+ -1 moreThey were dependable. They show up every month without me having to call. If I needed something outside of my normal monthly schedule, they were very easy to work with. They come out and take care of it.
Description of Work: I've used them every month for the last four years. They did monthly maintenance so they would spray outside; once a quarter they would come and spray in the house then one time I had treats for fleas.

+ -1 moreI like them. I've been with them for probably 20 years. I pay $36 every other month. I've rarely had to call them back and when I did, they were right there. I can count on them. It's quick and it's easy and I like that because I'm busy like everybody else. My interactions with them was great. The work they've been doing has turned out perfect.
Description of Work: They provide pest control services inside and outside. They don't do the yard but they go around the outside of the house.

When my contract was up for the year, I called to inquire whether Best could match that price from the other company or, at least, to cut down on the mandatory 6 visits per year to 3. I was ridiculed by the manager about whether I really could get such a price and he advised that 6 visits was necessary for them to make money on my property, so he refused to cut down the visits. I went with the other company, got the price I'd been told about and only have to have 2 visits a year, though I elected to go with 3.

+ -1 moreWe worked with Chris to inspect and tent our home for dry wood termites, take over the Sentricon management for subterranean termite prevention that was managed by another company, and start bi-monthly regular pest control. Since the summer is a busy time for tenting houses we had to wait about 40 days from the inspection to the tenting, but it was worth the wait. Best has roof damage/liability coverage to protect your roof in the event of any damage while tenting, which made us feel better and our roof was not damaged. The tent went on Wednesday, came off Thursday, and aired out on Friday and Saturday. Best does their own tenting and so our job wasn't sub-contracted to some other company. Our home was always locked and nothing was stolen from our house. There was no vandalism. The termites are DEAD! The tenting comes with a 3 year re-tent guarantee at no extra cost. We've had a great time working with Chris, Manny, and the team at Best! We plan on continue using them.

Most of our 2 acres is covered with St. Augustinegrass that has steadily improved over the last few years since Best took over the lawn spraying. I no longer worry about the grass - if I think there may be any kind of insect or disease problem, I call Best and Matt is out right away. I also like the fact their regular service is only 6 times/year instead of monthly. Their fertilization, weed control and insect/disease program is very effective. I would highly recommend Best!

Also Office Staff was always polite and got a technician out to my house as soon as possible in the busy season. I talked to Sarah and she was very good at what she does. Anthony is also very good at what he does

+ -1 moreIt was a nightmare. They were rated A and B on Angie’s list and it was just horrible. They never took care of it properly. They broke the water line behind my refrigerator the first day they came out here. It took them hours to get some one else to do it and it was another pest control guy fixing it. I gave them several chances and they kept billing me. I ended up terminating my contract. The initial charge was $75, and it was $55 every two months. Their price was fine. They were never on time and they even did not show up one time.

+ -1 moreThey showed up every 3 months, we paid every 3 months. No weeds have ever been removed, there's never been any improvement what so ever, but always excuses. Whether it's the weeds from our neighbor's tree, not enough watering, or waiting for the winter frost, there was always a reason why our grass looks just as bad as it did the day we contracted with them. I called to cancel the service today and I was told "A supervisor will have to call me back to confirm the cancellation." That's absurd and of course I never received a call back.

Description of Work: Visited my house because I thought I had mice or rats. Suggested sealing holes outside and putting traps in the attic. 3 weeks and MANY visits later, they have caught one rat in the traps, and my dog has killed one mouse. Yesterday, they broke my attic stairs, which are now stuck hanging down and open into the middle hallway of my house. I was promised the name of a fix it person to get it repaired (although I thought the company should handle it) and still haven't received it. I'm not letting them back into my house to provide any further services and intend to report them to the BBB. I am so frustrated; I am single, work long hours, and don't have time to deal with this (not that anyone should have to). I chose this company beause of their rating on this website and I am very disappointed.

Turns out that there is a difference in the State of Floridas eyes as to whether "Termite Treatment" can be recommended whether you are having an inspection for yourself, or whether there is the sale of a house involved; in the latter it is not exactly clear what the guidelines are, and who makes the rules, the lenders get involved, and there is a lot ambiguity,so they most likely were within their rights, however, I still feel like this is a serious injustice. I have been having my house inspected for years, and have been told that I don't have termites, and then I get inspected to sell, and since at some point in my house from 1955 it had Termite Treatment while owned by someone else, and I don't have a record for it, I have to have it tented, even though no infestation is found. So my house which doesn't have any termites, is right now being tented and fumigated.
Description of Work: Best Termite did an examination of my house and based on evidence that there had previously been termites, but were no live termites now, made a recommendation that my house needed to be tented and treated for termites, as I no longer have the proof of this treatment as we replaced the water heater. (Even though they told they could tell it had been treated). This was then written into the buyers contract for purchase, subsequently causing a chain of events for me to need move out early in order for my buyer to get their loan. However, In reviewing the State of Florida guidelines for this scenario I found the following under State of Florida Dept of Agriculture and Consumer Svcs for FL Homeowners relating to Termites and other Wood Desroying Organisms: "Infestation means the presence of live pests, don't be misled, ask the company representative to show you the live bugs. A reputable, honest inspector will make every effort to differentiate between old, and ongoing activity, and will recommend corrective treatment only when necessary to stop infestation" . It says on my report, I had no live WDO's, and they recommended corrective treatment.

We complained about the plants, which we had been explicitly told could remain where they were. We reported this, but did not receive satisfaction.

We called a few service providers and were very pleased with the response and also professionalism of Best Termite and Pest Control. They were very accurate and did a thorough inspection. When we closed on the home, they were able to tent the home the very next week. We were very happy they could accomodate us because that meant there was nothing in the home during the fumigation so we did not have to worry about our pets, food, etc. at that point. They kept us notified of every step and have a wonderful online billing system that was very simple yet great for someone like me that loves the simplest payment method possible, which is usually online. We have seen no signs of termites, or any other pests, since moving into the home. We will also be getting the home treated for ongoing protection against termites soon and will be utilizing the services of Best Termite at that time. We would highly recommend them to anyone in need of pest control or termite fumigation.
