It is an older garaged door opener and he said it would eventually need replaced and gave me an approximate price. I would call them again.

Description of Work: I called Banko on a Monday after viewing a TV ad & checking Angie's List. On Tuesday Jim Duckworth did a garage door "tune up" for us. Jim was very professional & explained everything he did. He also explained what we needed to do to keep the door in top running condition. In addition, Jim reset the code for the door. The door now operates much smoother & makes less noise. I would definitely use Banko Over head Doors again.

Description of Work: Chain on 24 year old garage door broke. Called Banko. They Quoted a price almost $100 less than a competitor. Technician arrived on time next day. Was very efficient and friendly. Completed the installation of the new unit in less than one hour. Would definitely recommend and use Banko again.

Description of Work: Company is running a Telvision Add Campaign with great prices on a new garage door, complete with motor and openers, Christmas sale, $800. Called about ordering a new door, spoke to someone who took the details of my concerns with my present door, quoted me a higher price then the advertised price, and explained that this was because my door was a double, and that seemed reasonable.So this was price # 2, $1200. He also said that my existing door could possibly be repaired and said he would send someone to quote me the repairs, vs a new door. A salesman came out, said none of the advertised prices would apply to me, because my door was 8ft high, not 7 feet high, and also said the windows at the top are extra. When I asked him about quoting repairs and maintenance, his comment was "I sell new doors, I can send someone out, but I have no idea what it will cost or whether it will make the door improve.I never got the complete numbers on price number 3, but the range was up over $2000 to $5 or 6! I started to feel like it was a bait and switch - I am not calling on any more "advertised specials" - and I am not using Banko

Description of Work: This was a fabulous experience from start to finish. One of the coils broke on my garage door. This was a big deal for me because I'm handicapped and my scooter/wheelchair was in the garage - and the door wouldn't open. I called and they were very nice and professional. The man I talked to said they would get the job done that day. Unfortunately when the time for the repair arrived, I was called away on an emergency. I talked with Banco and they happily arranged for someone to come later - after hours- and didn't charge me any more. The man showed up at the agreed upon time and quickly fixed the door. This was an excellent experience.

Description of Work: Service provider arrived from Banko Overhead Doors, Inc. on time. He was very courteous and professional. He determined that our large overhead door needed "New Eyes" and also professionally capped off some wires that were taped together which was not to code. He installed the "New Eyes" and then he sprayed lubricant onto the garage rollers and the tracks. He also changed out the weather stripping at the bottom of our big door so the door now totally closes evenly. He then inspected our smaller third garage door and lubricated the tracks and rollers. I could hear the difference after he sprayed both doors. They were quieter and didn't sound like they were working so hard to close or open. I was more than satisfied with the service and professionalism of Banko Overhead Doors, Inc.

Description of Work: I called them at about 10:30 a.m. On Monday and they were fully booked but called me back since an appointment became avilable. They got to my home a little before 5:00 p.m. And finished before 6:30. They were installing a garage door opener from scratch ( no previous equipment was ever there). The guy told me what he was going to do where he put everything and I didn't hear from him until he was done. At that time he went over everything in much detail and was very knowlegable about the product(s) being installed. I will busing them for my doors when I replace them later this year .

Description of Work: One of our garage door springs broke in the afternoon leaving the door locked in the closed position. After checking Angie's List, we contacted Banko. That evening Dan B. with Banko fixed the problem and the door was operational again. Dan arrived at the time we were told he would, was very pleasant, friendly and professionally perform the repair. Also, the price for the repair was reasonable. We will definitely use Banko in the future and recommend them to our family and friends.
