They did a great job on the new roof and and their sales person Don checked back while the job was being installed and also helped a great deal with helping us after the job was completed. There was an area that the installers missed while making repairs and there were some miscommunications that delayed the repairs being made after the job was completed, but all-in-all Affordable Roofing came through and did a satisfactory job. I rated them a "B" only because of the mis-communications and difficulty in getting them back out to complete the work. The work that they did was an "A."

On July 29 I signed a contract with Affordable Roofing Systems, at which time I provided a deposit in the amount of $1,750 . (The estimate for the job was $8,750.) The contract stated that the approximate start date would be 4 - 6 weeks hence. By September 5 I had not heard anymore from Affordable and no work had begun. I called to ask when work would begin on my roof. The receptionist said that she would have 'Rick' call me later that day. I received no call. I called the following day and was again told that 'Rick' does all the scheduling and would call me back. To make a long story short, no one ever called to update me on scheduling delays. On Tuesday, September 10, I made my fifth call to find out when work might begin on my roof and the receptionist told me that I was scheduled for September 18. I thank her for the information and ask if Rick is in the office. I hold, and a few minutes later he asks what he can do for me. I had one question for him: Why hadn't someone from his company returned calls from a customer who had been patiently waiting for 6 weeks? What followed was a truly unprofessional temper tantrum. His profanity-sprinkled response was to tell me that "It's all about you, isn't it?" and that it's "heartless soul-less people like [me] that caused his heart attack." I do not wish ill health on anyone and was genuinely sorry to hear he had had recent health problems. (This was the first I had heard about it.) But I feel that he had no proper answer to my question, didn't want to apologize and used his health issues as a smoke screen to duck any obligation of common courtesy on his part. He suggested that Affordable would refund my $1,750 deposit and that we go our separate ways. I accepted this offer and we concluded the phone call. A few days later, I received a check for $1,600.37. They kept $149.63 for "permit fee", "other fee total" and "NOC & permit service". I would not recommend this company to anyone who believes keeping your word, and common courtesy are important when doing business.

I only use contractors who follow through on their commitments. I will not call this contractor again because they promised an updated quote and did not deliver on the promise. 9/6/13 Update - This is a contractor that cares about their reputation. They called and apologized. They offered another quote. I thanked them and explained that I have moved on.

All repairs done at fair price in a timely fashion. Most importantly they recommended a product to me that I could apply myself to prevent future problems. All other roofers that looked at the problem had tried to convince me to put a whole new roof on. I would strongly recommend this company and applaud them for their honesty.

They were excellent. They were there very early and worked all day long. They were very good about cleaning up after themselves. Very detailed oriented. The owners son also came by several times to check on the work which I appreciated.

They were very prompt and very thorough. We had little bit of an issue after the services were provided. It was a problem with our roof and so they came back immediately and fixed it. So they were very reliable.

Dan our salesman was ambitiously informative, the immediate provider of tons of samples, and possibly one of the best roofing marketeers in the world. The ultimate unavailability of HD Ultra shingles in hunter's green, which really are not offered in this region period, a small supply of which were somehow found by Dan in a Tampa warehouse, was solved by upgrading our shingles to the designer series Woodland for $300 less. We did not have to wait a full 3-4 weeks for them to come out, and thankfully, we totally missed the rain. The owner called to schedule and they arrived on-time. The roof took about 1 1/2 days to complete and the cleanup was performed daily. We have only found 2 nails in our yard due to the use of a magnet to collect them after the work. The crew was cordial and hardworking and happy. Dustin the son wrapped up the loose ends nicely. Very nice install and painless process. Minimal plant damage and we have flower beds everywhere. Beautiful choice of shingles, and Affordable prides itself in being one of the few companies that can install these, because they are tricky. Payment was made upon delivery of wind mitigation documents in my office by another son of the owner. Extra charge for new plywood was $120 and a pleasant surprise. These guys are good, but not the cheapest, but not the most expensive. Crews have been with them for a good while.

They were very up front with their prices, the inspection went fine, they were prompt for the appointments. We were very pleased with them. Once the job was completely, they sent someone to re-inpsect the final job before they called for the final inspection. They also took 40 or pictures for us and gave all the information to me to provide to our insurance company.

