ALLEN'S 4 SEASON LAWN CARE

For over 4 years, this company was responsible for mowing, trimming and edging our 2 properties. The price was very reasonable but I now realize that you get what you pay for! They damaged our property, refused to respond to our inquiries about it, did not acknowledge us as a valued customer and they refused to repair the damage. BUYER BEWARE of this vendor.

On 9/29/2014 Temple Terrace Code Enforcement put a note on my door that want wanted me to mow down the ground cover in the front of my house. On 9/30/2014 I sent a text to Allen?s 4 Season Lawn Care. I got a call back right away and Allen said he would be happy to mow my front yard. After explaining what I needed done, Allen said it would be $40.00 since it was just the front yard. I also explained time was of the essence due to the fact that Temple Terrace wanted it done by 10/6/2014. Allen said he would be over the next day to mow my front yard. I called numerous times leaving messages asking for a return call. Allen never called me back. On 10/6/2014 I sent a text to Allen?s 4 Season Lawn Care asking if they ?forgot about me?. Allen?s 4 Season Lawn Care texts me back, ?Why did you wait so long to hire somebody to be honest with you I do not have the time?. After much back and forth they came that day. They did a nice job, but charged me $70.00! Almost twice what he quoted me on the first call. I would not have hired them if they told me it would cost $70.00. My front yard isn't that big.

It was excellent. They're accessible. If they say that they're going to come in the afternoon and call at 2 o'clock, they call at 2 o'clock and they come. We've been using them for so long. Every time we need to cut the grass, we call them and they're there right away. They're good. Their boss is the one who's managing it and instructing it. They did a good job. After they cut it, they clean up. We never them cursing. They're cordial and religious people. They're super.

Love these guys. Girlfriend calls 'em the and quot;lawn ninjasand quot; because they swoop in, take care of everything, disappear.. and it's awesome! Very recommended!

I have used this lawn service for approximately 10 years. These guys come every week in the summer and do my lawn and I don't ever recall when they didn't show up. True, in the winter months they only come every other week, and the monthly fees are the same; however, I think that is standard and true of all lawn service companies. I always think of it as "I get a good deal in the summer, and he gets a good deal in the winter," because I think they would charge more if it were not a monthly deal. Recently, I had a tree service remove a dead tree in my back yard and left a big mess stating they were tired and would be back the next day to clean up and grind the stump. They didn't return for about a week, and the lawn guys came to mow during this time. They cleaned up the mess and raked the dead leaves and debris without being asked. Jeff is very conscientious, courteous, and always responsive whenever I call him, which is very rare. I hardly ever have to as his guys do a really great job. By the way, I am not related to any of them, just believe in stating the facts. I am a new member to Angie's List and just happened to see this service listed. He is very honest, professional, and reliable and wants to please his customers. I would not hesitate to recommend their service to anyone, which is why I have used them for so long. A lot of my neighbors also use them.

I spend $85 a month. They are very reliable and I have never had to wonder if they would come or not, and I have had no problems with it.

At first they were great. But the service and quality of the work quickly went down hill. I had requested estimates for additional work to be done and they never got back to me. My three properties have never look worse. Weeds, leaves, dead branches in the yard. I finally got so fed up that I had to do all of the yard work myself. I paid them to do work that they never did. They blew leaves into neighbors yards and across the streets that blew back into my yards the next day. I hauled away 10 full trash bags of debris from my personal property and then had to go and clean up the other two investment properties after I had paid them to do the work for. I would NOT recommend that anyone use this company. What a big disappointment. Why can’t I find a decent company to do this kind of work?

They are fine and do a good job. They are here every week and are very prompt. They came here recently and the guy who came out ran over one of our main water lines. He tried to stop the water abruptly. He then called his boss who is the owner of the business to let him know that such an incident had happened. After that he called me back to make sure everything was okay. It was repaired but it was a weird incident. He wanted to make sure everything was working out well.

They have worked out to be fine. I gave a call and they came out the same day within a few hours to give me a quote. Their prices are reasonable. I am so far happy with their work. I have signed a contract with them for the regular yard maintenance. They come out every 2 weeks and once in the summer.

Summary Called on a Monday, spoke to Allen, the owner. I explained the grass was getting tall at my new home since we haven't moved in yet, and would like it mowed once right away, then I'd see about establishing regular service. Our community is an upscale deed restricted neighborhood, and the homeowners assn expects lawns to look professionally groomed, a policy with which I agree. He said he'd go over and give me an estimate. Two days later, I had to call back to see when he could mow and how much it would be. He gave me a price per month which is the same EVERY MONTH of the year, although in the winter months he'd be mowing only twice a month instead of four times. When I didn't understand paying the same full amount for half as much work, his reply was "Well, that's how we do it. I think you need to call somebody else," and abruptly hung up on me. I called back and said, "I guess we got disconnected. I didn't want there to be any misunderstanding, and I still would like you to mow today as we had intended." He replied flatly, "We're too big for that." (meaning one-time jobs) In my opinion it would have been courteous and respectful if he had stated in the first place, in our first conversation that he is uninterested in mowing your yard unless you're willing to sign up for a year's service at a time (hence the name 4-SEASON Lawn Care, I guess). This person behaved in an extremely unprofessional, condescending, and downright rude manner that was out of step with my stated desire to GIVE HIM MONEY, that day, for mowing my yard. It makes one wonder how he ever got an A rating with Angie's List. My advice: BEWARE! Ignore the "rating," do yourself a favor and SEEK ELSEWHERE. This isn't brain surgery or rocket science. You don't need this headache and runaround. He doesn't qualify to cut your lawn. There are plenty of honest, hard-working men out there willing to mow your grass on YOUR terms, whether it's every week forever, one single time, or anything in between. If you're anything like my wife and me, you don't need this cocky, bait-and-switch-style of overpriced unprofessionalism wasting your time.

They have always been dependable. If we ever need any extra services they come right out. I am happy with the services they provide. This company is dependable and they offer a good price. We have used this company for a number of years and plan on using them for many more.

I was having a party on a Friday and had not been able to do the lawn myself for a few weeks. I called Allen the day of the party and he came out right away and gave me an estimate. He was able to do the work the same day. He did a great job and was very professional. I will definitely use him again.

I contacted Allen via an internet ad he had out (I am saving for a riding mower but need my yard cut until I get one). Since my yard is pretty large and hasn't been done in a while Allen agreed to do all that needed to be done for $75. Mow, trim, blow. Great job. He didn't make me sign a contact since I am saving for a riding mower and tells me he'll come back every 2 weeks for $50 to cut and blow drive then when the hedges need trimmed $75. This is a great deal due to property size, and I'm pleased with his work. He is here every 2 weeks like clock work which is good because some people you have to hunt down wondering when they will show up. Takes pride in his work too.
