 + -1 moreThe end result was fine the process frustrating the salesman told me they would be there at 7AM on Friday and the tent would be up all weekend off first thing Monday morning They came 7 PM put the tent up but did not pump the gas until Sunday therefore I did not receive the benefit of the gas working for several days just a few hours. Also the tent did not come down until late Monday afternoon so I could not get back in my house until Tuesday morning. So I was out of my house considerably longer then needed. There is a yearly fee for the warranty so I will use them if needed again.

 + -1 moreFrom the start I had to chase them to schedule them to come out to my home. After signing with them it was more than three weeks before I actually got service. On their watch I have been overcome with weeds in my yard. Two of my palms have died, and two or more may be on its way out without even so much as a heads up that there may be something wrong with them. I was informed that there may be a deficiency on my biggest palm, but that was it. The biggest palm is not in question here. The pest service that they provided was ok. The bait that they used only killed the ones that came into the house, and not the colony. I ended up taking care of the pest problem myself with what I found on the internet. The pest guy himself was rushed the first time, and upon call back he made his way back and put down bait. I have no real qualms with the guy himself. He seemed to know what he was doing, and was nice, but I felt like just killing the ants that were coming in and not the colony was the wrong way to go. I called to cancel my service and I was greeted by what was (I’m guessing) a receptionist who just took my message. I was called back about two days later and ask if I wanted to cancel my services by what I think as was the manager. He asked why I was canceling my service and I explained to him why as I did the receptionist, and with what I perceived as an and quot;I don't give a sh*t' attitude he responded with and quot;I'm sorry that we could not meet your expectationsand quot;. I only had them for a short time, and I had to chase them to get them to come to my home to do the service. When they did it was difficult to notice that they even did anything. For all I know they walked around the house and put a generic pamphlet on my door saying what they did. Maybe I'm wrong and they did do something, but my yard is covered in weeds, and my palms are nearly all dead. I understand that they have a palm program, but a heads up that my plants are about to die would be great from someone that is supposed to be taking care of my lawn.

 + -1 moreI purchased a coupon for $100 through Angie's list for Bay Area Pest control to provide 1 time pest control and thorough termite inspection. The agreement in the coupon said someone would contact me in 2 business days. 3 business days went by with no call/contact, so I called them. The lady that answered the phone didn't know anything about a coupon through Angie's list but said someone would call me back. No one called. I called back again 3 days later and left a VM saying that if someone is not going to help me, I was going to cancel my payment. Someone called back that day, scheduled service directly with my rental tenant and performed the pest control service. The tenant called me and indicated she didn't really see any review of termite inspection but wasn't paying close enough attention to say for sure. A week later, I get a bill for $70 with the description of "1 time pest control"...no mention of termite inspection, no report on findings from inspection, no phone call from Bay Area pest control with results of termite inspection. So, I'm left thinking I over paid on the Angie's list coupon by $30 for a termite inspection that wasn't performed. I called Bay Area pest control to let them know of my concern. The girl who answered the phone seemed confused, but said that the bill sent in error, bc they haven't be paid by Angie's list yet. I tried to get confirmation if the termite inspection was done and the results...she said it was done, but had no detail. She also couldn't explain why I paid $100 directly to Angie's list, but she only sent a $70 invoice. She said "maybe the $30 is Angie's list marketing fee they get off the top." Seriously? The whole thing seems shady. I am convinced I did not get what I paid for....so I canceled the American Express payment for the $100 through Angie's list and will be paying the invoice sent to me by Bay Area pest control for $70. I'm not trying to not pay for services rendered, but refuse to pay for something not provided or more than I should. The whole process has been a huge inconvenience, frustrating, and a waste of my time. Not sure I'll ever use Bay Area pest control again (they don't seem very organized or knowledgeable about Angie's list deals) and also not sure I'll ever participate in an Angie's list coupon again.

 + -1 moreRalph Englert of Bay Area Termite inspected the house, found swarming termites, and thoroughly discussed my only option of tenting the house. I had already tried, unsuccessfully, to spot treat for termites over the last two years, so I wasn't surprised that the house had to be tented. Ralph was informative, charismatic, patient and not at all pushy with his presentation... a rare quality in today's marketplace. A team of four very polite men showed up to tent the house a few weeks later. They worked furiously until way past dark to seal all the edges and seams of the tent. My job was particularly time consuming because the screen enclosure around the pool had to be cut away from the perimeter of the house (I had been informed well in advance). If you're budgeting for tenting your house, don't forget to count the cost of re-screening panels on your pool enclosure. When the tenting was complete, they shot in the gas (no residue, no smell) and left the tent up for 24 hours. A day and a half later, they took down the tent and the house was cleared for reentry. I had anticipated a much bigger inconvenience than the actual process... and at a very fair price. Highly recommended!