They have provided very good work so far. My experience has been very positive so far, they seem to know what they are doing. They have a good reputation not just from Angie's List but also around town. A lot of people around town uses their services. I have a sign contract but due to the rain they have not been able to start working yet. They are very professional and were prompt to respond to my call and I will continue to use them in the future.

Awesome work. Very people-friendly. Very understanding of any situation you have. Went above and beyond. John has been wonderful in contacting me all the time.

They were great to work with. They came to the house and wrote an estimate and gave me options. They said it would be 2-3 weeks but is was a little under 2 weeks. They came out on time. The crew went right to work and did not stop until done. They finished the entire job within 2 hours. They also clean everything up before leaving. I would highly recommend them and would use them again if needed.

They did a good job! They are not always as timely as I would like, but I would recommend them.

Provider answered all my questions concerning materials and procedures but decided to go with another provider with a different application method. Was not comfortable with his application procedure although he was using it on several chain and local businesses. Although I did not contract for his services ,I still feel comfortable recommending him.

The overall experience went very well. The company was accomodating as far as meetings to discuss roof and as to actual start date of reroof. The people were very professional and courteous and explained everything in great detail.

A polite, hard working team put in long hours and seemed to work efficiently. They were not as thorough as I had hoped in cleaning up scraps and nails but no one I know has been satisfied with that aspect of a roofing job. The company was helpful in providing paperwork and pictures to take to my insurers for the reduction in my policy cost I was eligible for.

It didn't go well. Leaks still exist, though we haven't had heavy enough rains for me to contact the company again - which I intend to do when the rains come this Spring. ****The previous grade was due to a miscommunication on both ends, and we have since communicated and I am happy with their work.

Everything went extremely well from start to completion to final payment.

From the initial phone call the company representatives were very prompt in setting up an appointment to give us a quote for a complete roofing job. Even though it was several months before we finally moved forward with the work, they were very prompt and kept the pricing the same. They were willing to work with our schedule and with other work we had going on simultaneously. They stripped the old roof and replaced the rotten wood that was found, installed vapor barrier, ridge vents, squirrel cages and new tile. They painted all of the vents with spray paints we provided. They did a great job cleaning up - we found very few nails. Their inspector answered all of our questions and provided us with the paperwork to give our insurance company for wind mitigation. They recommended other companies and contractors for us to work with to get a sky light installed at the same time and to replace the gutters on the house. Would recommend to friends and neighbors.

It was excellent! I couldn't brag about the workers anymore, they were very professional and fast!

They did an excellent job, started and finished on time, no glitches and cleaned up after themselves. I would highly recommend them to anyone. This is a family owned business that is very well run.

