They did a fine job. Their estimate was exactly what they said it was going to be. They did have to come back the next day because the parts were not on the truck.

It took him about an hour to fix it. The worked turned out good.

Since we were a previous customer and an Angie's List customer, we received same day service. They were competitive in pricing and cheaper than most. They used quality parts.

It went excellently. They were very friendly and very helpful. They talked me through fixing it myself so I wouldn't have to pay anything. They are very kind and respectful.

Unfortunately my impression of Banko is not a good one. Although the sales associate was kind and courteous, I felt he did not have a well rounded understanding of the product he was selling. He offered many pamphlets filled with information, but when I asked questions beyond the pamphlet description he was unable to provide me with what I considered adequate responses. Additionally, the sales associate did not have the same type of pamphlet information for the brand of garage door I initially inquired about as he did for the brand of garage door that Banko sells in higher volume. When I explained that I was only interested in one particular brand, he kept pushing the opposing brand without providing a side by side demonstration as to why one brand was better then the other. After the in-home estimate, the sales associate followed up with a phone call the next day. I explained that I was going to use another garage door company. When he asked why, I simply explained that I was not satisfied with the technical/operational information that was given to me. I am more interested in structure & quality then I am in aesthetics of a hurricane resistant garage door. I was surprised to receive a 2nd follow up call three days post my in-home estimate from the sales associates manager. The manager apologized for my unfortunate experience and happened to mention the brand of hurricane resistant garage door I initially called about was in stock and it was being offered at a discount due to over-stock in his warehouse. He emailed me structural sketches & manufacturing information that I never received (but did request) with the sales associate during my original in-home estimate. The manager was very nice & informative; however, I could not get past my initial experience with Banko. I thanked the manager for his thorough follow through and explained that, unfortunately, I was still going to use another company. One week after my new garage door went up (using the "other" garage door company), I was at my neighbor's house across the street and I saw a Banko truck pull up in front of my house. It stopped in front of my house, paused as it analyzed my new garage door then it made a u-turn and pulled away. I suspect this is just a form of marketing analysis of their competitor; however, I could not help but feel uneasy, vulnerable, and upset that they are spying on a competitor at the sake of a consumer. This final experience assured me that I made the right decision in not using their service. Admittedly, if I did not experience this final "drive-by" I would have recommended Banko to anyone shopping around for estimates based on the positive experience I had with the manager.

The were very punctual, friendly, and honest. They appraised over the phone and that was the price I was charged(no hidden charges).

It went well. I did not have any complaints. They showed up on time and they explained everything they were doing. They helped me set all of the remotes and it is working well.

Banko provided us with options and were able to guide us to a perfect product. The installation of the doors and their ongoing service is great.

Excellent experience. Came promptly for estimate. Advised options and value of each. The only high end item he pushed was the opener, the rest of the items (i.e. the door) he tended to focus on the more reasonably priced choices. The actual installation was on time, professional and quick. They also cleaned up after themselves and swept out the garage afterward.

Great! I had a minor problem with existing door. When the tech came out I asked for information to upgrade the door. In less than a week I had the information kit, a discussion with Jason and made a decision. We had to get the approval of our home owners association but that came quickly with the materials Banko supplied. When I called Jason back to place the order, we scheduled a morning for the following week. The installation went smoothly and Henry arranged for the Hillsborough County Inspector to come out today and it passed in just a few minutes. The inspector indicated that Banko does a lot of doors in our area and there are seldom difficulties signing off.

They were efficient and professional, the job was done well. They came when they said they would come, they cleaned up after themselves and took the old garage door like they said they would. If they said they would do it they did.

My garage door motor stopped working and I was able to schedule someone to come out 2 days later. They offered to simply replace the motor. I decided at that time to go ahead a replace the motor and put in a new wind rated door. I was given a booklet of information on doors and motors. Robert went over the options in detail and I decided which ones seemed to work best for me. A work day was scheduled within the week. The technician was there promptly at 7am to begin work. The entire process was done by noon.

Excellent. From the time I called for an estimate to the finished product, Banko provided exceptional customer service.

Technician arrived at 7:40 AM, which was delightful since I was waiting on the repair to get to work. I was actually on my way to work by 8:10 AM. Doors required a minimum adjustment to roll smoothly and close again. Tech responded to my questions regarding hurricane worthiness of the door with specific information that I could understand. Although he stated this is a hurricane door, we are considering up grading the door. This is not the first time we've used them. Several years ago they replaced broken springs and in 2/07 the opener failed completely and we upgraded the power level in the new one. Each time the call was handled in a professional and timely manner both when I made the call and by the tech coming to the scene.

