Alan was wonderful to work with. He kept a very clean work area and did everything right, as opposed to the person who originally did the work in our showers. He is a craftsman and when you hire him to do the job, he does it himself and you can count on quality work.

Wonderful! Diane called and made all the arrangements for the work to be done. Alan called the night before and then in the morning letting me know he was on his way. Quietly worked all day and cleaned up the bathroom when done prior to leaving. Very professional! Would hire again in a heartbeat...

We recently built an addition and the builder did a very poor job in the new bathroom, so we hired Alan Hamilton to re-construct and re-tile the entire shower area. He tore everything out, including the wall board, and replaced the entire shower area---pan, walls, everything. He then tiled it all with beautiful ceramic tile. The bathroom looks fantastic! Alan is a true craftsman---he is professional, experienced, friendly and dependable at all times and all of his work was done with excellence. This is a rare combination among contractors. Alan is the best, and so is his wife Diane, who helped us with all the planning and design. We are very, very, very pleased.

After it was determined that the contractor who built my home in 2005 did not install a shower pan under my master bathroom shower, Diane came over to give me options of getting it repaired without having to redo the entire shower and bathroom. She informed me of the large number of fixes similar to mine that Alan has completed and even had a diagram of the system Alan uses to install shower pans. After agreeing to the price and choosing our tile, we set an appointment for Alan to come out and begin the work. Alan was very detailed in his work and did it all himself, even repairing some walls that had water damage next to the shower entry. It took about 5 days to complete and looked very nice. My wife and I were very happy with the work. When the glass installer determined that a marble ledge near the door of my shower would need to be cut flush for the door to fit snug, I contacted Alan to cut the ledge for me. He returned the call the next day and came out that morning to get it cut. The glass fit perfectly and we are so happy to have our master shower back. Keep up the great work Alan.

After doing some research on Angie's List we hired Alan Hamilton to fix our walk-in shower that our builders never installed right. Immediately it became clear we made the correct choice. His wife Diane came over to see the shower, discuss options, answer my many questions and draw up an estimate for the contract. Once the project began it took a week to complete. Alan was punctual, courteous, very professional and clean. It was nice seeing the work unfold so I could see him repair and rebuild our shower the right way with the right tools, materials and supplies. We're so happy to have our shower back. It looks great and we know it was built using the right materials for the job. No more wet drywall or loose tiles or mold. We will definitely hire Alan Hamilton Ceramic Installation again.

The job went very well. Alan was prompt and professional. He took out all of the tile that was removed and cleaned the area daily. The tub/shower looks beautiful. He even finished a day early.

They were very good. They fit us in, we had an emergency, and they were able to work us in and they did a really great job. We bought the tile ourselves. My thought is around $500 but that's my best guess at this point. They were great. They showed up right on time, they called us to let us know they were coming, when they'd be there. He was delayed so we got a call from his wife the night before saying something came up and he wasn't going to be able to finish the job, so he's gonna be a day late. and that was fine.

His wife Diane came to my house to survey the damage. She was appalled at the poor work that had been done. She made her recommendations, took measurements, and told me exactly what and how much to buy. I was very impressed with her knowledge and professionalism.Finally the day came for the work to begin. Mr. Hamilton, Alan, came and began to work his magic. The bathroom is beautiful, functional and doesn't leak. He was punctual, very tidy, professional, explained what he was doing all along the way. Alan did an excellent job installing the new tile in the master bathroom. Also, he kept the work area clean, and was very respectful of the rest of my home. We have already asked Alan to repair some tiles on our kitchen floor. I would highly recommend Alan and Diane to anyone who needs tile work. The master bathroom is just perfect now!

Due to a sub terrain water line leak the guest bedroom concert floor had to be damaged to fix the sub terrain water leak. We reach out to Alan Hamilton Ceramic Installation to redo the floor once the water leak was repaired. We were expecting guests that would be staying in the guest bedroom in the late October. Our first contact was with Diane and when we explained the critical timeline we were facing she agreed to help by using two of the days they had planned for some time off. Diane was in constant contact with us and even let us know when there was a possibility that Alan might be late of the first day of the installation job. Alan did a truly professional job and completed the job within the two day schedule. It is nice in today’s environment to find a true craftsman. I would highly recommend Alan Hamilton Ceramic Installation and have recommended them to all our neighbors.

Great job! Alan and Diane Hamilton are both very professional and easy to work with. When giving the estimate Diane made some excellent suggestions on how to update the area in process of replacing the old tile. And Alan is really a master craftsman, very meticulous and careful in his work. He worked for 5 days and was very careful to keep the area clean, a real challenge since removing old sheet rock and tile is inherently very messy. The results are outstanding! My 43 year old bathtub/shower area is now beautiful and up to date.

