Terrible Installations & customer service was poor. Follow up & responsibilities were non exsistant. That’s the problem with a large organization that doesn’t even employ their own installers.

We purchased an area rug, which had to be cut and seamed. We purchased it on a Friday and were promised delivery by the next Friday. We didn't hear anything and when we called, the salesman told us it would be in the next week. The following week we called again and it still wasn't in. At no time did anyone from Bob's call us to let us know the status. We had to initiate every call. At the end of 4 weeks when we told the salesman we wanted to cancel and get our money back, he told us we would have to speak with the manager. The manager did not call and when we called again and finally got the manager, we were told that not only could we not get our money back, but if we didn't take the carpet they would charge us a 25% restocking fee!!! The manager did have the carpet delivered since the salesman had promised delivery since it had taken 4 weeks. He also said that he had gotten other complaints about the salesman and would have to do something about him, but the whole experience soured us on using them for replacing the rest of the carpeting in our house.

Bob's has wonderful selections for every budget. I'm a guy, so color coordination and style is definitely not my forte. Adam treated me with the most exceptional professionalism, punctuality, and courtesy (not to mention patience!) that I've ever received from any flooring vendor I've ever used. In fact, I can't remember ever feeling like such a valuable customer at any store, anywhere! Adam's efficiency and competence are beyond reproach. There was no hard sell. Adam's focus was to provide the highest quality flooring at a price that fit my budget. I have used them for 38 years and will continue to use them. I have had only a couple of problems, but every time I have had a problem I go to them immediately, address the problem with them, they take care of it nicely, quickly and they always are in my favor. They never try to put the blame on me. They always absorb what the problem is.

I have used them for many, many years. I have been using Bob's Carpet, probably, since I moved in her about 38 years ago. I have had only a couple of problems but every time I have had a problem I go to them immediately, address the problem with them and they take care of it nicely, quickly and they always are in my favor. They never try to put the blame on me, they always absorb whatever the problem is. There was only one time one of their installers acted up. I called them immediately. They got him off of that job the very day. The owner of the company contacted me and the apologies came. I mean, they sent me tickets for a steak dinner, a trip to the Bahamas and that sort of stuff. They more than went overboard to try to sooth it. They sent me out the best installers I have ever had. I would have liked to have paid a little less but I still would not go to somebody else since I have been with them so long I know what I am getting every single time -- good quality. I would advise others to use them. I know them all by name now. I walk in there and they call me by name. I feel like I am working there after all these years. That's just something about their company.
Description of Work: I use Bob's Carpet for carpet cleaning and floor care. The first time I used them to put new carpeting throughout my house.

Randy came out to the house with samples of carpet. He brought the exact colors we had talked about on the phone. He also brought several samples of pads. I was able to look at the carpet within my own home so I was able to grade the color next to items in the room as well as consider the lighting that was in the bedroom. We set up an appointment for the installation. I did have to call when the techs were not at my house by the scheduled time. Randy mentioned they were finishing up a previous job and were picking up the carpet "as we speak". Jose and Mario arrived shortly there after, took out the old pad/carpet and installed the new. They cleaned everything up and did a good job with the install. I'll see now if this carpet lasts 10 years - like my previous carpet.

Description of Work: Sold new laminate wood floors installed for sections of my house totaling 1600sqft | |The product is defective and was recalled by manufacture. Installer who did work was great and has to an extent kept in touch but the manager of the store will not return my calls and has not to my knowledge contacted the manufacture for Warrenty on the flooring. I am going to have to take matter in my own hands since I can't rely on the store to help

This was altogether an excellent experience. Randy was great to deal with. I chose a carpet with a pattern and he worked with the installer to find the most efficient method of installing to save yardage and money. The installers were pleasant and did their work quickly and beautifully. They matched the pattern perfectly. As anyone who sews understands, when matching a pattern, it takes more material than normal. The same holds true with carpet. Because of this, there were leftover pieces. Bob's Carpet Mart has a service that will cut and bind the edges and make beautiful area rugs with these leftovers for a very reasonable price. Randy followed up on the installation the same day to be sure that I was happy with the end result. I WAS VERY HAPPY! Thanks, Randy.

