocking at my door. He came in, looked out back briefly to locate the compressor, put on booties when he came back in the house. Checked the thermostat, when upstairs to look at air handler. Placed a drop cloth under his ladder to protect my flooring. Within 7-10 minutes, he diagnosed the problem, had the part on his tuck, replaced the transformer and my AC was back on!!! Then he checked the outside unit completely. $240 well spent. Stephen was great, did not try to add additional, unnecessary charges. I felt confident in his honesty and skill. I will absolutely call Caldeco in the future and recommend them to friends. The technicians sent were excellent. Patrick and Carlos were polite, professional the entire time, and I appreciate that they listened to my questions and gave me detailed answers. I loved that they never seemed uncertain with what they were doing - everything was very methodical and matter of fact. They showed up at 8:15 am - exactly on time, and were finished by 3:15-ish - which was actually quicker than I had been told to expect. Their cleanup was perfect.
There were some slight glitches along the way-at the end, I had to wait around for the Carrier special filter installation, and the tech for that didn't know which way the specialty filter should face?! Plus - one of my breakers was switched off, and wasn't switched back on, so today I'll be trying to figure out which one it was. But, all in all, it was a far better experience than I had prepared myself for, my new air conditioning works perfectly, and I would definitely recommend Caldeco to anyone interested in having a new A/C system installed.

John McGuire called and gave me his schedule. He was also extremely professional and said he could be here by 9:15PM. John showed up right on schedule and diagnosed the issue. John worked on it even trying to use a motor that he had on his
truck to get it going. Due to the technology in the system, the exact motor had to be installed or the system would not function. John gave his best effort until almost 11PM. He told us that he would advise his service manager and ask that the manufacturer warehouse would open for them in the morning ( a SUNDAY)!
At 9am on Sunday morning I received a call from the Caldeco office and was told that John was getting access to the part and would be out to get us going. John was here at 10:30 AM with the new part and we are up and running. In just over 12 hours on a weekend Caldeco got the job done.

Originally, I called Caldeco for a quote to replace the a/c system. A prior (incompetent) a/c repair firm (who will go unmentioned) couldn't figure out the root cause and suggested the best option was replacement versus four-figures to repair my decade-old system. Caldeco was the second company on my list for a quote.
The Caldeco sales person -- Reiss Holsbeke -- heard my story and suggested he take a look. He could have just proceeded with the quote process. Instead, Reiss crawled into my 110 degree attic to perform his own diagnosis. Emerging sweat drenched, he advised me to have their repair crew visit before spending several thousand dollars on a new system.
Today, the repair guy found the root cause -- faulty thermostat -- and fixed the situation. Thirty minutes later, Reiss called to follow up and ensure everything was OK. At some point, I will have to replace one or both of my 10+ year old systems. When that time arrives, I'm buying from Caldeco!

Wow, what great service! On Mother's Day one of my units stopped working. I called Caldeco instead of the company I had been using for years because of all of the problems I have had with them over the years. I had heard Caldeco's commercials on 970 WFLA so I looked them up on Angie's List and saw they had great reviews. I called and was greeted by a very courteous man, who took my call and explained the cost for an emergency visit. Within 15 minutes, the technician called to say he was on his way and within 45 minutes of the call a technician was at my door. Jack located the issue right away and explained everything to me. He explained that the unit needed a new coil due to a leak and that it could not be fixed today but he would email the information that evening so someone could call me in the morning to start ordering the part. He even told me the unit should still be under warranty and they would follow up on that for me as well. Jack was very professional and customer friendly. He told me about the company as we chatted and I felt like I had finally found a company that fit my needs. The next morning by 8am Paul called and told me the unit was under warranty and that they had ordered the part for me and that it could be fixed that day. He told me the charges and we set up the repair.
About an hour later I was told the part had been acquired and that they would be at my house by 11am. Then a little while later they called to tell me the technician was on his way. With my previous company I'm usually the one calling them to see how if they can update me.
When I opened the door, it was great to see Jack the same technician from the day before at my door. He knew exactly what to do and got right to work. I am very pleased with Caldeco and am thinking about purchasing their service plan. I would definitely use them again.
