AGS Stone

These guys are phenomenal!! I don't do granite or remodels for a living, so I wanted a very easy and turnkey solution to my new-ish kitchen and I didn't want to feel like I overpaid. Penny and Jacque helped me and my husband. Bill, their cabinet guru, assisted as well. Their expertise on finishes, install, and style was so important in helping us select our granite. They KNOW their granite. They had some really nice granite in stock, but we wanted to see more, so they sent us to a few places including UMI in Citrus Park. We found our countertop there. We were married to our cabinets, and had a hard time picking granite that would complement them... but we finally did and we are SO happy! Fabio came out to measure and do the layout. He was on time, and neat. He also had great ideas about how to extend our bar and where to do the seams. Once the granite was delivered to AGS, I went in with one of our cabinet doors and Fabio, Jacque and I "laid" out the countertop. They helped me pick the best sparkles and inclusions to showcase my rock. It was really fast and fun. It took about 10 minutes! Then 1 week later, they installed. The guys were incredibly fast and clean, and very kind and considerate of my belongings. 'm kind of a micro-manager, but I just went in my office and let them have at it. They were done within an hour or so. Incidentally, these guys DRILL your granite composite sink into the counter. Many places just glue it. It's something to consider. Definitely give these guys a chance, they will make your life so much easier. Worth every penny.

The staff especially Jackie the owner was very pleasant to work with. She was always willing to give us estimates of multiple grades of granite. About 7 days before they were scheduled to install my kitchen countertops, I also requested them to manufacture a bathroom vanity top. They completed this within the 7 days and installed both on the same day, so that I did not have to inconvience myself and take another day off of work.

Working with the company from my initial phone call for a price inquiry to the completion of the installation was stress free. I have been shopping for granite for quite a while as this was a large investment. I have gone to numerous companies around the Tampa area and I have NEVER received the service/treatment that Jackie provided to my husband and I. From the first day she showed us the grounds the workshop and explained the entire process to us in its entirety which was greatly appreciated. It didn't take us long to decide to work with Jackie and her team. When it came time for us to pick a slab I wasn't fond of any slabs they had on site, they had no problem with sending me to a place where I could pick my own slab, again I was very appreciative of this. After picking my slab I came back days later because I was beginning to have second thoughts on the stone I had chosen, but our slabs were behind several other slabs. As it was late in the afternoon (close to closing) Jackie asked that I come back the next day and she would have the slab moved to the front so I could take another look but at the same time she kept reassuring me that I had made an excellent choice, but again her having the slab moved was another small gesture that went a long way with me. Then on installation day coming home to a brand new kitchen was a dream come true! And Jackie and her team made this major purchase that I was anticipating to be very stressful quite enjoyable. I would recommend to this company to anyone looking to make updates to their home.

It took several weeks to determine granite stone included stones offered by AGS. The kitchen included a raised bar and several angles which required two large stone slabs. On our first visit to AGS Jacqueline took considerable time to show us their granite slabs and provide comprehensive information and details about the whole process, including a sample contract with all attachments for decisions. We were sold by the fact that they manage and are responsible for the complete process in-house: contract, coordination, fabrication and installation. Fabio arrived as scheduled, and finitely measured and constructed a pattern and answered many questions. At his invitation, we visited the shop to review the layout of the stone and discussed the stone's patterns and connecting points. John and Roland arrived as scheduled, tore-out the old counter top and installed the new one very efficiently. They cleaned up and explained how to properly take care of the granite counter top and sink. All was completed in a matter of hours. Everyone was a complete professional and a joy to work with.

I got them from Angie's List. They were excellent! They had great customer service, they were very professional, very polite, and the work that was done was wonderful. They were really nice people and they did a great job. I really liked them! The work was great. I referred him to another friend of mine who used him. It's a great company. Everything is all the same with granite, nothing is cheap. They are all about the same. I found a couple of little areas of the granite that were not completely polished. It's just that they missed it. They got delayed on the day of the installation so it didn't quite go as planned, but it was a truck issue because their truck broke down.

Jackie was very nice and informative during the entire process. Despite putting down a 50% deposit, we could never get an actual start date. It would always be starting, then we're not coming. Things never followed the process that we were told would happen. Needless to say, it was very frustrating. We chose the company for its great ratings on Angie's List, and have no doubt that they probably do wonderful work, but the process to get there wasn't wort it. We had to scramble to find another contractor to finish the job after they started, but we got what we wanted in a timely fashion.

Excellent service! Jackie was so knowledgable and always made me feel like her most important customer. Highly recommend AGS!

There were delays. Some inconvenient plumbing issues. Poor communication, promised calls not made, or not showing up;-) There were some delays due to illness...things like that are understandable and tolerable. It was like we were being hurried through a process, then delayed because things were not properly thought out. Some work had to be backed up because it wasn't done properly at first. Rather than two weeks job took about six weeks. Finished product was good, not perfect, but okay. I really feel the are trying to do too much without sufficiently trained employees.

We thought the price was good, and that their service would be as well based on our visit. We were not disappointed. We had purchased a new faucet ourselves and the installer looked it over and found that it would not work properly with the backsplash. He did not try to sell us a faucet, but we did take his advice and purchased one that would work. The actual installation was only a week later. I wish I remembered their names, they were great to work with at the measurement and installation part or our new counter-top. We are quite pleased with all aspects of our interaction with AGS. We love our countertop.