They are fair and their prices are good. Their installers did good job. However, there was no follow-up after the sale and although they told me there was a warranty on the carpet, I received no paperwork.

They did a great job and the price was excellent. The quality of the floors is wonderful. They subcontract the installation work and the installers were very good to work with. One of the times the subcontractors showed up when I was not home because they did not call me ahead of time. I called the sales person I was working with and he got them back there right away. I plan to use them for future work.
Description of Work: They installed hardwood floors in my house. We used them on separate occasions, once for the living room and dining room and the second time they did the flooring in the bedroom.

Most of the job and carpet were just fine and we still have it in place. ONE REAL problem was the main living room. with in 6 months of being installed a 20' wave appeared right in the middle of the room. We called Bob's and they sent someone out to look. The serviceman said that the carpet might have stretched and he would have the installers come back out to fix. When the installers came they tried to correct the wave BUT could not so they said they would check with the original installers and get back to us. They never did. We called a few more times over a period of time and finally gave up as no one else came out to fix this situation. Last week I finally got another firm to come in to try to fix and when he pulled the carpet back to stretch out the wave he found a shoddy job of install that was causing the wave; BOB's Carpet original installers ( probably not Bob's but a contractor- most of these bigger firms try to get contractors so they have some one to push the blame off to). What the installer for Bob's Carpet did was chop up the under padding and laid it down in pieces. The guy that came last week to fix it took pictures of what he found and told me I should send the pictures and report to the IICRC to report the non-professional shoddy work. I n an effort to save some of their money, the installers had cut up some padding and pieced it into place instead of using a new continuous roll. T he cut up chunks of padding is what caused my rug to create the 20' wave right in the middle of the room. I am currently putting the report together to send along with the pictures so the IICRC can get a look at the workmanship of BOB's Carpet. I called them first and they thought it was VERY non-professional to install padding in the fashion that BOB's Carpet did. If you buy carpet from BOB's then y ou want to keep an eye on them during the install to make sure they don't try to short cut the institutes method of installing carpet and pad. They might try to do this again if they did it to me. They won't fix it either, they just give you broken promises and don't follow up. It cost me $300 to get the carpet stretched again and it still is not right as the entire carpet and padding would have to be pulled up to correct and the under-padding is a mess from all the pieces just bunching up.

Friday rolls around and we don't hear from the carpet store. We call and they don't know anything. Have to call the factory. Can't schedule so we cancel the order. Salesman now want to argue with us about how much work he has done to get our carpet for us and how he needs to call the factory and and and. Well by now we are angry and just want to get off the phone. Different salesman call's. Starts wining about how he has the carpet in another location and he could transport it and on and on and on. Sorry I don't need to hear about all the stores problems and no, I am not patient nor polite when I feel like my time is being wasted . I just need to get my tenants new carpet and move on. This guy stayed on the phone and we traded insults till he finally hung up. Professionalism is so lacking in this area. So many vendors seems like they think they to know more than the customers and can't wait to tell everyone just how smart they are.

1) We had tile installation scheduled for 5/15/2013 2) On 5/15/2013 at about 9am i called to find out where they were was told they were running late and would be there by noon. I made it clear install was to be done that day 3) Noon no installers more excuses about them running late because they were working on someone else’s job (like i really care about someone else job) 4) 2:30 or 3:00 they show up and figure out they don’t have any tile spacers 5) 4:30 finally got first piece of tile down 6) 7:30 they left for day 7) 5/16/2013 they show up at 8:30 by 11:30 they left for lunch 8) 1:00 they show back up to finish (i discovered that my unused tile has mysteriously appeared on their truck after I had insisted that it all be unloaded they day before ) 9) 3:00 they finished up 10) your installers think its a good idea to mix mortar and grout on a brick patio without putting down a tarp

Wayne came out. He was nice and professional, but I wasn't very impressed with the carpet that was in our price point. I had received a quote from a smaller company that gave me frieze carpet for the same price as the cheaper carpet at Bob's.

