Had to move everything out of the house in a storage container in our driveway. Were out approximately 10 days in a motel. Final product was completey unacceptable. Not smooth, polished, and burgandy brown color as promised but grainy, rough, weird orange pumpkin color, full of gouges and aire bubble pits. A real mess. Unfortunately we had to move everything back in because we could not stay out of our house for another 10 days. Company agreed to do it again so we moved everything back out again in May and lived in a motel for 10 days. When we inspected the job, it was better but still full of flaws and in need of significant repair. The company promised they would continue to work with us. It soon became apparent that the floor had major problems. The top coat began to bubble up and peel off. There was no durability to the floors. Dropping something on the floor as small as a heavy fork would leave dents in the finish. Our dogs could cut into the finish when they ran on the floors. Heavy furniture actually sank into the top coat surface. The company then cut off all communication with us and ignored repeated call and e-mails. I even visited their showroom and demanded they deal with our problem but they contiune to ignore us.
Description of Work: Put a surface over our concrete floors and stained and textured them. Also did leveling and repair work prior to adding the surface and stain.

We hired this contractor last year to create an acid stained concrete floor in our home. He did a beautiful job, so we were excited to hire him again to build a concrete base cabinet for a precast outdoor kitchen counter top with sink, and create three more acid stained floors; one lanai floor and two bedroom floors. The concrete base was constructed as per specifications. Five weeks later they began the flooring and counter top portion of the contract. Flooring was supposed to be complete within 5 to 8 days business days per the contract. After 4 weeks of our home had been turned upside down while waiting for them to show up, nothing was finished. Our experience this time has been terrible. They didn't show up on time, and didn't return calls for days. At one point I was convinced the company had gone out of business, so I tracked them down at another job site. The employee I spoke with was embarrassed by the way his employer was handling my work. When they worked it was typically for a couple of hours, then they'd leave for other jobs, and not come back for days. The employees who worked on the floors were totally incompetent, so the bedroom floors were done twice, but still look and feel horrible. The lanai floor was not prepared properly, therefore lines from the demolished tile beneath are still visible through 3 or 4 layers of skim coating. The counter top was installed on June 10th. When the plumber looked at the drain area of the sink he advised me that he wouldn't guarantee his work, because the drain area was defective. Additionally, there is a significant chip off one corner of the counter top, and the sealing of the counter top surfaces is incomplete. Throughout this project the owner made many apologies and promises, but never completed the work. Now more than three months from the contract date, and because none of the work is complete, I have to find another contractor to repair the counter top and sink as well as start over completely on all three floors. I paid Concrete-N-Counters just over 1/2 of their contract price, and have received next to nothing that's usable, desirable or acceptable. The owner was the craftsman who did all the work on the initial project last year. This time he barely showed up at all, and provided no oversight for his unqualified staff. We are unhappy and out a lot of time and money.
