This place has a call center and a local office, and the local representative are very responsive (leave multiple messages sometime daily). The technician we had was very professional, seemed quite new (called Magtag for help and sat on the phone with them for a long time), and came early, outside the "cable guy" range of hours we were given. On the first visit, after about 10 minutes, we were told that we used the wrong products and that we'd need to run the hot water before starting the dishwasher. Cost: Approx. $70 So, I went out and spent $20+ on new products, did what he said, and the dispenser still didn't open. Called back. Second visit: We were told that we'd need to replace both control panels for our unit. Parts were ordered. Third visit: Replaced the two control panel areas. Cost: Approx $320. Dispenser still didn't open. Immediately after the technician left, we had heavy water leaking from the sink and from the faucet or we would have been out more money. Luckily, my FIL is handy with plumbing problems. He helped us fix the problem, and we dried out the area. Dispenser still didn't open. Called back. Fourth visit: We were told that the dispenser panel was melted (probably the reason for the water damage) and that we'd have to pay $215 more to replace the dispenser unit. I mentioned that the damage seemed likely to do with the previous repair. I told them I would discuss the situation with my husband, but the technician went ahead and ordered the part anyway. After almost $400, we decided not to put $215 more [and probably more?] into this dishwasher. We were very disappointed in this experience and this company, and we think it's unfair that we should have to pay any more for damage when the dispenser unit should have just been replaced in this first place.

Eric was our technician, and he was terrific. He was on time, and went right to work. Quickly determined the problem was a timer issue and determined the part needed and cost. I was very pleased with the knowledge and professional demeanor of this gentleman. He cleaned up his work area, as well. Great job. I've used this company for repairs in the past and have been extremely pleased. Will definitely use them again!

I was COMPLETELY satisfied with the service performed by Appliance Repair Specialists, today. I found them on Angie's list, and although they were not the first I called...they were the first who could come to repair our refrigerator on the same day, so I made an appointment. The young lady on the phone was very nice, and said she would call back when they narrowed down when the repair person would come...which she promptly did. Mario C, was the repair person. He called 20 minutes before he came, which was right in the window that was promised. He was very professional, quick to identify the problem, and quick to repair it. He explained everything he did, and was very helpful in answering all our questions. He steamed the frozen evaporator coils, and cleaned up well, so we were ready to CHILL, when he left. I thought I was going to have to unplug the unit overnight, or use a blow dryer to thaw, as I saw on YOUTUBE! I have no idea to know if the charge was the cheapest I could have found, but it seemed reasonable. I don't mind paying a fair price, for exceptional service. I will DEFINITELY use Appliance Repair Specialists again, based on this experience. Thanks Angie...lol

We have used this company several times and will continue to do so. They have always done a good job.

I thought the price was a little high for raising and leveling the legs on a washer and dryer, but evidently there is a minimum service charge. Eric was very nice and recommended rubber pads to dampen the sound these HD washers make. He was solid and professional. If I needed appliance repair again, I will call Eric.

Eric was right within the time window that was promised. He was thorough but quick. He explained what the problem was with my gas burners and had suggestions to keep my burners clean and in working order in the future. My ice maker needed to be replaced. The price was reasonable. He left his phone number in case my ice maker did not start working within the next couple of hours. All in all I would definitely call this company again if I have any other appliances that need repair. Eric was knowledgeable, polite and I felt safe having him in my home.

The lid sensor on our top-loading washer has been broken for over a year. I had been using superglue and duct tape to keep it together. This part must connect so the machine will spin. If the sensor is not making contact, the washer won't spin because it senses the lid is still open. The part is plastic and pretty flimsy, so after the last time I fixed it, I decided to get the part replaced. I went to Angie's List to find a repair company to come out and replace the part. The first place I called was very busy and wouldn't have been able to come out for about a week. I said I really needed it fixed and I would try another company. I called Appliance Repair and spoke to Shannon. She was very helpful and friendly. I described exactly what the problem was and gave her the model and serial number so they would bring the correct part. She gave me an estimate based upon the part we discussed. (This quote was within $5.00 of the actual cost) We set up a time for Monday, March 30. Shannon said she would call me on Friday to let me know the 3-hour time range. Unfortunately our phones went out on Friday and I didn't get the message until after they closed. I called the after-hours service and left a message that 9:00 to noon on Monday would be fine. On Monday morning around 11:00, I called Shannon to make sure she got my message over the weekend. She said the technician was 15 minutes away. Eric arrived around 11:15. He looked at the washer to make sure the repair I needed was the same as Shannon had quoted. He gave me a written quote, I approved the cost, and he finished within 15 minutes. He was very polite and professional. He showed me the old part and explained how it connected and where the stress points were on the part. He even complimented my handy work "repairing" the broken part. We were given a $20.00 discount as an Angie's List customer. This was a very good experience.

The serviceman (Eric) was very professional and courteous. He explained everything in detail and answered all our questions.

