The technician went above and beyond what I expected. The door was adjusted and lubricated. Now the door opens smoothly and is very quiet.

Banko did a great job. I am very pleased with the door and all of it's features. They even called me, after I contracted them for the job, to tell me that the next better door was going on sale at a lower price than I would be paying. Not only did I get an even better door, but I saved a few dollars also. They will be my 'go to' guys for all overhead doors problems in the future.

I was returning home from lunch when Rod from Banko Overhead Doors called to tell me he was at my home. I gave him the numbers for my outside key pad. This might have been a bad idea since I didn?t know Rod and had never done business with Banko. In the few minutes it took to get home, he was just finishing up the first service call on my garage door since Banko installed it eight years ago, when the house was built. Now, much quieter. Much smoother. He told me that nylon rollers would last just as long as metal ones. But, my metal ones should last another couple of years ? until my next recommended adjustment. Then, they could replace the metal rollers with nylon ones for even more quiet operation. He gave me some maintenance tips, and was off to the next customer. Excellent value for my $75. Tips on garage door maintenance: Once or twice a year put a puff of silicone spray on each side of each hinge and where the rod attaches to each wheel. Also run a bead of silicone spray along each spring. To check the springs: open the garage door, pull the manual release, walk over and lower the door until it?s half open, let go. If the door stays put, it?s OK. If the door goes up or down, call Banko for an adjustment. I told Rod I had heard about Banko from Jack Harris on AM Tampa Bay on 970 AM WFLA before looking them up on Angie?s List. He told me they originally planned on using Ted Webb as their spokesman. But, Banko could not find any legitimate work to be done on Ted Webb?s garage doors. Ted told them he couldn?t, in good conscience, talk about Banko since he really had no experience with them. Banko then turned to Jack Harris. Jack actually did need garage door work done, liked the work they did, and is now their spokesman. It just seemed right that Banko made such an effort to find a spokesperson with the same honesty and integrity that the Banko people have.

Smoothly, efficiently and professionally

Having used Banko previously, we knew that they did extremely good work and were reasonably priced. So, we contacted them when our garage door opener malfunctioned. My initial contact showed the same courtious and informative feedback to my questions. As did the scheduling and installation of a new opener. They showed-up within the scheduled time and completed the installation in a timely and professional manner. They are good!!!

The service was great and they already have lots of reviews about their great work. I liked that they came out right away. I will use them again in the future.

I called Banko and a few other A rated players intent on having a new garage door opener installed. I described my issue to Banko's over the phone estimator and instead of trying to upsell me, he suggested that their tech assess the situation first and see whether they could save me money by simply fixing the existing door opener. Bold idea. They gave me a two hour window the next day, the tech shows up on time and within 10 minutes shows me what the problem is and tells me he'll have it working in 15 minutes. 20 minutes later he's driving away and I've got a fully functional garage door opener for $200 less than I thought it was going to cost me. Now I ended up putting that $200 on the 6 horse the next day so that money's gone anyway, but that's not the point. The point is the these guys had ample opportunity to take more of my money (I was happy with the number they gave me for the new opener) but they didn't because they are honest business people. Imagine that.

My garage door would not open. Troubleshooting determined that only an adjustment was necessary. Work was done correctly and efficiently. I was very satisfied.

The service tech was timely and friendly. He ended up programming my car to open my garage door and I didn't have to buy a remote control. Will definitely use for all my garage door needs in the future.

After arriving home this afternoon before 4 PM and parking my car in the garage I was underjoyed to hear horrible sounds coming from the opening and closing of garage door. Tried opener again only to hear a grinding racket and absolutely NO MOVEMENT by garage door. Spent a very few minutes trying to decide my next course of action and __ get online to Angie'sLost now! Looked through the providers that could support my problem area and, after reading reviews one of which had the same grinding noise description, opted to call Banko Overhead Doors for possible service. Can you believe this.....person asked if I'd like a technician to come later between 6:00 - 7:00 PM. I was delighted with that response and committed to a visit. Technician telephoned a few minutes after 5:00 PM to say he would be here in 30 minutes.....EARLIER than anticipated!! Big plus in my experience with repair persons/businesses. Took the nice man less than 30 minutes to perform as a surgeon specializing in garage doors.....Examined the patient (my door), determined the necessary procedure (gear kit), removed the offending body part (gear), declared the patient ready for discharge (my clue to pay for the service) and departed to answer another service call. WOW....this is when I became the pigeon, not the statue! My spirits soared as now all was well and right with the world.....My garage door opener is in great shape with a longer life expectancy than I anticipated.Story is told in detail above.....can't say enough NICE things about Banko Overhead Doors in terms of response and service!!

The service turned out very well. They are coming out to resolve an issue. Out of 3 quotes their was the best.

They were quick. I think they did a really good job of cleaning. Everything works. They did a good job. I didn't shop around, their reputation was truly what I went with. The garage door passed inspection and it looked good.

They were on time and did a marvelous job.

I had them rework the opening so the doors opened higher into the garage than the original configuration which left us with lots more headroom. They also did not trust the existing wall tie-ins which the building inspector noted as a good sign of quality work.

Saturday afternoon (late) walked into the house, pressed the garage button to close for the night as usual and all of a sudden heard this horrific grinding sound!! Thought for sure I had closed the door right into the rear end of my van!!! Closer inspectioin showed that the cable on the garage door that attaches to the end of the door had simply unraveled!!! Didnt look like something I even wanted to attempt. Scarey stuff!! lol Heard of Banko, did my checking on Angie's, as usual and called them Sunday morning. Gene was professional and very informative, but told me honestly that it would be more expensive to come on the weekend, if I could wait a day, that I could save 75 dollars. He gave me a verbal estimate of $75 and a time frame of 8-10 am to have someone there Monday morning to take a look. Sure enough Monday morning about 8:45 got the knock and Bob walk in! Nice guy, took a look, grab his tools and was done, fixed and outa here in 30 minutes or so and charged me EXACTLY what Gene had quoted me the day before. Didnt know if they spoke or not, but I was impressed that the final cost was exactly what Gene has said it would be. Would and will be hiring these boys again!!!

We were very pleased with them. They came on time, maybe even a little early. They were very quick and efficient.

Garage door stopped working because one of the torsion springs broke. Had him replace both torsion springs, and the took the opportunity to go ahead and replace the rollers as well. Technician arrived on time, and quoted a fair price. Wasn't trying to get more work or anything, I had him do the extra spring because I wanted to. Nice guy, and he even went the extra mile by trying to chip away some of the concrete that was preventing the weather stripping from sealing properly. I'll definitely call them again when I need service.

I spoke with 4 companies in total about our garage door (single 8'x7'). All came from reviews on Angies List. (Learned my lesson after a terrible experience with windows). I liked the Banko estimator the best of the group and the company's willingness to do more than their competitors and match their price to boot. Installer was on time, polite and got right to work. He was very efficient and did a great job. Spent time explaining everything after the install and even left me with a can of silicone to spray the hinges down the road. Another thing I liked was the thank you note for their initial visit, follow up email and then a prompt thank you note when the work was done. Reflects their professionalism and appreciation for my business.

The serviceman called on his way to let me know that he was coming. It was at the front end of the time range they gave us. He came in and checked out the door and made his recommendation to replace the unit. In the end it will save us money and the problem was fixed. I was happy with his overall professionalism and would recommend them in the future.