First off, the price and quality of the carpet are great. Our salesman Bob was on time and gave great service. Here are our issues: Punctuality of installation and follow-through. When the carpet was to be ripped out and new installed, I asked if the carpet in the master bathroom (yuck) could be taken out with the carpet from the master bedroom (even though we were not having anything purchased from Bob's re-installed in that space). I was told sure, just let the installers know. Here starts the circus. The installers did not come on time. They were going to be at least 1 1/2 hours later than we agreed and I had to get to work. I spoke with the manager at Bob's Carpet Mart and was told he would relay the info on the bathroom. When I came home, the carpet was installed and looked great. (Tuesday) But the master bathroom carpet was still there. I called back to Bob's the next day (Wed) and was told they would come the following day to take care of it. I gave them a time frame in which I would be there. Someone came by when I wasn't home and supposedly left a note. All I would have needed was a phone call to say someone was coming and I would have left work to head back. I called back on Friday and was told by the manager that no one was available to come get the carpet. We needed it removed as we were moving in on Saturday and I needed to clean the floor for tile installation. After a go-around the manager agreed to come personally to get the carpet of Friday. I ended up having to be the one pulling it all out.It is still in my garage. I guess he isn't coming. I understand this was beyond the scope of service. However, when you say you are going to do something, you do it.If Bob's Carpet Mart would have just said "No", I would have had people that were working on the house that I could have made arrangements with. Now I am stuck with nasty carpet and pad in my garage. 7/31/13 update After a year of use of carpet, 2 of the rooms have rippling in the carpet and the quality is in question. It looks old and dingy. 5/22/14 update Carpet in 3 bedrooms are rippled and dirty looking. Called multiple times for a re-stretch and have not yet had any assistance. POOR POOR POOR quality and customer service. STAY AWAY!!

I went to the Bob's Carpet Mart at 5115 53rd Ave E (SR70) Bradenton, FL and dealt with a Michele Reed (Store Manager). At the store Michele was more than willing to help me out however once I left they did not contact me at all. I always had to reach out to the store including setting up my measurement for the tile, calling the store and finding out how much the job would cost, and also calling them to find out when they could come out and do the job. When attempting to get the individual in here to measure he never called and never showed up. Finally after contacting the store we found out that he had car trouble and couldn't make it. After about a week he came to the house to measure and mentioned that he would take the measurements back to Michele and they would draw up a plan. After not hearing from them for about a week I called for a status. He indicated that he said that I would need to come in a design something. I finally was able to talk to Michele after another 3 or 4 days and get a design in place and a quote. After I paid for the tile I didn't hear anything for 2-3 more weeks. I called the store to find out the status and they mentioned that one of the tiles that I ordered was discontinued and I would have to come in and pick out a new tile. After I was able to fit that into my schedule they re-ordered the tile. I didn't hear anything for a few more weeks so I called for a status. I found out that the tile was in and scheduled the start of the job for 8/29/11. When I called the Friday before I was told that they had to re-order all the tile because it was broken. When I asked why they didn't do it when the tile came in weeks ago she mentioned that they do not normally look at the tile. I asked her why she did in this case and she said because she like my tile so well. At this point, I felt like I was getting lied to called Richard at their main office. Richard was very nice to listen to my frustrations about the lack of communication from Michele. He kept me in the loop on my tile re-order and apologized for the lack of communication. I still felt like more could have been done by Richard. The installer came to my house as promised on 8/31/11. When he got here the design that Michele did would not work in the space (she would have known this had she ever come out to the house) so he designed something on the spot. The installer was amazing and will work with him in the future. He did the entire job on the same day even staying late to complete it. Michele (without calling) stopped by the house to check on the progress. When Richard called me I explained that I felt it was terribly rude of her to stop by the house. I do not know if I will ever work with Bob's Carpet Mart again given this experience.

Salesman Dean Webb was very helpful and dedicated to my satisfaction with with selection and installation. Other then a few minor delays in the touch up work everything went smoothly.

Salesman was knowledgeable and helped us find the carpet and pad that we wanted in the store after coming to our home to premeasure the area. Installers arrived on time and did a reasonably careful job moving the large amount of very heavy furniture with only a few minor scratches and wall dents and scrapes. The carpet installation itself was accomplished in a professional manner and looks and feels great.
