Where to begin?! From the first point of contact all the way through the incredibly quick report delivery, Matt was a total and complete professional. Our inspection was scheduled for a Friday afternoon and from the moment my family and I met Matt, we knew that we made the right decision to hire him! He walked in, introduced himself, exchanged business cards with our realtor and got to work. He systematically went through this home like nothing we could have ever imagined. After a couple hours passed (the wait was more than worth it!), Matt let us know he was ready to walk us through the home to reveal his findings. He patiently answered all of my husband's, mother's and brother's questions without batting an eye. While the majority of the issues he pointed out were what I would have considered "fairly minor," he also identified a few major issues (rotted back door, sheathing under the vinyl siding, etc.). These issues -- especially the rotted sheathing -- were potential deal breakers when it came to us moving forward in purchasing this home. Matt's impeccable inspection saved us thousands of dollars on our first home purchase, as his findings afforded us the opportunity to 1) avoid a complete nightmare and 2) negotiate with the sellers to have the issues addressed prior to closing. Because of All Bay Inspection, my husband and I thrilled to say that we are closing on this home (our first home!) tomorrow. Thanks, Matt, for everything!!

Matt with All Bay came highly recommended from both my Realtor and my Brother & Sister-In-Law. My B.I.L & S.I.L used Matt for a home inspection in old N.E St Pete and he pointed out a major electrical issue that would have cost them $20,000 - $30,000 to repair. The old wiring that was still active in that home was located in what would have been the children's room and it could have been potentially lethal if it went undetected. I have heard that story many many times so when my wife & I were in the market to purchase our first home, we called Matt right away. He was available to perform the inspection about a week or so after my initial call and he also coordinated the 4 point inspection with that specific inspector to occur at the same time (which was a nice service plus a time savor). Matt was extremely thorough and unfortunately our prospective home had an unusual amount of issues. He discovered a whole host of electrical problems, plumbing problems, structural issues, leaky ducts, missing insulation, grading problems with landscaping, as well as a litany of minor issues (missing screens on the windows, doors out of adjustment, mid-span supports missing from closet shelving, etc...). Being first time homebuyers, we were completely clueless. Matt also used some really cool devices such as a thermal reader and a moisture detector that detected moisture in the ceiling above the kitchen. Upon discovery, he climbed back on the roof and found a vent stack in the precise location as to where the moisture in the ceiling was detected. He theorized that due to the various abandoned vent stacks located in the attic area, that this could possibly be a vent stack that has been closed off but improperly uncapped. Because it was uncapped, it could allow rain water to accumulate above the ceiling which is not a good thing (our Plumber discovered that this was in fact a vent stack that was closed off and not capped as it should have been - Matt hit the nail on the head). After his inspection, Matt guided my wife & I around the home and we all went through each and every item, good and bad. He totally explained everything in laymen's terms and we learned a lot! After the 30-40 minute tour of our prospective home, he handed us a 400 page Homeowner's Manuel that is absolutely invaluable! For the complete novice that we are, this book provides you with a wealth of information you would have never thought to ask. There are some excellent tips too! Within 24 hours, Matt emailed us the comprehensive inspection reports and we were armed with a ton of fantastic data. Regardless of the problems that he discovered, we were still motivated to move forward with the home. We absolutely took Matt up on his recommendation to get the various experts out to the home to take a closer look at the issues. We had an electrical contractor, a plumbing contractor, and a structural engineer review the appropriate portions of the inspection report and they all came out to inspect and to supply us with an estimation of repairs. The seller agreed to fix the cited problems and upon receipt of the itemized receipts from the various licensed contractors, Matt agreed to re-inspect our prospective home for $85 to make sure that the repairs were done properly (since the seller did not agree to use the contractors we had out to inspect). He discovered that none of the work was completed and that the seller supplied us with fake receipts (that happened to have legitimate license numbers from the respective contractors). What a shock right? We ended up closing on the home after the seller agreed to concessions and still to this day, Matt is very happy to answer our questions. His company is the best at what it does and Matt is super friendly, thorough, he knows his stuff, and in fact, 3 different structural engineers stated he was a "very smart" guy when they read his report and inspected the areas of the home that he addressed. I highly recommend him to everyone looking to purchase a home.

Wonderful , he didn't leave until I understood every detail and was comfortable with being able to make informed decisions buying the home. The report and manual I received will help me keep the house in great shape for years to come and probably save me thousands of dollars in repairs. Great insights and made everything understandable to a layman.

Matt was the only inspector that could schedule an inspection in the short term. Little did we know that he would be the most thorough and knowledgeable inspector that we have ever dealt with - on a Sunday afternoon for 3+ hours! Part of the time was spent walking us through the issues (of which there were many in a 1950's single family home.) This included giving us a substantial home owner's manual (100+ pages) that explains the home systems and recommendations for fixing and maintaining these systems. The next day, we received a detailed 42 page report full of details and annotated pictures. We certainly will continue working with All Bay Inc. for our inspection needs in the Saint Petersburg area

I have used home inspectors before so i have an idea of how these things go.I wish i known about Matt before..He is very focused when he does his job and you get the feeling that he has your best interests at heart. and is not just jumping from item to item.He is very thorough in his approach.He gave me a very detailed report on the home pointing out the issues in a well written report.A few other people have seen the report and they found it very impressive. A major plus is that he has an infa red gun which helps look for leaks or mold behind walls, which the normal eye could miss.He also gives you a very detailed book about how things in your home work and how to look after them.

