AGS Stone

Our kitchen was remodeled completely and our contractor recommended a counter top company right down the street from AGS - they were horribly unhelpful while visiting the showroom and then never got back to us with a quote (needless to say, they require a separate review). We stopped by AGS the same day and knew after meeting with Jackie that we would be purchasing counters from them. She was extremely helpful, especially since we have never purchased counters before and had little knowledge. She spent a good amount of time explaining and aiding in the choices available to us. Jackie was able to give us a quote right then based on our layout from our kitchen designer. We had several months between making the decision and being ready for the templating of the counters. All staff that I spoke with arranging appointments and asking questions were very helpful and polite. Staff that installed the counters showed up on time and worked quickly to install the counters. They allowed me to ask questions and check everything out after completion. I did not feel rushed like they were ready to get out of my home since they were done.

My experience with AGS stone was very pleasant. Based on the reviews here on Angie's list, I decided to give them a call. My first phone call was answered by Gary, he instructed me on how to measure my counter. A couple of weeks later, I called AGS again and this time Peggy answered the phone. I bombarded her with questions of which she patiently answered each and everyone. She was very, very helpful as I was still in the research mode. At no time did I feel pressured by Gary or Peggy to come into the store. One Saturday I was in one of our home improvement store and decided to speak to someone on their countertop products. I was always gravitating towards quartz stone, so naturally that was my first inquiry. The salesperson kept steering me towards granite. I told her I am really interested in quartz, however she kept showing granites. I left the store with a quote for a granite that she liked. smh Finally, I made the time to travel to AGS Stone. Alex showed me around the slabs they had in stock, which was mostly granite. He then took me into the store and showed me samples of quartz. Jackie took over once we went back inside and was very helpful making suggestions. After I narrowed my choice down to three samples, she offered to let me take them home for my husband to have an input in the final style decision. After my first visit to the store, I knew they will be the ones to install my countertop. Roland did the measurements, he was very pleasant and we chatted the hold time he was there. He made a suggestion for me to put a backsplash on the end of my countertop where it meets with the encasement for my refrigerator. I was not sure how that willl look but her assured me it will look good and he was right. Fabio worked with me on the placement of the template on the slab. After I left Fabio, I felt confident everything was going to be fine. John and Jose did the installation. John had to removed several of my tile backsplash and he took very good care not to break them. I was very impress! Jose installed the undermount sink and the slab on my island. Both John and Jose answered my questions before and after the installation Overall, AGS staff was very professional, very knowledgeable and very patient. ,

AGS and it's contractors were a pleasure to work with. From start to finish, they were helpful, responsive and professional I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

The installers arrived earlier than the window that we were given and that was great for us. They were personable ( cool as my husband put it) answered all questions without hesitation, remained focused on the job at hand, and did their job quickly and efficiently. And, the granite looks great!

This is the second time we purchased a granite countertop from Praxis ( AGS Stone). We went back simply because the first purchase and installation more than met our expectations, and the second time was no exception. Jackie helped us pick out the granite and provide the estimate. By helping, I mean, she fully understood what we were looking for and walked us (literally) through the choices available in her warehouse. We did choose to purchase sinks from her as well, to ensure accuracy in the undercounter fit and placement . Roland came a week or so later, made a template, and answered my questions. He ensured our new faucets would fit with the sinks and backsplash. Since I was doing the tearout, his advice on what I needed to have ready was very helpful, and reassuring. I thought it would be more involved on my part, and happy that there were no worries. Juan and Bobby arrived ahead of time to install our countertop and were very professional in the care of our home and new counter. It simply looks great and we are very happy with the granite and the entire process. We have one more bath in need of granite, and we will return for that as well. Highly recommend.

The design consultant at AGS was very helpful. She helped me determine what would look best in our space and referred me to a local warehouse where I could get the exact piece I wanted. Gary, Alex, and Jose were extremely helpful and accommodating in their abilities to design, measure, re-measure, and install. The first cut was done incorrectly due to a miscommunication, however, AGS was more than willing to correct the mistake and re-install. The process was very lengthy and involved, but AGS was professional and accommodating throughout the entire project. I would definitely recommend this company and use them again.

We went to AGS Stone located on Adamo Dr in Tampa and we were greeted by Alex. He was very nice and infomative as he walked us through the wearhouse explaning the diffrence in the stones and provded us with many samples we were able to take home. We also met Jackie at the store she was so personable and friendly and really helped us in making the right desicion for the stone we selected. We placed our order within a short period of time they came out to do the measurements and within a few weeks we were ready for the installation. The installers came on time and moved through the job very quickly and removed all the old countertops. We are thrilled with the results and the service that we received from AGS Stone and will return to have them assist us when we are ready to remodel our bathrooms.

The showroom and sales team were wonderful. Helped us out in selecting the best granite to go with cupboards. Works that installed were very pleasant and respectful to my home and to me.

We were more than satisfied with every step of the way. Their Product quality is high and every person working at AGS was informative, patient and did expert work. I recommend you visit AGS before making your decision on a countertop.

