We spotted a ceiling leak but were uncertain if it was a plumbing, air conditioning or roofing problem. The roofer confirmed that it was not a roofing problem. He was so through and honest. Should we need our roof repaired or replaced in the future, we will, definitely, call Affordable Roofing, again.

Cannot say enough good things about the service we received from Affordable Roofing. The roof was installed on the day they promised it would be done, the workers were on time and completed the job in a timely manner, considering it was a rainy week. They did a good job of cleaning up around the house and was polite to boot. The Office staff was great to work with, especially Claudine, with any questions or help I needed. The roof looks great. I would highly recommend this Company. Excellent Service !

Affordable is not the cheapest roofing contractor in the area. However, they do appear to be the most professional. They arrived exactly when scheduled and finished a full day ahead of schedule. They constantly were cleaning up the work site. Owner or manager we're on site throughout the project. I am extremely satisfied with the quality of both the product and workmanship.

They were fantastic. Excellent service. They did very very good job. The supervisor, if he says something he will follow through with it, something that you don't see very often. Terrific experience.

In addition to the affordability of the work that was performed, I was extremely pleased with the level of service I received from Steve and his partner Charlie; they completed the job within the allotted time. The price that was quoted for a minor roof repair also included a 1 year warranty! I had such peace of mind just knowing that I hired a company that was “AFFORDABLE” and COMPETENT! I would highly recommend this company!

Horrible. Gentleman called the day of the appointment and obviously did not want to come out and look at my home. He looked at Google Earth. He knew I had a manufactured home. He told me the cheapest solution was to put a blue tarp on the roof and call it done. I told him when he had time in his schedule to come on a different day to call me. I have NEVER heard from him again. NO professionalism. NO courtesy. Made me feel like I have an inferior home. Kept repeating if I had a concrete home....etc.

They did a great job. Definitely ask for John for your initial appointment. He is extremely professional and very personable. He did not pressure us at all. They actually started several weeks earlier than anticipated due to a cancellation. The workers showed up on time & were also very professional & despite the rain had the job completed in 2 1/2 days. Had it not been for the rain it would have been finished in 2 days. Everything was protected when it did rain for approximately 2 hours so we didn't have to worry about any leaks. They did not stop except for short lunch breaks until the job was finished. They stayed late to try to make up for lost time due to the rain. They left everything neat after each day, only leaving a few items out. We actually offered to store some of their supplies in our garage. When the job was completed they cleaned everything up nicely. It's been several weeks & we've found very few nails in the yard. The added ridge vent that John suggested along with the new roof has made a big difference in how warm our home feels. We've actually turned up our thermostat and still feel cool at times. We have not received our first energy bill since having the roof replaced so I cannot comment on that but I'm assuming we'll see a reduction in the cost. I would definitely recommend Affordable Roofing. They were not the lowest price. They were in the middle of 4 estimates but we are extremely pleased we choose them. With what they offered comparable to other companies it was worth the small added expense. Like I said make sure you request John if you make an appointment for an estimate. You WILL NOT feel like you have a car salesmen in your home with John. He just lays it out with no pressure & will give you the bottom line cost with only the one estimate. Unlike other companies who kept coming back with lower prices when we wouldn't sign a contract the day they came out. We've received many comments from neighbors saying how nice our new roof looks! Thanks John & all the workers for the great job!

Steve was on time for the appointment to estimate the work. He quickly found the source of the leak. He gave me a time window of when the work would be completed, and the repair was made within that window. The repair solved the leaking roof issue. Steve was very professional in both doing the estimate and completing the work.

Bottom line, they did a great job. I was contacted by the roofer, Rex, and he set up the time and day to come out. He was on time, friendly and explained what he was planning on doing then got right to work. He replaced the skylight with a new one and some other minor issues he found and also cut some tree branches while he was up there! Rex also identified some issues (and fixed them) on the other skylight due to a crappy job done by another roofer. I'll call them going forward for anything roof and will recommend them to my buddies.

They were great, professional, on time and provided me with before and after pics since I am out of state and had the new roof it on my rental home.

Steve came out exactly when he said he would. We explained that we didn't have the financial means to replace the roof, however he offered to let us know what he found that needed repair. My husband went up on the roof with him as Steve showed my husband what needed to be done everywhere there was an issue, and explained in detail, how to do it, as well as writing a list of what we needed to get in order to do the repairs ourselves. He was honest, understanding and very friendly. He didn't even charge us for his time and knowledge, which is invaluable. We definitely would recommend him, and use him when replacing our roof.

Everything was done well. The only snag was that their shingle supplier ran out of shingles b/4 completion of project which was not their fault. The project was completed without adding additional fees. Very pleased with the end results.

From start to finish, everything was done as promised. The roofers came on time. The job lasted 2 days. The price was the same as initially quoted, there were no extra or hidden costs. I had previously gotten many quotes for the re-roof and theirs was about average. I went with Affordable because of their reviews on Angie's and with the BBB. My choice was also because Affordable is a GAF Master Elite Contractor. I did not need any plywood replaced thankfully. I asked in advance for a Florida Windstorm Mitigation Report to be done showing the new roof was completed and up to the Florida Building Code. It was provided to me at no additional cost. I selected a roof with energy credits and was provided the information link for tax purposes. I took advantage of their 12 months same as cash financing offer through Wells Fargo Bank. Most of all, my GAF Weather Stopper Integrated Roofing System has earned the prestigious Good Housekeeping Seal. I selected all G.A.F. Timberlinle HD white architectural shingle roof (with peel and stick water barrier underlayment) which looks clean and beautiful. I have a Lifetime Warranty on the shingles with a 5 year installation warranty. Plus, it is saving me over $600 per year on my homeowners insurance with the Windstorm Mitigation Report Inspection. I'm also saving about 5 percent on my electric cooling costs due to the "energy star" rating. I am a "happy camper".

It went great. To start this was the only roofing company that provided an estimate by actually walking the roof and looking at it physically. The others either did a digital scan from sattelite photos or walked the perimeter. Affordable roofing came by and talked us through what it would be like because the project would take 2 days. They cleaned up all debris from the roof and left the yard almost completely spotless. We have no more leaks and the roof vents provide much needed ventilation in the attic.

Afffordable Roofing installed severely mold spoiled plywood on my roof. When, I came home during lunch, I asked the workers to replace the mold spoiled plywood with a new, clean plywood. Affordable refused to replace the mold spoiled plywood and abandoned the job. They left me without a roof during the hurricane season and refused to return my deposit of $1,000. Affordable sent a fraudulent bill to my lawyer, claiming that they paid a lot more money for the roofing materials than they really did (most likely, they did not even purchased the materials). After Affordable abandoned the job they wanted to be paid for the roofing materials and not just the regular price but about $ 10,000 more. After , I sued Affordable for theft, breach of contract and illegal contract, they sued me back for roofing material, lost of contract and commission paid. Affordable claims that they took the mold spoiled plywood but left new roofing materials at my house. I do not know a contractor who would leave new materials worth thousands of dollars at a customer house after they quit the job. It is worth to mention at the end that the owner, James Mellette, is one of the most arrogant men I have ever met.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we were unable to go ahead with a new roof at this time, but we will be calling them in the future to do the work.

Very good experience. All the quotes were all more than double that. The price was fair and they do quick work and it was done right.
