When I called to make the appointment, the company had no problem working around my schedule to set a date and time. On the day of the appointment, the technician was very courteous and professional and was very thorough in checking the operation of the garage door. Originally I had called because the door was very loud when opening and closing so he inspected and treated the rollers. After inspecting the door, he noticed that it was not leveled correctly, leaving a gap on one side at the bottom. He made the necessary adjustments so the door now sits level. In addition, he recommended replacement of the strip at the bottom to help prevent any unwanted pests. I felt the work was quality and the service was honest. Instead of telling me I had to replace the rollers, he recommended that he make the adjustments and hopefully I'll get a few more years out of them before they need to be replaced. I always appreciate a company that doesn't try to sell me something I don't need. I will definitely do business with Banko Doors again in the future.

I went to the store on Crenshaw to purchase a new trolley for my garage door opener. I also inquired about new rollers. Micheal stated he could send a man out and perform a garage door tune up and he would install the trolley and replace any bad rollers at the same time. I asked about availability (since my door trolley was busted) and he told me they could have some one stop by at 3-5 on the next day for tune up for $100 plus parts. I agreed and we set the appointment. Around 4pm I called and got person who wasn't aware of the appointment. He said he'd call back. He did call back and assured me that someone would be there. I called back at 445 and no one answered. I then contacted the office on the 6th and left a message for a call back to find out what happened. As of the end of the day on the 7th no one called me back..

Garage door did not open consistently. Finally it stayed closed. Called Banko and they sent a technician. He went about correcting the problem. I noticed he was very careful in balancing the weight of the door but he did not stop there. He made other adjustments which should have been made more carefully by the original installer, he lubricated the system and he improved the contact of the bottom gasket with the floor. If I need to have work done in the future I would request the same technician, Tanker Pruitt

The Banko Overhead people were very prompt in responding to my inquiry and a repairman came over the next day to help me in my order. He answered all of my questions politely and clearly, ordered the panel and vinyl stripping and then changed out the light bulb in the garage door opener. His quote was clear and was the amount that I eventually paid the second man who came the next week. The second man was very proficient and was able to complete the whole job within 40 minutes. I would recommend this company to any and all.

Received quotes from various installers. Chose Banko because of their ability to install the jack shaft opener I wanted. Other installers had told me it could not be done.

The repair person called us the next day and asked if he could come early which was fine with us. He showed up and immediately diagnosed and fixed the problem with the erratic door operation. He also identified a part of the opener mechanism that was failing and replaced it. He was courteous and friendly and helpful. We have used Banko before and they have always provided comptent and rapid service. I would recommend them to anyone.

If you need a garage door opener installed, just call this company. The technician was on time, and completed the project in just over an hour- that is FAST. He consulted with me as to where I wanted my touch pad before mounting it, showed me all of the components and how to use everything, and even checked the condition of my garage door and oiled the tracks. We got a higher end piece of equipment, and it is installed perfectly; it's very quiet,and all the remotes work at pretty much any angle. The technician also told me if anything seemed wrong, not to touch anything and to call them, and they would come out and make any necessary adjustments. Considering the value of the equipment, the quality of installation, and the company backing their product, the price was fantastic. Very impressed and would recommend to anyone.

The technician was professional and courteous and arrived on time. He immediately knew what our problem was (quick efficient diagnosis), had the necessary parts in his van (no waiting for parts to be ordered), replaced the broken springs and provided lubrication treatment for the tracks. My husband and I have used Banko before and have always had great service and highly recommend this business.

Brett called about 12:30 saying he'd be here in 30 minutes and that was very accurate though much earlier than my appointment was. He checked everything out to see if I had interference coming from somewhere, checked the door safety feature to be sure it was still aligned right and all checked out but openers still didn't work right. So he replaced two computer boards (did one first and checked it & it didn't work) so did receiver board. Then had to replace the two openers too and all of this at no charge because Banko installed everything for us! I was thrilled that they did "right" by us after all the $ we spent on the hurricane door and opener! I was THRILLED and shocked that we weren't charged for fixing this stuff since it was all pretty new, I thought and luckily so did they!! Great customer service to put it mildly!! I would HIGHLY recommend Banko for anyone needed any garage work done - they are honest people without having to be asked!! Sharon

We called Banko because our automatic garage door chain had come off the track. This was not an emergency so I told them the next day was fine for a service call. The technician arrived right on time and fixed it quickly. He was very polite and professional and we will definitely use them in the future. Thanks Banko!

My garage door opened failed the night before I had an inspection on my home that I'm selling. I needed it fixed ASAP I waited until 5am the morning of the inspection to see if it would miraculously start working again... (it didn't) So I called the emergency number. Dan B was at my house in 30 minutes and fixed the problem while also giving my garage door a tune up. Yes I paid an extra $70 for the after hours call out, but the piece of mind that I gained was worth every penny. On top of all that, everyone I woke up was very nice, and courteous. Dan was also very pleasant at such an early time. I 100% recommend Banko

Today 11//2014, I waited all morning for the repairman from Banko Overhead inc and waited until 1:00pm and no one call or show to have my garage door fix. I decided to call the company and the people I talk did not have anything showing my appointment for the day. All they keep telling me was that the only appointment was for the estimate on 10/30/2014. I explained that I have a copy of the invoice showing that the appointment was for today and also that I have a message from them in my voice mail confirming the appointment. Finally after trying to get something from them I told the person that I talked that forget about this order and that I would not recommend anyone to make deals with an irresponsible company. I don't understand why this people could not get in touch with the person that was here an give the estimate and see what happen. Well I don't have to worry anymoe about them but the truth is that I will never make anymore business with them. They need to be better organized. Jorge

Representative arrived on time and quickly replaced the stripping and completed an inspection on the entire door. He also lubed all hinges and answered all my questions. Great service. Great experience.

