Very well. They took the outside faucet apart and found an old broken deteriorated chunk of metal inside which was stopping the flow to the irrigation pipes. Kitchen: determined that I needed a new part to my 2yr old faucet. Helped me identify it.

I have an older house, and with that comes some repeated plumbing issues. I used this service on and off for a couple years, and while I always felt the woman on the other end of the phone was less than professional and sometimes downright unfriendly, I tolerated her because I had confidence in the workers. However, when there was an error that was made by the two guys who were working on my pipes, and it caused a complete short-out of the electrical panel on my new HE washer, and over $300 worth of damage, my relationship with the woman who answers the phones went south fast. They fixed the plumbing, and I figured all was back to normal, when I attempted to call them again for service. My intention was to discuss a more intensive repair to my pipes, as I am tired of the clogs that keep happening, however, before I was able to say any more than my pipes are clogged again, I was told no one was available. The woman referred me to another service - Independent Plumbers - who came out, and charged me over $300 to clear a clog that lasted one week. A second attempt at reaching Bel Mar met with such a clipped response, that I never did - nor will I - speak with them about the bigger repair that I want to schedule. In conclusion, even with the mistake that was made with my washer, the plumbers themselves appear to be of quality. The reason I will no longer be using this service solely rests on the discourteous manner in which I have been treated.

The guys that came out to do the service was okay but the female that answered the phone when I was questioning the bill was rude and actually hung up on me. When I mentioned Angie's list she acted like a fool and said that she was so scared and that she could rebuttal anything I said! Bottom line - hard to believe she has been in business this long with that kind of customer service. I will never use them again.

The plumber was here within the estimated time give by the office. He listened to what our concerns were and worked systematically to correct each one. He was thorough, kept the areas clean, and explained everything we asked him to look at. He was also friendly and personable and did not waste any time moving from one task to another. He made certain that we we pleased with the results before he left.

He is an excellent plumber that I've used for the past 20 years. So obviously I'm satisfied with them. They're very responsive. I've gotten to know them personally over the years. They're just very good. I can trust them in every way. A tree root was getting in my pipe, and they cleaned that out, and they put a clean out trap so they can just open it up right there and clean it out if necessary. I haven't had any further problems with it.

I've used Bel-Mar before and as always, they sent someone as quickly as possible. The plumber arrived when he was supposed to, was professional, clean and polite. He explained the problem, showed me the parts and how the connection should have been made and then he was able to make the repair with parts stocked in his truck. He was very concerned about not making a mess (hard to do when you're working with drains!) and did everything he could to keep things clean and dry. In another recent case, I had one of the Bel-Mar plumbers come to the house to clear slow-draining shower drains. I was shown what the problem was and how I could take precautions to avoid having the same problem in the future. The plumber made sure I understood what he was doing and was also concerned about keeping things neat and clean.

On the 1st issue, I called to ask why so many visits for the same toilet and couldn't they please fix all the parts of the toilet on one visit, Denise got testy right off the bat and said if they did that people would get mad. I told her to please mark my file so that when they came to my house they fixed everything they needed to fix on ONE visit. She then told me to get a new plumber. I said fine, but if they wanted that last $90 invoice paid they would have to come back and actually fix the toilet. On 2nd issue, shortly after that my tenant called them for the root problem at the rental property before I had a chance to tell him they were no longer the authorized plumber. They had also given me incorrect information in the past concerning the main sewer line at that property, that in order to replace the main line, I would have to tear up the asphalt driveway thereby increasing the cost a great deal. It was incorrect info.

We have 2 bathrooms with 2 leaking toilets after a remodeling project. Both times Bel-Mar staff came out the were out within 24 hours and got the job done quickly. They were honest about the situation, showed us parts needed and gave us different ways to either save money or do a better job for more money. They also cleaned up afterwards and were polite and friendly.