 + -1 moreOriginally scheduled 07/02/13, but had to re-schedule. Easy to work with office and accomodating re-schedule for 7/23/13. Called 7/22/13 to remind about appointment and time. Sean arrived at 2pm as scheduled. Explained service and asked if there were any concerns. Got right to work in house, then went outside. There he brushed down window and door frames, removing spider webs and hornet nesting. Then did termite inspection. Returned and told me of findings, and additional services if I was interested.

 + -1 moreThe technician came out and was friendly and explained all we needed to know. He pointed out he saw no signs of termites, and that the problem we had with the flying ants was due to the rain and gave suggestions for making sure they did not return.
Description of Work: I purchased the package on Angie's list for outside pest and termite inspection. The company was very friendly, in fact we had to reschedule twice due to weather (be sure to try and set up appt. when it is not going to rain), but the company called promptly to reschedule and they were extremely polite!

 + -1 moreI am actually kind of little frustrated with what was going on with Bay Area Termite. You know for warranty service they come in and do just one inspection. I would use them again as I have an ongoing contract with them.
Description of Work: We used Bay Area Termite & Pest Control about two months ago.They just do fumigation on large building on the warranty that we have on the three buildings in our association. We are getting ready to fumigation on one building.

 + -1 moreIt was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. The guy was much of a gentleman but I wish I had received some kind of form in writing stating that there was no evidence of termite but I didn't get that. We didn't ask for it either. He was very kind. It took him no more than 15 minutes and I think for that amount of time, it was a little bit expensive. I think the catch was to get a termite inspection other than someone saying you have no termite. I'm a little disappointed. If I basically knew that was all I was going to get, I probably wouldn't have gotten the service. But he was very nice, he was on time, he was very present.
Description of Work: Bay Area Termite & Pest Control came out and sprayed outside the house. He said there was no evidence of termites. He might have sprayed the inside of the house.

 + -1 moreMarcos arrived and performed the Annual P/C. He introduced himself and described what he was going to do. Bay Area goes through the entire house and removes all of the outlets that may be exposed to the outdoor sides of the house and applies treatment. They treat under cabinets and around the baseboards. They treated the attic and the garage. Then he treated the exterior of our home and around the pool area. He even took the time to use a brush around windows where spider webs were present and removed them. I was very satisfied with the service. And ladies, on a personal note, in my opinion, Marcos is a real catch. He is so polite and professional. He is a handsome man that is in good physical shape. And I can tell just by talking to him he's a "good man". That's important. Marcos did a great job. I will ask in the future to have my service performed by him.
Description of Work: First, the amount of $300 is for a yearly contract renewal. This was the first visit under the new contract. They perform what they call an Annual P/C the quarterly they perform a quarterly "boost". So there is 4 visits per year. This is the second year of using Bay Area service and we have not had any "pest" issues. We have a wooded area next to us and enough trees, bushes, shrubs around the house that you would think "pests" would be prevalent.

 + -1 moreThis company bought out Ultimate Pest Control whom I used for 18 years. When Arrow took over my lawn died. They had to replant it twice. They never showed up when they were suppose to. They missed months. I had to write the vice president to get any results. Yet still they did not show to perform services. The supervisors did not care about service that was being performed. I even paid they up front for the whole year. I had to fire them and ask for a refund in April.

 + -1 moreThey have came out frequently since December. They did an outstanding job at an inexpensive cost compared to competitors. The man that came out was J.P. he was very nice. If I called at in the afternoon he would be out the next day or if I called in the morning he would be out by that evening. You couldn't ask for better service. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing pest control service.

 + -1 moreThey do such a great job. I have never had a problem with termites since I started using them. They always sent me my renewal each year and they would call me for an appointment. Everyone was always very friendly and polite. They were very good about going around my schedule and always showed up on time for the appointment.
Description of Work: I had a termite contract with them. I have been using them for 13 years. They come once a year to spray the outside of my home. They also do an inspection of the home.

 + -1 moreI have used Tony Capraro III for years and I am very happy with him. He is just really personable and really friendly. He knows his clients and he knows who you are and he knows the details of clients. He personally came out to the house when I was first buying the house and took pictures because they needed to know details. They worked with underwriting to make sure that I got the house insured. He goes above and beyond. He is wonderful.
Description of Work: I use Tony Capraro III who is an agent for State Farm. He has insured my home and the underwriters were going to full coverage becuase they were concerned about my roof and I worked with Tony to get a letter from my contractor who fixed the roof to state what was fixed and the other issues that had happened and then they gave me a statement saying that I had another 3-5 years to fix the roof but I also provided a letter to say that I was going to do it in the spring so Tony was able to get the underwriter to not change my policy.

