Excellent. Couldn't be more satisfied. The technician was on time, knowledgeable, and very efficient. Problem solved. Plus, the price was good.

I emailed the company last week and provided them with a choice of days that I would be available. No one responded or called me so I was surprised when the repairman appeared at my door. He immediately went to work and repaired the garage door and was finished in 30 minutes. I was presented with the bill upon completion and as I did not receive an estimate was unsure of what the cost would be. The repairman was very friendly and professional.

As previously stated the company performed in a very professional manner. Beginning with an evaluation, recommendation, installation and follow-up.

Banko came out to look at the problem. To be honest, I wasn't crazy about the guy who came out. He seemed pre-occupied or something. He correctly said it needed a new pulley, but that Banko didn't have Genie parts and it would take 1-2 weeks to get it in. That's after I was told on the phone that they did have that brand of parts. After a couple of days of not hearing anything from them, I called and told them what happened. They were very nice and responsive and said they'd order it and it would be there in two days. They called when it came in--early--and came right over. It was a different man this time, and he was super nice and efficient. He had the part, replaced it and oiled the door. He noticed how hard it was to slide the back gate open, and I saw him out there oiling it without my asking. It now runs smoothly. He was very pleasant, and knowledgeable. I would call them again if I needed their services, but would specify that they not send the gentleman (I won't say his name here) who came out the first time.

Great response time - they came out the same day I called. I was quoted $235 over the phone, which was less than any other quote I received for replacing both springs. Quality was excellent along with a very professional repair person. He was running late, but he called to notify me that he was running late due to traffic. He not only repaired the springs, but took the time to explain exactly how I should continue to maintain all the parts of the opener. I would definitely use them again and would highly recommend to anyone.

The experience was very good. He didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. He said I didn't need anything new and cleaned and greased everything up and said to call him in a year or so. He seemed honest and I will use him again.

At a time when I thought that everything that could possibly go wrong in one month had already occurred, I drove up my driveway an pushed the garage door opener. Nothing happened. When I got inside the house, I checked Angie's list, chose to cal Banko Doors, and was able to schedule an appointment for the same day. Scottie arrived right on time and proceeded to assess the situation. I fully expected a really good sales pitch for a new door, etc. However, after inspecting the entire system, Scottie explained what needed to be done and told me that the garage door and opener still had some useful time left. He then explained what needed to be done, and when I agreed he immediately started to work. What he was able to accomplish in an hour and a half was impressive, and when he was finished everything ran smoothly and the door worked better than it did when it was newly installed. Pat Lessard

The installer arrived at 8:10am and finished in about an hour. He was polite, thorough and took all of his trash with him. The garage door opens perfectly, can't really ask for more. I highly recommend Banko for any garage door opener service.

Recently purchased a home that had a broken garage door opener. Banko was recommended to me by a builder friend. I wasn't sure if the motor needed repair or replacement. The tech came out for free, assessed the problem and recommended replacement of the old unit. Their price was very comparable to Home Depot, if you have it installed by Home Depot. The installer came in the time frame promised and within an hour had the new unit installed and working. He gave me a very thorough tutoring on how to use the various components and the outside keypad. So far it has worked very well and I couldn't be happier with the whole process. My garage door now works flawlessly, is quiet and dependable.

Originally, the springs on our garage door broke. The first repairmen from Banko (Brett) replaced them and notified us that we would continue to have problems with the opener and the door because of age, ( some gears in the garage opener had broke - and the door had actually folded during the time of the previous owners of the house living where we now are) and other problems. He was very polite and gave us the brochure to look at. No pressure whatsoever to use them. When my wife shopped around for the best deal, it was the courtesy, professionalism, and prices from Banko that persuaded us to use them. Jason was very helpful in explaining to my wife the different types of doors, as well as the possibility of having the door cosmetically match our house. When the installer for the new door and opener arrived (Unfortunately I cannot remember his name), he introduced himself and went right to work. When I had a question, he was polite and answered it promptly. After installing the new door and opener, he took all of the old items and placed them in his vehicle. He then explained all that we needed to know about what he had done (I really appreciated this), even though he had another client to go to. Overall, it has been a very good experience. I would also like to comment that Banko went and applied on our behalf for the permit to carry out the new project as well as making the follow up for the inspector to come.

My garage door opener, after 25 years, decided to call it quits. Fair enough. Since I don't know notice my garage door opener except when it doesn't work, I decided to call several places to get price quotes and learn a thing or two in the process. When I called Banko, Scotty was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions, even the ones I had to ask twice. Banko is the only company I called that included a door balance with a new opener. That makes perfect sense, it would be like buying new tires and having to pay extra to have them balanced. Banko was easily $200 less than the closest estimate I got from other companies. The technician (I am loathe to say I neglected to get his name - sorry) was on time, pleasant and got the job done in the exact time he said he would. He walked me thru the new opener, left me some silicone to keep the door lubricated properly and left my garage just as he found it. What a wonderful experience. Thanks, Banko!

My experience with Banko Overhead Doors was very good. The quote process was very easy. The installation guy showed up on time. The installation took longer than I had anticipated, but they hadn't quoted how long it would take so that was fine. He cleaned up afterwards. It went very well.

The job went wonderfully well. I had reviewed the available garage door openers on Banko's website, so I already knew the kind of unit I wanted. The person I spoke to on the phone was knowledgeable and helpful.