We are very pleased with the work performed by Affordable Roofing Systems. After a bunch of research, including Angie's List, we invited 6 companies to visit and supply information and estimates. From the first visit by Affordable's Dan Klosicki to our home, through phone calls from and to the Affordable office, close contact with Tony and his hard working installation team, and a visit and installation inspection from the owner's son Dustin, it was obvious to us that we made the right choice when we selected Affordable Roofing Systems. After introductions Dan started his visit up on the roof to measure and examine the existing roof structure. We then talked about the various products available. He knows the products and the roofing business and was able to answer all of our questions as the presentation progressed. Very low key and informative presentation by Dan which ended on a very happy note for me when Dan told my wife and I to take our time deciding and that the prices he had offered on his visit would be available whenever we made up our minds to go with Affordable. No pressure, just facts. Dan was extremely professional, polite, knowledgeable and friendly and it was a pleasure having him in our home. He called throughout the process to ensure that we were satisfied with the work being done and to help us obtain various discounts. Dan set the positive tone that existed throughout the entire project. Tony's installation team arrived at least 15 minutes early on each of the scheduled work days, and after covering landscaping around the house, were on the roof and working within minutes of their arrival. All my life it has been a pleasure to work with and to be around people that know and enjoy what they do. Tony's team are well trained, experienced roofers that put in a full day and seem to enjoy what they do. They kept me informed from start to finish of the project identifying and showing me damaged wood as it was discovered and keeping me informed about how the work was progressing. They answered all of my questions that often included showing me pieces of the various products they were using to help me understand what was being done. They used the new Florida code required nails to fasten the deck to the trusses, took pictures of the damage they found and repaired, used 6 nails per shingle, trust me I heard every nail, and cleaned up the work area each day before they left. The installation team was courteous, professional, knowledgeable, hard working and willing to keep me informed on project progress. They photographed all of the damage and repairs to the deck and structure for use with the Florida wind mitigation inspection that I've submitted to my insurance company for discounts. From covering the landscaping on the first day to the final clean up on the last day it was a pleasure to be around Tony and the installation team. Dustin, the owner's son, visited once during the installation to check on progress and begin inspection and again a couple of days after the work was complete to do the final company inspection, and to deliver the final invoice, warranty paperwork, and wind mitigation inspection forms complete with color photos for submission to my insurance company for discounts. He also helped me prepare the paperwork to receive a discount from the manufacturer of the shingles and other products installed on the roof. The day I paid the final invoice all work was complete including the final company and county inspection and I had in hand all of the paperwork I needed to apply for various manufacturer and insurance discounts. Additional information: The estimate I received from Affordable Roofing Systems was the second lowest out of the 6 that I received. A price list of wood products that might be required to repair any damage discovered during the work was attached to the contract I signed so there were no surprises. I was shown the wood damage as it was discovered by the installation team so I could verify what was being replaced. The damage was extensive but I feel confident that all of the damage was discovered and repaired and I now have a roof that is stronger than the original. Affordable has liability insurance and workman's comp on their employees. I confirmed this information with the Florida Workman's Compensation folks. There are two sets of Angie's List reviews for Affordable Roofing Systems, Affordable Roofing Systems and Affordable Roofing Florida. The contact information is the same for both sets of reviews and from what I see on Angie's List it is the same company. Replacing a roof in Florida is expensive because of building code changes as a result of past storm damage. Take the time required to do your research and make an informed decision.

Was advised when I excepted the terms of the bid and a contract drawn, it would be approximately 5 weeks before the job could commence. Meanwhile, we decided to replace the facia and paint it prior to the roof installation. I contacted Affordable again, and the estimator came out, quoted the price, picked up the wood and delivered it as agreed. The contract was amended to reflect the labor charges to install the facia. I paid for the wood direct to the estimator. We continued to wait for a call from Affordable on a date to install the roof. The roof I'm referring to is for a free standing, 2 car, concrete block garage on our property. I finally called them to determine start date. Was informed of the date which is now in excess of a month from the date the contract was signed along with an initial deposit.The work commenced approximately 5 days from the date I called. Workers came, removed the old roof, installed the new roof and the painted facia boards. They cleaned up the debris and was advised someone would be by that same day to remove the dumpster and also advised the inspector would call before coming out to inspect the roof. The dumpster was not removed until the next day (Very annoying as we have a fenced drive and a dog which we have to contain). The inspector did not call, just came and was about to leave due to the gate being closed and the signage about the dog. I happened to be outside and saw him and let him in. He conducted his inspection of the roof which did not pass inspection (code violation) due to the number of nails in the shingles not meeting code requirements. I contacted Affordale to advise them and they were closed for the start of the Thanksgiving Holidays. After several days Affordable Roofing did return and made the necessary corrections, the roof passed the re-inspection and we paid Affordable on December 3, 2012. This project took 2 months from start to finish. Overall, I was very disappointed, as we have owned and resided at this property in excess of 40 years and have over the years had extensive contact with contractors in various remodeling projects on our home and property and this was the very FIRST TIME WORK PERFORMED HERE DID NOT PASS INSPECTION. We are satisfied with the products Affordable used, but their time management and communications left something to be desired. Their estimator Dan Klosicki was outstanding and did a great job however I did not experience the same type of professionalism with others I spoke with and their work not passing the initial inspection.

Very prompt. Called us right away, scheduled us right away. Didn't have to wonder if they were going to call or not.

The roofing company came on the day that they said that they would. The work and clean up was very good over all I am very happy with affordable roofing I would recommend this company.

Overall they were good in service. They were very professional.