Matt spent about 3 hours on the inspection and then about 1/2 hour touring the house with me to point out noteworthy items. The next day I received the full report which described his findings in full detail. His work was meticulous, leaving no stone unturned, and the report was lengthy, but was an easy read.

I am a Realtor and he is my preferred home inspector. I have never had a problem. I cannot say enough good things about his service.

My husband and I have hired Matt 3 times over the years. He's amazingly thorough and leaves no rock unturned. Each time he amazes me with his knowledge and he explains everything he finds to you without making you feel rushed. I HIGHLY recommend Matt and his crew. The WDO and wind mitigation guys were outstanding as well! It's apparent Matt knows how to run a business and he realizes how important it is to hire honest and friendly people. I know you won't be disappointed if you hire Matt. The reports are very thorough and he sends them extremely fast. If/when I buy another home in the Tampa Bay area I will definitely use Matt for a 4th time. In the mean time I'll continue to recommend him to friends and family.

In depth review of house. Matt explained everything as he went through the home. He followed it up with a in-depth emailed report on the home within 24 hours. In the end I chose not to purchase this property and I'm grateful for having such a good inspector. I'll be using him again next time.

We emailed All Bay Inspections to do a home inspection on a 1989, 2000sq house we want to purchase. Matt emailed us back and called with in 24 hours to set up an appointment, which was 3 days later. He showed up on time, spent 4 hours looking at every part of the house, inlcuding the pool. He was very knowledgable and professional, explaning everything to my husband as they walked around together. The report was fantastic, with approximate budget prices for each project. The real icing though was that he provided a manual that explained how to fix everything, so that we would not get snowed by contractors we would be calling in the future. I don't know if other inspectors do this, but we had never received a booklet like this before on our other home purchases. I was very impressed with Matt and would reccomend him to other home buyers in our area.35

Matt was very thorough and patient throughout the entire home inspection process. He made sure to answer any and all questions that I had during his three hour inspection at the home. He gave advice on what he would do if it was his home as well as ballpark estimates or ideas for necessary repairs. He was extremely knowledgable, efficient, and has a reasonable price. I would certainly recommend Matt for anyone needing a home inspection in the Tampa area.

We definitely got our money's worth from the inspection, which was a bargain considering the scope and depth of the inspection performed. Out of the seven or so houses we have sold and purchased, Matt did by far the most thorough and professional inspection out of all the inspectors we've used to date. The house inspected had several issues, several not readily apparent due to neglect from the owners. Matt went room by room, top to bottom, inside and out and came up with a very detailed report which helped us make our final decision re the house purchase. He is also very knowlegeable about construction methods and equipment and we learned a lot about what was done correctly and incorrectly with work done on the house. He also suggested maintenance tips to keep the house up in case we went through with the purchase. We will contact Matt for future inspections without hesitation when the time comes.

Matt performed a Home Inspection on a property I intended to buy. He checked everything, and I mean everything extremely thoroughly. He originally quoted $300 and I only ended up paying a bit more in total because of a mistake the Seller side made - they didn't turn the water on for the first inspection date, so Matt had to come back. The trip charge for that was $75 and really reasonalbe (considering his drive). Overall his rates are well worth it! He took the time to explain everything in detail to me and patiently answered every question I had (and I had many). He gave me a very informative binder with info material. I was surprise because there was no additional charge for it, but the content of this binder is a great tool to understand things about A/C units, Asbestos, Electrical, Plumbing and everything else you need to know about a house. Thanks to Matts thorough work he prevented me to purchase a way overprised home which easily would have turned into a money pit. Comment from the Sellers Agent: and quot;I've never had a Home Inspector that found so many things. He must have been extremely thorough.and quot;. Yes he was! Besides his professionalism he is very polite, nice and on time. He promptly returns phone calls, texts and emails as well. Great customer service. I was very pleased with his service and I highly recommend him. If I happen to find another house I'm interested in buying, he'll definitely be the guy for the Home Inspection!

Matthew was fantastic. I called him and asked if he could do this immediately, as my mother, who knows a little about house construction, was in town only the following day. He was able to do it, and met us promptly at 10:00. He then explained the entire process to us and gave us a very detailed manual with tons of information about flooring, roofs, walls, HVAC, and everything else that he would not only refer to in the report, but that we would be able to use to educate ourselves about different aspects of a house. Then he got to work, and he worked until 5pm. He was on the roofs, he was under the house in the crawl space, he went through the entire attic. Several times he caught up with us and pointed out problems, not only things that needed to be fixed, but things tht are not up to current code. He filled every tub and drained them, looking for leaks. He tapped every external pool tile looking for loose ones. He ran every appliance. He flicked every switch and opened every cabinet, all the while speaking into his digital recorder. He was honest about what he could be confident of, and what he couldn't. Most importatly, he continually addressed our biggest concerns: termite damage and the electrical/plumbing. At the end of the day he summarized the most important items and answered all our questions. Within 24 hours I had emailed to me an organized and easy to read report of every deficiency he found. Each section of housing was divided into major problems (the heating system is currently a death trap), minor problems (the windows have no screens), and items that don't meet modern code (the stairs need a handrail). The report was capped by about 8 pages of color photos illustrating different problems hat he had commented on. All in all, an excellent job, and worth every penny.

Since the inspection, several issues came up with my lender for which I had to get further explanation on items from the inspection. Matt was always very responsive and helpful, providing what was necessary to satisfy the lender. He is very professional and takes pride in his work.