Great Job!!!!! I have a rental property in the Tampa area (however I reside in Los Angeles). My Tampa property managers had alerted me to the fact that the master bathroom shower in my rental was in sad shape. The house is not new it was built in 1988. So I used Angie’s list to find and contact Dian Hamilton of “Alan Hamilton Ceramic Installation” for an estimate and advice as to an inexpensive remedy for the situation since this was just a rental property and I was not looking to remodel the whole bathroom. After she went to the property and inspected the shower she came up with a great solution. Since it was just the shower-pan that was badly leaking and the rest of the shower was fine (see attached photos) she offered to replace just the bottom portion and floor of the shower. Which was much less expensive than redoing the whole shower. After Alan began to work on the shower he discovered that cause of the leaking shower-pan was due to a substantial overgrowth of tree and shrubbery roots inside the bottom of the shower. The job came out great and started and ended on time as she promised! Dian also sent photos every step of the way, some of which I have attached. I will definitely use them again.

I came across Alan Hamilton Ceramic and called and spoke to Alan's wife, Diane. She was very, very nice and said that they do small jobs all the time and that Alan would make it look very nice. The only issue was, Alan was so backed up with work, it was going to take until October, 2016 to schedule the repair. I originally made contact with Diana in early May, 2016. Diane worked very hard to work me into Alan's schedule in mid July. Over the course of a few days, Alan cut out an area of tile around the shower handle so the new tile would look like it was designed that way. I found some tile that I liked and Alan did a masterful job making it look great! I can finally use my shower again...after about 5-6 months! Many thanks to Alan and Diane Hamilton. I will definitely use your services again.

Mrs. Hamilton came and gave an estimate on the exact process for replacing our old shower. She showed me a portfolio of numerous tile showers and tile bathroom work that Mr. Hamilton had completed in the past several years. She gave me a detailed estimate, the process for completing the work, and a time frame when the work could be done. We chose this company and set up the date when he would begin. Everything was completed according to their timeframe. We are extremely pleased with the quality of work. I would definitely use him again if I need additional shower/tile work. He was very prompt and very professional. I highly recommend Alan Hamilton.

Alan Hamilton is an artist with tile. His work is absolute perfection. I chose this company because I liked the fact that the person I am paying is the person who is doing the work rather than getting an estimate from one person and having the work done by a crew I never met. His wife, Diane, was so informative when she came to my house to measure and write up the bid. She has a wealth of knowledge about this business and offered many suggestions which I liked. One suggestion was to go to Tampa Tile for the tile which I did. Their selection was great and I purchased the tile from them. This job took a little more than three weeks to do. Alan showed up on time every day, worked throughout the day and cleaned up after he left every day. He is very honest and trustworthy and I would have no problem with him working if I was not home. When I say his work is perfection, this is what I mean. The tile is laid perfectly straight and evenly spaced. In fact the grout lines on the floor match up with the grout lines in the walk in shower. I will be having Alan Hamilton put ceramic tile in my laundry room, kitchen and adjoining dining area, and the front entry. His work is worth waiting for.

I recently met and worked with Alan and Diane Hamilton on two bathroom projects (one still to be done). I had a cracked tile under the window in my large bath. Using the bathtub shower allowed water to get behind the tile to the wall. My house is old, and a match for the original tile is no longer available. I got four estimates for the work and different suggestions as to how to repair the damage. By far, the Hamiltons' estimate and work are the most thorough and professional I was offered. Diane came to my home, assessed the job, showed me photos of some of their earlier work, made a creative suggestion for my repair, gave me a price, and scheduled the job. Alan arrived at the time and on the day scheduled to do the work. The task turned out to be much harder than originally assumed because the tile around my window was embedded in cement. This couldn't be detected until the work started. Alan had to work slowly and carefully to remove what tile had to be removed without damaging the tile that was intended to remain. Devoting many more hours than we thought necessary, Alan completed the tile removal and replacement in a very long day. He returned the following day to grout and finish the job. He also came prepared to replace a couple of cracked kitchen tiles. I gave him a break on that for another day. Alan's work is professional and meticulous. His cleanup was more than I could ask for. I didn't hesitate to leave my house while he worked. I'm left with a very attractive white tile frame around my entire window against my original yellow tile. It appears to be a design feature, not a repair. Despite the additional hours required for the job, there was no change to the original estimate. I'm very pleased and couldn't ask for better work. My next job is far more extensive, probably replacing a shower pan. Alan will also do that job as Diane has already made her suggestions and priced it for me. Diane and Alan are both professional, friendly, and delightful people, I don't hesitate to use them again and would recommend them to anyone. Thanks, Alan and Diane.
