Amazing Glaze

Excellent. He was very accommodating to ventilating the smell/odor to the outside. He enclosed the area and inserted a machine with a hose vented to a window. There was very little odor dispersed in my home. He was very meticulous and thoughtful with a sense of pride for his work. He is very professional.

We had a hideous avocado bath in this house, and the last thing to do was the bathtub. When I looked into the logistics of putting in a new tub, it occurred to me that we could have the old one, which was still in relatively good shape, refinished to white. Doing it myself looked possible but not easy (I'm relatively handy, but it's a complicated process), so I called Amazing Glaze and got an estimate to make it white. The estimate was right on with what I paid, and the guys showed up right on time and got straight to it. They were able to come out in three days. The tub looks wonderful and I'm so glad I 'm able to reuse a solid, quality bathtub instead of adding to the junk pile! It's a great value for the finished product. If I needed another tub done, I would definitely call them again.

I called Kevin and discussed the job over the phone and set a date for him to come out and give me an estimate. He was prompt and on time the next day and we agreed that the old chipped and ugly tub needed to be stripped completely of its old finish. We agreed upon a price and date to do the work. Kevin and his helper Paul arrived early to start the job and got right to work. I observed and indeed it was quite a job and a lot of work for the more than fair price I was charged. First they had to remove the old finish and then chemically remove it for sanding. They taped off all the walls and floor in the bathroom and set up an exhaust fan. Once that was done they applied the materials and then sealed the tub. They also grouted the seams around the tub instead of just using a silicone caulk. I asked about this and he explained the grout was much better at sealing and would last much longer. These two guys worked several hours on their hands and knees and when Kevin was done he spent time explaining how to protect the new finish and care for my new tub. Once done it sparkled and looked brand new. I was very pleased. I have included a photo of the finished work for all to see. The $300 was well spent and much less than replacing the tub. I would recommend using Amazing Glaze and would use them again when needed. Thanks guys.

Kevin did a great job on the tub and wall surround. I had it reglazed 8 years ago by a company that did a poor job. He stripped the entire tub and redid the areas on the wall that were peeling. He was very meticulous in protecting the surrounding areas, much more so than the previous company who had sprayed my closet door. The job turned out to be much more intense than anticipated but he even came back on the weekend to finish it. Very nice and professional person also.

He is really responsible and affordable. He did a fantastic job. He made an old tub look like brand new one.

Kevin spent 5 hours cleaning the whirlpool tub, running an exhaust hose from his fan to the outside via our bathroom window as well as using masking tape to tape up plastic so our walls, fixtures, tile, and cabinets would not get sprayed with the glaze/paint. As he was about to glaze/paint the tub, I went in and saw that our new white grout (tile/grout was done 4 weeks ago) around the tub was now red. We discussed it and he said that it must have been the cleaner he used. He was just about to glaze/paint over the red. He offered to put new grout on top of the red. I immediately called my tile contractor and he said that's not a good thing to do as the red might come through and he suggested that it be replaced at a cost of $70. Kevin agreed to that price, but he said that he would like to try to sand it a little bit. I agreed, but the red did not come off. He was frustrated as was I. Because my tile contractor could not come for a week, Kevin packed up all this equipment and told me to call him after the grout was redone. When he left, we removed the tape and plastic and we were left with paint being stuck to the masking tape as he used masking tape not the blue painters tape. Now we have to call our painting contractor to get the bathroom repainted (which was done 1 year ago). Also, he did explain that is was a 2-day process, but I had no idea it would take 5 hours to tape and clean. We will not call him back.

Overall it went great. Had an unexpected ant infestation when cabinets ripped out, but Kevin graciously rescheduled and even worked a weekend in order to get the job done right. He went way above the call of duty!

When I first spoke with Kevin, he quoted the price, and said that his basic colors were white, off-white and almond. I had to reschedule the original appointment for 2 weeks later. Kevin went over everything when he first got to my house, and did the work himself. When it was complete, he went over the after-care, etc. Very pleased with the work that was done.

Amazing Glaze didn't do exactly what I expected but the project turned out alright. I liked that they worked quickly and left everything clean when the job was done. A lot of the reglazed tub was rough in spots and there was some residue on my bathroom mirror from the product after the job was done.

Went well. On time, worked hard, the finished job is very well done. Left the bathroom clean. Nice person. My only warning to others is that he only has two shades of white to choose form and the pickiest customers may not be pleased with the limited choice of shades. I don't know how many shades the other companies offer. The tub still looks spectacular after 4 months.

Kevin did a great job! He provided an estimate over the phone and I felt his price was very fair. He returned my calls immediately and was on time to complete the job. It was very time consuming to remove the old glaze and re-glaze the bathtub. Kevin took his time and was meticulous. The tub looked like new when he was finished.The glaze is guaranteed for 3 years. I would highly recommend him!

Kevin did a fantastic job at a fair price. This is the only guy I would call in the future. Takes pride in his work. Did the job when he said he was going to.

the quality of the work is so high mostly because of the amount of prep work he does. he pays attention to details!!!!!! it makes the difference!!!

I found Amazing Glaze and Kevin Meadows on Angie's list. I have never seen anyone work so hard. He came on time, got right to work, and worked straight through without a break. He takes pride in his work and will see that everything is perfect. He was very pleasant and explained everything to me and answered all questions. He also advised me on what products to use to clean the tub and tile with and which not to use. I would highly recommend him.

As other reports said, he did a great job. He answered all my questions and paid great attention to detail. The tub looks GREAT! He even called a friend of his who collects scrap metal to pick up the shower doors and metal framing so I wouldn't have to deal with it. It was gone that afternoon.

He said my tub was in good condition except for the big rust spot and the hole and basically I could save money by not doing the whole tub. He re-grouted the tub and tile and it looks brand new.

I consider myself to be a VERY picky person. As I work for a contractor myself, I expect to be treated how I treat others, and this experience was a rare one where it exceeded my expectations. Unfortunately I have forgotten the gentlemans name who came out to our house. He called when he said he would, confirmed the appointment, came when he said he would, gave us a reasonable price, and spent two days at our home, working on his hands and knees. I had set other appointments with companys on Angies list, and they didn't even show or give me a phone call, and so this was the only price I recieved. I had recieved estimates before though, and this one was an excellent value. The gentleman who came out was kind, he was hardworking, and he accomplished more than he said he would. We paid upon completion, and the work was better than we expected! Seriously, USE THIS COMPANY! You WON'T be dissapointed.

Prior to the work this old 1925 tub was peeling, probably from a previous reglaze and it was dindgy offwhite color. Amazing glaze scrapped, cleaned and reglazed my tub in the color white to match the rest of the bathroom and it looks really beautiful, like a brand new bathtub. Also regrouted the tub to match the new tile in the bathroom shower. I won't know the quality of workmanship over time until I have the opportunity to use the tub. But, it certainly looks wonderful and I highly recommend this as a short term alternative to replacing a tub.