The counter top and sink portion went well. We also had a granite piece of same material cut to go on top of half wall of shower to replace what was there. Unfortunately they were unable to install this piece and didn't let us know in advance that this would be an issue. I had to get my tile person to come out and finish the install, which cost me extra. Had I known I would have coordinated tile work I had done earlier in the week with this.

Jackie was friendly and helpful from the start. She was prompt with follow up and check-ins. All time frames were met. We appreciate the personalized attention. We'd highly recommend Praxis!!

In may we stopped by, Gary, the owner, walked us through the whole process. We went to a few warehouses he suggested and decided on the granite we liked. As it turned out - he had a better selection of the granite we liked. We put money down to reserve the two slabs. Later we reserved a third that they were able to acquired from the same lot. When we were finally able to have our templates made we were told that it would take another 3 days to finish the installation but it only took 2 days. Everything turned out great.

Arrived on time, performed all work required, and fixed all unforeseen problems. The workers were professional, friendly, and clean. They even swept the driveway.

Everything went very well. Once my fiance and 1 selected the granite, it was only a few days to complete the in tire process. All crew members showed up on time and were polite. The overall quality was great as well.

Everyone at the store is very nice and they take all the time you need. They did a very nice job from start to finish. The workers were on time and very knowledgeable.. They were on time and cleaned up afterward. The company was great to work with.

Jackie was extremely helpful when it came to choosing the granite for our kitchen. Once our cabinets were in place the AGS crew made a template and reviewed the layout of the countertop on our granite, with us, to assure we were making the best use of the stone. On installation day, the crew arrived on time and were very professional. They installed the countertops and made any adjustments we requested. Two weeks later we installed our slide-in glass top range and discovered that a little of the stone edge we thought was going to be hidden, actually was in plain sight. AGS came out to grind and polish the exposed edges at no additional charge.

Gary & Jackie hand carried us through the selection process and explained everything that would happen. The template and installation when smoothly and the finished product is beautiful. All in all, a professional & pleasant experience.

Roland and Johnny arrived on time. Work was completed as agreed.

The (fellows) installers came and worked quickly installing granite counter-tops, backslash, shelf, and window ledge in the kitchen as well as 2 bathroom counter-tops

Needed granite installed on our covered outside kitchen which has been an ongoing project (one year + thanks to my husband who thinks he can do everything himself, which of course he cannot) which needed to get finished. I stopped by AGS on 7/5/13 (thank goodness they were opened the day after the holiday) & Jackie (husband & wife owners) patiently answered all my questions during my visit. I had an approximate square footage estimate for the granite & made her aware I was on a budget to complete the kitchen. There are different slabs out front to choose from but as I was on a budget, Jackie told me Uba Tuba 3 cm was the best value at $34.99 per sq ft installed. She gave me a sample approx 6 x 6" to take home which in my opinion was the best thing she could do. I was able to show it to my husband & our contractor, place it on the bar & image how great it was going to look. I had also gone to Home Depot to see if they could do a better price & the answer was no, it was $35 sq ft for the thinner granite (2 cm?). Went home armed with the estimate & the great reviews from Angie's List & called the next week to let her know I was ready to proceed. She was again most helpful & professional and an appointment was made for the template to be made. There was a bit of delay as she said she would email pictures of the different edges so I could choose but forgot to do so. That was sorted out when I stopped by with my initial deposit (I stopped by & paid half with my American Express card). Some of my emails to them were returned as their mailbox was full so I decided telephone contact was the best method to accomplish our transaction. I know they are very busy as there were customers coming in both days I was at their office. As our contractor (my husband finally threw in the towel & we hired someone to finish the project) was still doing some work on the kitchen, he was there when the template was made. Both myself & the contractor were here when the granite was installed exactly 1 wk after the template was done. I just happened to have that day off & the kitchen is outside but was glad to see the installation. 3 guys arrived around 10:15 am and got right to work. Our kitchen/bar is 20+ feet long & the granite was approximately 110 sq feet. Also the top bar was not level (contractor's fault) but they shimmed it up to make it level. They worked until after 6PM and then cleaned up after themselves by sweeping. And it's hot outside here in Plant City in July. The bar now has tile on the surround which I hope you can see in the pictures attached. Our contractor did the tile work which covered up the shims needed to level the bar. AGS did the bar top & backsplash. It looks great. Excellent advice from Jackie helped considerably. Installers arrived and did a very good job.... Done in 4 - 5 hours. Joe, the plumber, also did a good job. Everyone pleasant and cooperative.

Jackie was friendly and understanding about our project and helped me find the perfect slab for our job. She was patient during my decision making process.

The excellent advice we got from Jackie and Gary at AGS Stone helped considerably. It was a very informative and educational experience that made our decision easy. Installers arrived on time and did a very good job ... done in 4-5 hours! We were amazed that the surfaces were cut so exactly that everything fit perfectly. Joe the Plumber (really ... his name is Joe) also did a good job getting us hooked up and operational.. Everyone was pleasant and cooperative. Price was very competitive, and we have no cognitive dissonance ... we love our new granite! Why didn't we do this sooner? AGS Stone has our strongest recommendation.
