The associate performed thorough tuneup and was not in a hurry to mark it done on the paper. He almost spend more than an hour checking all the problems and issues with the system.

Did a nice job and very professional in August. Called them back in December to have evaporator coil and pan replaced. Excellent service, very responsive and over $1300 less than another quote that I received. Kristen in the office was great and my initial technician was very professional.

Quickly found the leak in the coil and followed with a hard push to replace the whole system which is only 8 years old. A sales person came out to develop the new system price and after I asked for the repair price only, I received the quote. As they were the lowest cost, I proceeded with the repair which was promptly scheduled and quickly performed the next morning. The install technician appears to have done an excellent job (time will tell).

They gave us a good deal on a new AC unit. Unfortunately, I can't say the installation went off without a hitch. One of the technicians fell through the ceiling. They sent someone out to patch the hole, but never sent anyone to finish repairing the ceiling. I was happy with the price, but disappointed they didn’t follow up with the repair.

The work done was okay because I haven't have any problems with it. They did a couple of trips to find what the problem is but overall I found the service is satisfactory. They gave me enough information concerning what needed to be done. I was happy with the service. I'm currently working with them right now to figure out how the warranty on parts of the outside unit is handled when I use a service that did not put in the unit.

I purchased a big deal for this company. It wasn't too bad. When they came around they did the work that they said they would do. They did a good job. My only big complaint about them is he had mentioned that our air vent was in the wrong place and after weeks and weeks of no call backs, and call backs after two weeks, they just stop returning our call. That was the only, it was the aftermath. He had mentioned about the vent and I said that makes sense. And then they were supposed to follow up on me to get someone out here to see where we could get the vent moved and all of that and it just never really seemed to happen. The deal that I purchased that went great. I have no complaints on that. They called, they made their appointment, they came out, they did their inspection. It was very thorough. It was just the follow up when they said that something was wrong and never, no matter how many times I called them, it just seems like they called back once and then I wouldn't hear from them for two to three weeks and I would call back again informing about the question and they said yea, yea, we'll get back to you, a few days later I call them back and nothing heard from you guys, so given a lot of that.

Matt, the Service/Sales writer, did a good job providing his estimate and a description of services to be performed. The installation was completed in one day, as promised. Workers were polite and cleaned up their work area and all materials, and disposed of the old unit. Best part is that it works! This is the first time in 12 years that the second story of this house has been comfortable, and we want to thank Air Masters for their wonderful service. We also want to complement the manufacturer (Trane), who provided good online tools to help us select a system that was right for our house. Would highly recommend Air Masters and Trane to anyone in Tampa looking for a replacement unit.

Excellent technician. Did a great job of explaining everything to me. Installed UV light for allergies/air purification for a cost of $695. Since then I have researched this and have found the product to be good, however, I think the cost of $695. may be on the high side. Would definitely use this business again and would ask for the same technician.

Within a week, I had the old system and vents (that critters had munched on allowing my air conditioning to blow into the attic!) everything was cleaned up, electrical was taken care of and they were totally marvelous!

I was very pleased with their service tech and he actually arrived early. He was very professional and knew his job well. He found a bad part that was covered under warranty and when he repaired it, the system performed much better. Most impressive was the fact that there was no hard sell on service contracts. I asked about them and will sign up with them for the service plan because of their perfomance and history of customer satisfaction with Angie's list. Cost of the plan was also a factor. I would highly recommend this company.

I had a dispute with the company regarding what their warranty covered and did not cover. I was billed for a service call that I felt should of been covered by the warranty. After disputing the bill, I was promptly contacted by Mr Philip Gonsalves to resolve the issue. I am very satisfied with the resolution and the service that they provided and would recommend them to anyone needing a new system or needing work done on an old system.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and I plan on purchasing a new unit from them in the next month or so. The inspection experience was great.

