Description of Work: I met Priscilla in the design center asking how to go about makeing changes in my home. One of the first things she said, is let me come out to see what you already have and how we can incorpoarte pieces that you love and that will work in the new design you want to achieve. How refreshing as I was quite leary that I would have to spend thousands fo dollars to replace furniture that I had already spent thousands on. My pieces were quite large for my current home since I have now down sized. Priscilla ventrued through my living/family room, kitchen and dining room. She asked me many questions as she walked through my home with me. then I took Priscilla to see my upstairs area. She considered my responses to her questions as she reviewed my furniture and then - she went into action. Let's start with the dining room and before long she had re-arranged the dining table, seperated a heavy three piece wall unit- taking one piece totally away, replaced this with a serving piece that was in my kitchen, re-organiized how I had displayed items in my curio and on the wall unit shelves (which had been in the same places for years), suggested refinishing the wood on the wall units, described some vibrant wall art she had in her design studio that might add "POP" to the walls, fluffed up the existing drapes over the plantation shutters, and oh my goodness, my dining room came alive. I was sure that I wanted Priscilla now and to get started on the rest of my home. She suggested that we start with the living areas first and then move upstairs to the office and my bedroom. Oh my goodness, I was just so excited to keep moving forward with her. I am trusting my space, my home, to this stranger. Priscilla showed me what she could do in my home immediately. She did not pressure me into making all new purchases. This was a big relief because I just believed interior designers want to go 'new' immediately. Now I can use what did not spend in my dining room to buy new where I need to spend the dollars. One week later, I went to the design center and I could not believe how my wall units looked let alone being even done. The skill level of Priscilla's wood refinishiners is overwhelming. My two pieces look brand new. Nicks and dings were gone. Priscilla came to my home and hung the new wall art and walla once again. I just love my new dining room. We are now moving to the living room. I have odered a custom design sofa and new coffee 'table.' Funny thing though, as we looked through pages of table designs, I mentioned that friends, family and myself love to prop our feet up on the solid marble coffee table without fear of ruing the tabel top. I often plop down on it, serve food from it and display your tipical coffee table books. Priscilla said, I think that this might just be what you are looking for- an ottoman style table. She happend to have one in her design center. This piece is absolutely perfect. It even has storage for the few items that I want to hide but that I also use alot. Again, this designer not only listened to me but heard what I was saying and just WOW!! We discussed two chairs, using an existing table that I have shoved in the corner of my office. I could not justify giving it away but had no room for it any where else in my home. We are going to re-finish the wood on the fireplace to blend with the wood tones of two large curio cabinets. We may need to change out the large area rug but Priscilla feels all furniture will compliment the rug. She said we can always buy one later and use this area rung in the dining room. I love that fact that she is not telling me I need to buy this or I need to buy that. I am just so so very excited. I have a true professional designer with strong values, business acumen and ethics.

Description of Work: I hired Andrea Lauren Elegant Interiors (ALEI) to help me combine two households when I remarried and my husband and I moved to my home in Temple Terrace. In particular I wanted guidance in picking paint colors, placing furniture and creating a stylish and comfortable environment for our families.