I was impressed with the work provided. The cost was high because of the electronic features of the appliances. Both technicians were helpful in finding ways to help save money. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone with a major appliance problem. As an aside, I would also recommend that you avoid purchasing Electrolux appliances. We own 4 of their appliances, now 4 years old and 3 of them have problems, two of them are serious and costly problems.

Prompt professional serviceman troubleshot the problem. Ordered the necessary parts and scheduled a prompt return visit.

Frig repair was perfect except high price. Good thing repairman did not come with dishwasher part because that quote was high too (e.g. $141 for a $20 part and about 20-30 min worth of work). In the future, I will try to diagnose, get the parts, and do the work myself. All in all, the wife is happy so I am not too jammed up. Aside, from the prices I was very happy with the repairman. Although fixed, the communication breakdown between me and the receptionist and between the receptionist and the repairman was a bit annoying. If the dishwasher was inop, not just a broken handle that is just makes it difficult to open, I would be jammed up with Appliance Repair Specialists right now.

Punctual, fast, polite. The ONLY complaint we have is that they forgot to give us the Angie's List $20 discount as advertised on the day of service. It took 2 months to get the refund check. Other than that, we are happy with their service.

I couldn't be more pleased with the service of this company. The repair person arrived within the time frame I was given. He asked me several questions about where the leak was appearing. He quickly diagnosed the problem and showed me the evidence on why he came to the conclusion that he did. The lint plug had come loose and it needed to be secured more tightly. While it was something I may have eventually been able to find myself, I was very happy to pay the fee to give me peace of mind that my machine wouldn't leak into the apartment below me. I will definitely use this company again...and refer them to anyone who might need their service.

Our problem is solved. We just love this compary. No one wants large appliances to break down, but it is really nice to know who to call. I would recommend this business to anyone needing large appliance repair. Shannon who takes call and sets up appointments was very helpfull. Chris who was our repairman was great.

The repairman did not have the baffle, so it was ordered. Again, the initial visit included a price quote of $208.20. The next visit was scheduled for 9/4, but no one showed up. Upon contacting them the next morning, they apologized for not showing up and said the baffle part didn't come in. When they showed up on 9/5, they said there was an additional price (not included in the original quote) for the "baffle job" of $256.38 plus tax. This seems a bit excessive.

Service was within the scheduled time. Technician was friendly, professional. Even when problem was determined to be user-error in nature, there was no condescension or making me feel dumb about it. The tech even made sure to triple check everything and describe what to look for to rule out other possible causes of the problem, even though it was my own stupidity that caused it.

I called on 7/14, they gave me a date of 7/15 and said they would call back p.m to give me a window of time, which they did. The tech found the problem promptly, fixed it quickly and was very nice. He explained the problem and gave me the faulty part. I have used this company in the past and will continue to use them. Update: I had another problem with the refrigerator and wasn't sure it was associated with the previous repair...which it was not...I called them they came out the next day and made an adjustment on another part of the refrigerator. They did not not charge me for any work. These people are really great, thank you to them

He came right out. We paid for the house call and he did charge us for that. There was cat hair built up inside the back of refrigerator. He pulled out all the cat hair out. We paid $70 for the house call. I have no problem. It was a ton of hair he pulled out of the machine and he said that was causing the problem. They charge you for a house call. They came out and identified the problem and he did not try and charge me for any other service or anything. It was the machine they already had the serial number off the machine before the guy even came out here, the Samung that way they could figure out what would go wrong. They arrived when they said they were going to arrive. They did everything right. He was one that knew that machine before he even came out there.

tThe washer valve was clogged with mineral deposits. It stopped working and sent water flying out of the front of the washed. My laundry room and neighboring kitchen area flooded. I found Appliance Repair Specialists on Angie's List, made an appointment and Shannon sent the repair person, Lance Kimball, to my home. He had to order a part. Once the part came in (only several days) he replaced the old valve and my GE front-loading washer is once more working up to par. The only thing i must mention is that I am not sure what the total cost was. I paid a $70 deposit up front and used my Angie's List printed coupon to pay the balance. It was less than I expected and that made me happy. So $200 is a guess and I will change that if I am wrong. I recommend this company.

I got burned by a service provider who said he had insurance and didn't. So when he messed up my refrigerator I was on my own. This time I contacted 3 companies from Angie's. I asked them all to email proof of insurance to me. I got one who gave me a license I didn't know how to look up, one who gave me a policy number, and one who actually emailed me the certificate. I went with the one who emailed me the certificate, since that's what I had asked for. They sent out a guy named Chris who was great. He knew what he was doing. He put in a new drain kit. That was a week ago and everything seems fine now. I highly recommend Appliance Repair Specialists.

The service professional was on time, efficient, polite and fixed the problem... Can't ask for more than that- Perfect!

It went well. He gave me some good advice and a quote. In the end I put pressure on the manufacturer to help my out as I was only a week out of my warranty which they did.