He billed us for 1 hour of service. Little did I know, Air Masters charges $59 for the first 1/2 hour and then $50 for each additional half hour. First, I find that a ludicrous way to charge people, and had I known that, I would've called someone else. Second, if it took him 60 minutes to check the air temp, check the filter and drain a line - then Air Masters' technicians are either incompetent or they are committing fraud by overbilling their customers. I was OUTRAGED to see on my bill a $15.00 "FUEL SURCHARGE". OUTRAGED. Air Masters is located 6.9 miles from the site of service. 6.9 miles is about a fifth of a gallon of gasoline - that is abominable that they would charge $15 for fuel. ISN'T THAT THE POINT OF THE $59 SERVICE CALL FEE?????????? The reason this post is going up 5 weeks after our service call is because it took them FIVE WEEKS to send me an invoice. FIVE WEEKS! As a landlord, receipts are crucial. And even though I was calling and emailing twice a week to get my bill (of course, they charged my credit card at the point of service), it took this long to see an invoice. When I called this morning to talk to the manager, Amy, she cut me off mid-sentence and transferred me back to the dispatcher. That is poor customer service when a manager refuses to handle a customer complaint and instead pushes the customer onto its lackies. DO NOT USE AIR MASTERS OF TAMPA BAY. UPDATE: The owner, John, called me to discuss my service call, the poor customer service following the actual service call, as well as the $15 fuel surcharge. While my opinion hasn't changed that the general staff at Air Masters did a poor job in conducting business, I do appreciate that the owner called to discuss the issues. The company did refund the $15 fuel surcharge back to my credit card, which I appreciate. And they assured me that if I use them again in the future, they will not charge the fuel fee.

The deal was supposed to include a $75 rebate for my electric company. When I asked the technician about it, he said he wasn't sure about the rebate. I also called the office and the secretary said she would call me back regarding the rebate and never did, instead I received a call from their GM to explain the rebate. He was very polite, undertanding and most importantly listened and explained the issue to my satisfaction.

After reading so many positive reviews on Air Masters, I was anticipating a good experience. That was not the case. Although I was able to get a prompt appointment for an emergency situation, that was the end of the positives. My air conditioning had stopped working due to the overflow pan filling up with water. The drain apparently was blocked, which seems to be a very common reason for repair. The technician arrived on Saturday morning and concurred that this was the problem. He opened the drain up using nitrogen and flushed the system. He also told me that he needed to replace a capacitator ($119 plus labor). I presumed this had something to do with the air conditioner not working but later found out this was not the fact. He also replaced some of the PVC pipe on the drain. The air conditioner was running when he left but several hours later it stopped when the overflow pan filled with water. The technician returned the next day and said he would try to clean out the drain again but advised it probably would not work and I needed to think about installing a pump and creating an overhead drainage system that would go through the attic. He estimated this cost at $800 to $1200. Within minutes of his leaving we knew we still had a system that was not draining and therefore not working. My boyfriend started working on this issue and found that the drain appeared to be completely open but for some reason, the water was flowing to the overflow system rather than the primary drainage system. We conferred with a neighbor who is in this business who looked at the pipe installed by the technician and said the problem was a double trap. He though that originally, the drain was plugged, was successfully flushed by the technician but the technician improperly configured the PVC pipe he installed so that the system no longer drained the water. Online information verified that this was likely the case. After trying to diagnose and fix the system ourselves we called Air Masters on Wednesday morning and four calls later (calls were not returned as promised) Air Masters agreed to send a technician to inspect the system repairs. On Friday, another technician came, and replaced the PVC correctly (capped vent and removed the trap as there is a trap at the other end of the drainage system). The system has been running fine since then. Calls after the repair on Friday to the company went unreturned. All in all, at least five calls were made and not returned. I do not expect all aspects of each repair to go perfectly, but I think very poorly of this company and how they respond to a customer issue. I only wished that I had called a different company to begin with. My out of pocket expenses would probably be half and I would have had a proper repair the first day. I almost had them do the expensive re-routing of the drain and installation of a pump and am so glad I did not.

He came on time, and put shoe covers on before getting into our house, took them off before he got on attic, then put them back on again before walking in the house. Work was done very quickly.

The representative of their company was punctual and installed the equipment. I would rate this company as A

They did what they were supposed to do and everything went fine. I had no issues scheduling the appointment and they were very flexible. They recommended I replace a part, which I had them do, resulting in the extra fee.

We have been customers of Air Masters' since 2008. We feel that they are honest with us about any repairs they deem necessary and that their fees are reasonable.