I realized during the late afternoon that one of the springs on my garage door opener was broken and would not allow the garage door to open more than 12". My car was stuck inside the garage, and even trying as hard as I could, I was not able to manually raise the garage door alone. I quickly checked Angie's LIst and called this highly rated garage door company. I would not be disappointed. Scott in the service department took my call. When I explained that I had an appointment that required that I leave the house in 1 1/2 hours, he said that all of his technicians were busy and couldn't get to me by then, but that he could. He said he would be finished in the office by 4:30 PM and would drive from his office in Tampa to my home in North Pinellas County after that time. He was true to his word. As soon as he arrived, Scott opened the garage door and made sure that I could get my car safely out of the garage so that I could leave in case he was not able to finish quickly. No worries on that front. Scott quickly went about his work and was finished in about 30 minutes. He even made sure to lubricate all of the hinges on the garage door, which is so much quieter now. Thanks, Scott! I was able to leave for my appointment on time, and my garage door works perfectly now. Scott definitely came to my rescue today. Scott's ability to fix my garage door isn't what impressed me the most...it was his fantastic customer service and his dedication to his company's name that won me over. Well done!

Called Banko as they were the original installer of the door. Got an explanation of their costs - $225 for 2 springs replaced...no additional fees...period. I asked them to schedule it and she had an opening for that afternoon. Within 10 minutes of hanging up the phone, the worker was at my door. He happened to be in the area! Within an hour of hanging up the phone, my door was fixed, warranty in place and door tested and checked to ensure it worked properly. He even reset the garage door opener to make sure it wasn't damaged from the spring breaking. WELL DONE BANKO.

I called on a Sunday morning for an emergency appt. With Isaac approaching, I wanted to get my car in the garage. I was concerned that my opener was not securely attached to the garage ceiling (due to roof leaks causing drywall damage to the garage ceiling from Tropical Storm Debby). I got a call back in a half hour, and an appointment was made for the next hour. Scott was here exactly on time. He replaced the short bolts into the ceiling beams with much longer & stronger bolts, also noticed my hurricane-reinforced door had been installed (by a competitor) with most of the required screws missing, which he explained were necessary for the door's strength during a windstorm. He installed all necessary hardware, as well as lubrication, tune-up, etc. My garage door never opened so quietly and the opener unit's light bulbs now work! I truly appreciate the prompt and professional service.

garage door wouldn't open. They were 99% certain what the problem was based on my description of the issue when I called (broken spring), and were able to give me a price on such a repair before coming out. They made it out same day, within hours (previous company I called couldn't schedule us until days later). While here and at it, they got one of my car remotes working, which had been inoperable, and replaced our broken keypad for a nominal additional charge.

I contacted Banko Overhead Doors and two other companies highly rated in Angies Lists for estimates to replace 2 "vintage" single panel steel garage doors. Dan, a Banko sales/service technician arrived as scheduled and explained in detail garage door and installation features and services offered by Banko. I found him particularly knowledgeable and articulate. I scheduled installation a couple weeks later through Jason, BANKO's lead sales associate. During our conversation and contract review he was able to further reduce the costs making BANKO 15% less expensive than their competitors. A week later the installer (Joe) exactly met his scheduled appointment and did an excellent job installing the doors. He noticed a factory flaw on one of the door panels which I never would have noticed and scheduled a return visit to replace that particular panel. A service technician arrived as scheduled and replaced the flawed panel. A BANKO service tech also replaced a component in one of the door openers at minimal cost saving me money on a new opener. All in all an excellent experience with an excellent company who has their act together.

I had a garage door that shimmied and creaked whenever it opened or closed. I called Banko Overhead Garage doors on Saturday and they set an appointment for Monday morning. Their technician, Brett, was right on time, conducted an evaluation of the problem and surmised that the only thing that needed to be done was to replace the four rollers due to the bearings being worn - actually "shot" - hence, this was causing the shaking and creaking. He had the required parts on his truck, performed the replacement and lubrication on the "problem" door. While here, he assessed my second garage door, which I had not mentioned to their customer service when scheduling the appointment. It is not used as much and I wasn't experiencing any problems with it. Brett decided that it just needed to be lubricated - which he did. I am totally pleased with my entire experience with Banko and highly recommend them. There is nothing negative to report.

Excellent customer service from start to finish. They delivered what was promised in a very professional manner.

Dan was on time and very courteous and helpful. Turns out the people at the office didn't know to ask if our opener was older than 1993 which meant that in order to do the sensor, we needed a new opener! There was nothing wrong with our current opener but we wanted to be sure that our neighbor's dog or anyone else gets injured. I might regret that decision if I'm closing the door because an alligator is coming in but I hope that never happens. Dan did the entire installation himself, could not believe how he did it but I'd check on him & he was doing fine. I think he did a "tune-up" on the garage door too and now it's much quieter than it was! We are VERY happy with the service we got from Banko and Dan was really professional and knowledgeable!!!

The tech from Banko came out about 9:00-10:00am, and he was finished by 4:00pm. I was very happy with the price and the quality of the workmanship. The doors themselves were not as thick as my old ones, so that is why I gave the "quality" a B, but my old doors were over 27 yrs old. Overall, the work was good, and everything(contract, permits, payment) went smoothly as planned - no oops, or surprises!

The work that Banko Overhead Doors did on our garage has held up. We were satisfied with their work. The work required was pretty basic. They came out and did what they said they were going to do for the price they said it would cost.

The worker came on time and was very professional. The old door and hardware were removed and the new door was installed. The process took about three hrs. The quality of the door and the instillation were just what we expected.They cleaned up and left us with a great garage door. Supper Job! Banko. I would deffinatly recommend the to anyone who need a great garage door.

The serviceperson was thorough and spent a lot of time explaining what was needed and what was good and bad about the existing doors. He did some tune up and was not pushing about selling extra services.