From initial contacts with their salesperson, to help identify work that would need to be done in our aging garage (built sometime in the 1920s) to support modern garage doors, through excellent work done by a contractor they recommended, and ultimately the professionalism and knowledge shown by their installer, the whole process was a pleasure. Given that this "garage" was an aging wood structure built 90-odd years ago, I expected there to be issues. Luckily, the door openings were appropriately sized and could be adapted (after some termite damage mitigation by a contractor they recommended, who was also excellent) to modern garage doors. We now have a "modern" garage, and we have Banko to thank. We'd definitely refer others to them, and use them for any future service needs.

We decided to replace and update our 15 yr old garage door after the opener and spring failed. We researched and had decided on color, construction and options on manufacturers sites. We chose Banko doors because of the professional presentation, price, as well as the positive feedback on this site. Our installer was scheduled to show between 12-2, called to say he would be delayed, and arrived just after 3. He was thorough in explaining what we were getting, and what he would be doing. Although his installation time estimate of "a couple of hours " was optimistic, to his credit he worked continuously until after 9. The door was functional, but he said he wanted to return in the morning to install the exterior cosmetic handles so they would be precise. He showed up at 9 as he said. He installed the handles in 15 minutes and made sure our questions were answered. Overall, a very good experience from a company we would recommend.

The spring on my garage door broke as I was leaving the house. I called Banko and left a message, which was promptly returned. I was able to schedule a service call for that day. The technician arrived on time and fixed it in less than 30 minutes. They suggested I replace both springs, which I did.

First of all, this is unusual for this company, but I believe all interactions should be noted. I called for an appointment and was given 9/2/2014 11a-1p. At 2:45p I called the office because no one came and no calls. I was advised they would find out what happened and call me back. At 5:45 I called back and advised no one called and was told the insulation had not been available and they would reschedule for 9/3 between 3-5 and make sure the installer would have the materials on his truck (no reason given for the entire appointment to be missed). The installer did come on 9/3 and added the insulation, however, he had the wrong rollers and couldn't complete the work order. He said someone would be out on 9/4 between 3-5 for the rest of the work. Finally, the work was completed. They did credit me a small amount for the delays and I do appreciate that. As I said in the beginning, this is a very good company who I have used several times in the past without a problem and I will continue to use them

The technician who came out to look at our existing door and make recommendations was extremely professional. He was very knowledgeable about not only the old door and opener we had but also what kind of doors were needed for our area (we live close to the water - hurricane flood and wind hazard zone) as well as our intended use of the garage. The technician left brochures and materials along with an estimate of costs. From this point, a sales professional for the company took over providing us additional information via telephone and email as well as answering questions (even over a weekend) and providing us with several quotes for materials and labor. Once the decision was made, the company quickly scheduled a date for removal and installation of the new door - permitting was delivered in the mail within the week and the installer/technician was out several days later. The technician worked professionally, was clean and cleaned up after himself, hauled away all of the old door and materials, was patient with showing us how to use the new equipment, showed us how to do basic maintenance and ensured our cars' integrated openers were working, etc. All-in-all, Banko provided a complete service from beginning to end. Was exceptionally professional and now we have a safe, quiet door that works every time we push the button on the openers! We are extremely pleased with the service we received.

Before calling Banko, I had received a quote from a store and another garage door company to replace my garage door. I called and asked for a quote. I like that they send confirmation e-mails for appointments. Robbie was the sales consultant. He said that my garage door opener was fine and that I would just need a new garage door. I thought that he would just leave a quote. However, he wanted to discuss the options and what I was thinking about the purchase. I was not expecting that. I had not put my dog away in the house. So I asked him to sit on my back porch in 85 degree heat. He was very gracious. The prices were similar to the other company. I did agree to get a better quality door than I was originally thinking. That is because Robbie took the time to review the options and prices with me. The door was ordered that day and the installation appointment was scheduled for two weeks later. The day before the installation, I received the appointment confirmation e-mail. Joe arrived as scheduled. He did the full install by himself. He was very nice. He told us how to care for the door and what to expect for the permit inspection. The permitting company that they use was fine. I am very happy with the whole experience.

I called Banko Overhead doors around 10 AM and spoke to Brittany in service. I told her my springs broke on the garage door and if it's possible to have service come out that day. She said yes, we can get service between 11am-1pm and sent me a conformation e-mail. I received a call from the installer that he was on the way. The installer arrived around 12:15. The installer was Dan B. He was very professional and informative. He replaced the 2 tension springs and did a tune-up. Great Job! Thank you Brittany and Dan

Company provided same day service, after normal business hours, with no additional cost. Serviceman was excellent, experienced and nice to have working in my garage. Price was consistent with other companies I checked. Delighted with the service.

Arrived on time' work performed was professional ,installer pleasant and informative. Good experience, building inspector came today to sign off on the door and said it was done very well he said that he never has any concerns with doors installed by Banko " they do a fine job"