The choice of shopping at AGS was based on many favorable reviews. Our project was to tear out the existing bathroom vanity tops and replace with quartz, hopefully without damage to adjacent mirrors. AGS had a great selection, gave expert advice, and did a top notch installation with no collateral damage, perfect fit, and quick in and out. The final cost beat all other vendors. We are very happy with the results.

My experience started by stopping in to their shop on Hwy 60. I was greated by Jackie, one of the owners of the company. Jackie was very pleasant and took all the time I needed to walk around and showed me the product that was on site. I was able to see how the stone is worked once it is received by them. Very nice clean opporation. I took a few samples home to see how they would look in my kitchen. This helped a lot. Stones that I thought I would love didn't work well in my lighting etc. After I decided what stone I wanted to go with, Cambria Quarts/Whitney, I provided Jackie with an estimate of how many square feet I needed. The next day I was contacted by someone from the office to schedule an appointment to have actual measurements taken. I'm sorry I cannot remember the persons name but he called before he cameto let me know that he was on the way. He did a nice job of creating a mold for my new counters. Within a week and a half the counters were installed and fit perfect. There was no mess for me to clean up. The installers were very clean and seem to take pride in what they were doing. The price that I was quoted was exactly what I was charged. There are no hidden fees ect. Everything is included in the original cost. I can't say enough about how impressed I was with the whole process.

Everything was great from the get-go. Penny was very informative and nice when I first called AGS. She responded to numerous questions via email and/or phone in a timely matter. The estimate we received was not the least expensive or most expensive; but the service we received combined with their rating and reputation made it an easy choice. The morning that we were scheduled for the install we suffered water damage in our home and had to reschedule. Alex was very understanding and sympathetic to our situation. He was also very accommodating in rescheduling the install once we were ready. The whole experience with AGS was smooth and wonderful. We LOVE the look of our granite and under mount sinks. The quality of their products and services surpassed our expectations. We are SO pleased with them and would definitely use them again! Thank you AGS for not disappointing!!

AGS - had a good selection of granite. Salesperson Alex was very helpful. Had someone to make a template in a few days. Project was complete in 2 weeks. They were very professional and kind.

I quoted countertops with 5 companies and I chose AGS. They are the best price, quality and customer service. I worked with Alex to get my quote and everything was perfect. He responded in a professional manner and delivered very quickly. I cant stand people who say they sit around and never got a quote...well maybe pick up the phone and call because they respond immediately. I had already selected my granite so it made this transaction smooth and quick. They came and templated my cabinets within a day. Once they received my granite I came to the shop and I selected where I wanted the template on the granite. The shop and employees are all great and fun to talk to. Within a few days they came to install it. The installers are all awesome too. They listened to all my needs and expectations. I am my own contractor and remodeled my house with extra care and perfection so I expected the same from them. The installers explained everything with me and the granite came out great. This whole evolution was maybe 10 days from start to finish. This is the company you want to hire without a doubt. If you are chosing another company you are making a mistake. They will most likely beat the price because they dont charge you per slab then sell the left overs. Not only that you have great customer service and the installers strive for perfection and the seam came out perfect. Great experience. Choose AGS!

It has been more than a week since our visit to AGS and, unfortunately, we never received the estimate they promised to email to me. They are the only facility we visited that did not provide us with the cost estimate we had requested. All the other facilities provided us with their estimates the same day we visited their facility. I did not follow up with AGS since it is my belief that if a company is not responsive to a reasonable request that will generate more business for them, I can't be confident that they will be responsive if we give them our business and will perform the work as promised or in a timely fashion. This is in response to the Company's comments: The only time the Company called me was on February 9, 2015, after reading my February 5th review of them on Angie's list. The purpose of their call, as stated in the voice mail message they left, was to discuss my review on Angie's list. I returned their call the same day. The owner stated an estimate was emailed to me on January 27th. However, even though I had provided them with my correct email address during my visit, it was determined that they sent it to an erroneous email address. This lack of attention to detail is also concerning to me.

There was a large granite selection. They had exactly what I wanted. customer services was outstanding from selection time to scheduling through installation. Price was well within my budget. Finished products, perfect.

After first entering the showroom in September 2014 the complete job has now been completed (March 4th 2015). All work was done to satisfaction and with high quality. The installers were very professional and cleaned up after work each day. Gary, the owner is a voice of reason and went out of his way to make sure we were happy with the installation and repairs.

AGS was an absolute pleasure to work with on my kitchen renovation. Jackie and her team focus on educating the client prior to choosing a stone. Everyone from their company was professional, client focused, experienced and knowledgeable. Their customer service and craftsmanship was refreshing. They delivered an a above average experience and a superior finished product.

Working with AGS was a breeze. We ended up being very dissatisfied with the service that we were getting from the Stone company that our Contractor asked us to use. We walked into AGS and were surprised how attentive they were to their customers. We were in the middle of a whole home reno and were juggling a million things at once. AGS walked us through each step of the way. They even were able to meet our crazy fast approaching deadline for installing our kitchen countertops. Any problems, issues, or questions were worked out promptly by Gary and Staff as they put 100% into making their customers satisfied. Countertops look amazing!