The numbers were high and in fact my prostate was large and an operation necessary. .....ASKED DR. BELKOFF WHETHER HE HAD DONE OPERATIONS OF THIS TYPE AND WAS TOLD BY HIM HE HAD DONE IN BETWEEN 15 AND 20 OF SIMILIAR OPERATIONS WITH NO PROBLEMS. ......POST OPERATIVE PERIOD OF SEVERAL WEEKS WAS GRIM WITH TWO TUBES PROTRUBING FROM BODY...FROM P**** AND BELLY BUTTON ? (For Drainage) I THOUGHT THIS WAS STRANGE AS DID OTHERS .....AFTER TWO TO THREE MONTHS EXPLAINED URINARY FUNCTION PERFECT BUT was left with ERECTILE DysFUNCTION. ..THE FIRST THING HE MENTIONED WAS PReSCRIBING VIALIS AND I MENTIONED TO HIM THAT WAS NOT WORKING SINCE I ALREADY HAD THIS BEFORE OPEERATION....... ....HE MENTIONED IT MIGHT TAKE A LITTLE TIME....THREE MONTHS LETTER SAME STORY.....THREE MONTHS MATTER HE STATED THAT ...AND I QUOTE " WEL WE HAD SOME SERIOUS COMPLICATIONS" I ASKED WHAT COMPLICATIONS AND WAS NEVER GIVEN AN ANSWER.....SAID BE PATIENT.....6-7 MONTHS LATTER ADDRESSED THE SAME QUESTION AND WAS GIVEN SAME EXPLANATION..... ..WENT TO ANOTHER UROLGIST WITH REPORTS OF OPERATION THAT WERE FORWARDED TO AND WAS EXPLAINED THAT THE PREVIOUS OPERATION THE SURGEON WENT TO WIDE IN TRYING TO CLEAR BLOCKAGE AND SEVERED BOTH NERVES THAT PERMIT ERECTILE FUNCTION ..AS A RESULT I AM UNABLE TO HAVE ERECTION .OBVIOUSLY MORE TRAINING BEFORE OPERATIVE PROCEDURES WAS NECESSARY I WAS NEVER TOLD WHAT THE SERIOUS COMLICATIONS WERE AND THOUGHT THATS AT LEAST ONE THING THAT I SHOULD HAVE BEEN GIVEN....OBVIOUSLY THE OPERATION WAS A TOTAL FAILURE.AND EMBARRASMENT TO THE DR. ....... ..be very careful..GO TO THE BEST... ) cant imagine this happening to anyone in a normal healthy lifetime.....would love to leave y name and phone numbeer but my lawyer said may not be good idea... Description of Work: Kevin came out and climbed onto roof to snake drain. Anderson did service year earlier, cost 4x as much, took off toilet and 2hours and mess.Anderson rep said they didn't do roof because of liability issues. We have 45 year old house with no clean out. Kevin was done in 45 mins.

 + -1 moreMiguel's Lawn & Tree Service were very good about coming and afterwards I noticed that there were two significant cracks in the side walk that lead outside my house. It is an old house anyway. I called him and he said that they didn't do that and I said yes you did and it took me a week to call them and for them to come and look at it and after coming over, he said that yes they did do that, but one of the sidewalks was dented in and bent the side walk, so I told him that he needed to fix that because my mother uses a walker to walk and it's not good to have uneven surfaces like that and he said he would come back and fix it. I called him after a week and he said he was really busy and had a lot of jobs to do. I heard from him less and less and he never came back. The price was okay. They came out to do the job real fast, but he never fixed the things that he messed up.
Description of Work: Miguel's Lawn & Tree Service slashed up my sidewalk and never came back to fix it. They were hired to cut down a tree in the front yard.

 + -1 moreThe master bath outlet was quickly diagnosed as being tied to another outlet on the floor below it that when reset also got the master bath working. Hanging lights in basement were removed and covered. Additional outlet added in basement by furnace. Light switches were replaced. Asked questions about a couple other things including an exterior outlet to the front. Got a good idea of how it would work and a reasonable quote. Our house has main breakers that are not tied together. I understand what that means now and how technical it is (not). They tried to find part(s) to replace/fix, but could not and advised I might find it online and gave me model/part number information to help with the search.
Description of Work: Laundry list: mstr bath outlet not working, removal/cover of hanging lights, replaced light switches, additional basement outlet.