When I called, the customer service representative asked me what was the problem. As I didn't know the scope of problems, she helped me understand better what to look for so I could provide some diagnosis. In particular, I noticed that the door springs were broken. I set up an appointment for them to be repaired. When the technician arrived as scheduled, he discovered that the old opening unit was also burned out and would need to be repaired or replaced. The unit was almost 20 years old, so I opted to replace. That meant repairs had to take place the next day as he did not have a new opener unit in his truck. He clearly explained the different options available and answered all my questions so I could select the right unit for our needs and possible future changes to the garage door. He arrived the next day also exactly when scheduled and proceeded to make all repairs. He advised on how to maintain the door tracks to maintain the doors with the same smooth and quiet operation. All the Banko personnel I interacted with were friendly, professional, informative, and provided timely communication.

I had a brand new Craftsman system waiting to be installed the next time my nearly 18-year old one decided to act up. As usual, it decided to malfunction late on a Thursday night. So I originally called another company who had serviced my opener back in October, but despite my desperate pleas for help (my door kept opening & shutting on its own), I was told I'd have to wait until Monday. A friend told me about Banko, so I called to see if they could squeeze me in. They were incredibly nice from the get-go, and understood my sense of urgency to get it either repaired or replaced. They assured me they would be at my house same day (and they were), and the young man who installed the new opener was very professional, super speedy, and respectful. They only charged me $98 to install -- the other company wanted $290 because this qualified as "an emergency call," and would charge an additional $127 to install. I'm thrilled with Banko and would definitely use them again!

Several months ago the spring on my garage door broke and I called Banko to fix it. I was impressed with the service. I then realized my garage door was about 20 years old and wanted to replace it with a hurricane resistant door. I called Banko and a nice young man came by and gave an estimate. I was happy with the price but in the interim the garage door opener did not operate properly. I called and advised that if the installer could not fix the opener he should bring a new opener with him, which he did. The installer was to come between 8am and 12 noon. He arrived at 8:30am and was finished by 1:30pm.

They were excellent. They were prompt, efficient, and affordable.

Excellent. Came to site at time agreed upon. Cleaned up and demonstrated operation.

Efficient work, gave some incorrect information regarding automobile ''HomeLink'' working with new openers. Did not want to bother with looking at our rollers and doors as we requested. Manager did not voice mail left after job completion.

THE ONLY SNAG WAS THAT THE SECOND TECHNICIAN WAS SUPPOSED TO CALL ME AT WORK THE NEXT DAY ABOUT 2:00 SO I COULD LEAVE WORK AND MEET HIM AT MY HOUSE SO HE COULD REPLACE THE SPRING. NO ONE CALLED, AND I HAD BEEN HOVERING AROUND MY DESK, NOT STARTING WORK I COULDN'T EASILY STOP ECT. I CALLED THEM ABOUT 4:00 AND WAS TOLD THAT THE TECH WAS DOING OTHER JOBS AND THAT IT MIGHT BE COUPLE OF HOURS BEFORE HE COULD GET TO ME. HE DIDN'T CALL, BUT HE CAME TO MY HOUSE IN ABOUT 1 1/2 HOURS AND QUICKLY COMPLETED THE WORK. HE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL & PERSONABLE.

RICH, THE REP WAS VERY POLITE AND HELPFUL. HE CAME EARLY AND IT DID NOT TAKE HIM LONG TO COMPLETE THE WORK. HE SPRAYED ALL THE CONNECTION WITH A LUBRICANT AND THE DOOR HAS NEVER WORKED THAT QUIETLY. PRICE WAS REASONABLE. WILL CALL THE COMPANY AGAIN TO CHECK ON PRICES FOR NEW DOORS.

HE WAS WONDERFUL. HE SHOWED UP CLEAN AND NEAT. HE WAS POLITE AND PROMPT. I COULD NOT HAVE ASKED FOR ANYONE BETTER.

I'M GIVING THIS MERCHANT AN OVERALL SCORE OF A ''C'' ONLY BECAUSE I HAVEN'T SEEN THE QUALITY OF THEIR WORK. ON MY SECOND APPOINTMENT I TOOK THE DAY OFF ON UNPAID TIME FROM WORK AND WAITED FOR THEM. I CALLED THE MAIN OFFICE THROUGHOUT THE DAY WHO COULDN'T GIVE ME AN ESTIMATE BUT ASSURED ME THEY WOULD BE THERE. WHEN THEY DID NOT SHOW UP THE SECOND TIME I DIDN'T EVEN GET AS MUCH AS AN APOLOGY. THIS MERCHANT ACTS AS IF THEY DON'T NEED MY BUSINESS, SO MY BUSINESS WILL GO ELSEWHERE.

THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL. THEY ARRIVED ON TIME AND INSTALLED THE NEW DOOR OPENER QUICKLY AND NEATLY. THEY ALSO TOOK THE TIME TO SHOW US ALL FEATURES AND HOW TO OPERATE THE OPENER. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM.
